One thing about Meet The Robinsons that could be interesting is the nature of the main character's invention. It was a device to find and show memories deeply buried within one's subconscious. Given how important memories have been to the series, and in particular how forgetting and recreating them has been a plot point in some ways, this seems like it could be a pretty major narrative device for a KH game.
Imagine a Disney world having a *major* narrative role in the story of KH games. They barely are remembered between each other and rarely touch anything original to KH including other characters and especially important story beats after the first game's Princesses of Heart.
Ducktales 2017 world where Donald gets the Barxian back and is trying to hide the heartless threat from everyone to comedic effect, knowing they would think it's an adventure
They could have FF jobs just like how Donald and Goofy have too, maybe have Donald tell the others they went on adventures together. Panchito being a Ranger and Jose being a Rogue.
I agree that Black Cauldron isn’t getting a full world, but I’d love to see a secret boss of the Horned King at some point. Like a real difficult fight against waves of skeletons, with opportunities to attack him after each wave. And maybe the reward could be a Dyrnwyn-inspired keyblade that has really good Magic stats and abilities.
Black Cauldron fits the best into KH out of the early Disney films that haven’t made an appearance yet imo, though idk if it’ll ever happen since Disney kind of wants us to forget it ever existed. Would love to see it though.
A little iffy if Encanto could work in KH. For the world, it's mostly the house and town. It would be cool if we fought Heartless shadow versions of the family members to free them from the Heartless. Luisa, Isabela and Pepa would definitely be the hardest ones to beat.
With Sora being trapped in unreality, the fictional show from Bolt would be a neat pick. There aren't really that many worlds to pick from within that niche - something Wreck-It Ralph related is likely and maybe Lightyear is possible if Nomura got early info about it but I doubt it. the package films may not make a good world, but the headless horseman would be an awesome boss A Lilo & Stitch world set on Hawaii could look really good, and I think you can fudge the timeline a bit to have Sora arrive while the movie is happening Atlantis is one of my most wanted worlds, but it's not gonna happen lol an Encanto world should be set after the movie entirely inside the Casita, maybe darkness can cause the rooms to grow and turn into adventure areas until you seal something
I feel that Moana is more likely than Lilo and Stitch to fill the role of a nautical, tropical world. I love this idea for an Encanto world! I feel like we’ll either get Encanto or Coco but not both.
Love that Encanto idea! They could also have Mirabel as a constant party member and the different family members as temporary party members if they’re feeling really ambitious, like maybe you go into Louisa’s room which is being overtaken by darkness or something and she joins you and helps you out and then the same for Isabella’s room when you go there. Could also open up possibilities for gimmicky gameplay which KH loves to do, like maybe Isabella does the Rapunzel swing across a gap thing by producing vines or you have Louisa push boulders out of the way Pokémon style or something like that.
43:12 Zootopia Sora would just be his lion form from Pride Lands, but bipedal and wearing his clothes. It's honestly not that hard to imagine, same goes for the story. Bellwether gains the power of darkness and makes animal Heartless swarm the city, which paints predators in a bad light, allowing her to gain political power and become mayor. We sort it out and fight Bellwether, she turns into a demonic goat Heartless and we kill that too.
Maybe Quadratum could be a sort of nexus for Disney characters like Traverse Town was. But it would be characters from properties specifically associated with cities like Oliver, Bolt or Zootopia.
@@creature6715 I think at the very least, we could get an appearance from the live action version of Maleficent since that movie was the most successful out of all the remakes, plus it would be cool to see Sora interact with a version of one of his enemies that's a good guy.
22:26 Okay you say that but Nomura designed the summon Hades in Final Fantasy VII (not previously in any other FF) who looks almost exactly like The Horned King and his attack is named Black Cauldron. So its somehow not 100% impossible
Really happy to see New Groove, Atlantis, and Treasure Planet get a lot of votes, those have been on my KH wishlist forever, and while I agree that the likelihood of them showing up diminishes with each passing year, a guy can dream. I think a Robin Hood or Zootopia world would be a fun way to pay homage to Sora’s early concept design, where he’s a little lion guy. I’ll always hold a little hope for that one, just cause I think it’d be neat. Definitely think Moana has a good chance based on everything you’ve said. Her dealing with her grandmother’s death being a fitting tie to the main theme of KH4 and the popularity of the film, of proper Disney films I definitely see this one having the best chance. The Pixar list is going to be interesting and I think there’s really only a few films in Pixar’s catalog that really stand a chance. A lot of them just wouldn’t vibe as a KH world or the transformations necessary would be unappealing to say the least (I’m looking at you Cars and Finding Nemo), but I will be shocked. SHOCKED. If Coco doesn’t win your poll.
I'm actually pretty into Cars as a mini game world similar to Hundred Acre Woods or KH2 Atlantica except it would be racing and car related mini games. Maybe racing with McQueen, towing with Mater, a Monster Truck rally or something. That would be cool
This may seem a weird tangent, but there's this strange feature in the KH universe where, despite the party and Sora in particular needing to be disguised by magic on some worlds to fit in, Donald and Goofy are often in worlds of only humans, no anthropomorphic animals, and are completely ignored or treated as normal--Mulan, Tangled, Frozen, Pirates, even Hercules to a degree. In that vein, and in relation to the subject of hand, I would LOVE to see KH4 have Sora visit a world of anthropomorphic animals, like Robin Hood or Zootopia, and have everyone completely ignore the fact that he's human, rather than giving him an animal form to 'fit in'. I doubt they'd ever be that clever, but it'd be fun to see them finally hang a lampshade on what is low-key one of the stupidest little problems with KH logic.
I actually think Encanto could work really well thematically if they focus more on the "family" aspect. As is noted, Sora doesn't really have a family (I mean I guess we don't really know whatever happened to his heard-but-not-seen mom after KH1), but I think it would be really touching and sweet to have him come to a realization of having a "found family". Maybe realizing that his relationships with Donald and Goofy, Riku, Roxas, etc, while not being actual relatives, still function as a support system and being able to connect with the Madrigals on that level. I also think the Casita would be such a fun world to make in KH. Imagine a gauntlet of obstacles and enemies trying to get up to Bruno's room. Encanto, Moana and Zootopia I think are the most likely candidates for sure. But I hope they're able to get some older stuff in there too just so we can have some of that classic KH charm.
This is unrelated, but I just wanna say this. A friend of mine follows you on Twitter and she showed me an AU where KH is consistent of Nickelodeon stuff. And I wanna say that I freaking love the idea of Blue's Clues replacing the Dalmatians of finding the clues throughout the worlds. Mainly because I was a *HUGE* fan of that show!
@@notproductiveproductions3504 I believe Mr. Regular said that Aang's companions were the Donald and Goofy for that AU and Aang is the Mickey Mouse version. There were a lot of ideas I like and made sense. Instead of Monstro, we go inside of Reptar. Aaah! Real Monsters is the Halloween Town version. And instead of Beast going to Hollow Bastion, it's Danny Phantom going in to rescue Sam. Basically, those were the highlights for me. But the one that stays with me is the Blue's Clues idea.
Maybe for Encanto we have Bruno as the actual party member instead of Mirabel and we see the events of the movie from his perspective. They could use the "Bruno is the one patching the cracks" thing as him trying to free Casita from the darkness while trying to stay hidden and having Sora helping because he accidentally entered between the walls. They could even use that if they're forced to give it the Frozen treatment and have the movie scenes play while Sora is trying to move within the walls
I'd be against Raya being used as a KH princess of heart. I mean, sure, that's what she's literally called. But it wouldn't fit the character from the movie to be considered one of the purest of heart. She spends a portion of her movie trying to kill someone in revenge. That girl does not have a heart devoid of darkness.
Actually, it might be kind of funny if Sora showed up to Raya’s world, heard she was called a Princess of Heart, and then gets confused by what she does.
If anything, I think she'd make a neat decoy. I can imagine whatever villain trying to hunt down the princesses tracks her down as a lead only to get beat up in the end.
It’s fair to say that they’ll pick and choose specific elements in some of these to be represented in smaller ways. People seem to forget that just because a movie is not qualified to work as a world, doesn’t mean it can’t be represented in an original world. Hell, I love it when they do that cuz you get things like the Dalmatian hunt, Stitch in HB/RG, Remi in Twilight Town to name a few. Even a few boss fights like Chernobog and Julius (man what obscure one). Sleepy Hollow world is unlikely, but a headless horseman boss fight would be super rad.
The strongest thing about Sword in the Stone is actually quite simple. Mad Madame Mim. Probably Disney's most underrated villain, and one that would be fantastic interacting with Sora, especially with her multiple transformations as a boss. She also could use the opportunity to be brought back into the spotlight by Disney as a whole.
Weirdly, if anyone were to secretly have a soft spot for the Black Cauldron, it would likely be a Japanese developer like Nomura. The Black Cauldron is notably more well liked in Japan than it is basically anywhere else in the world because of the fact that Disneyland Tokyo had an extremely well done Black Cauldron walkthrough attraction beneath their version of the Disney Castle. It's a bit of an infamous exhibit for western fans because of the fact that it's a much darker, more conventionally scary attraction than would typically be found in a Disney park, though that was very much part of the appeal to the Japanese audience. The fact that it had such a substantial cult following is why it took them so long to eventually refurbish it into a much more generic Cinderella Ride, though as stated it would make the most sense for a modern reference to the Black Cauldron to come from a Japanese dev like Nomura who might have fond memories of the attraction. Even then however, it's definitely a very unlikely possibility, just a bit more likely than if Kingdom Hearts was a distinctly western product like most of Disney's library.
Also, I could be misremembering but I think it was said that The Black Cauldron was popular enough in Japan that a few videogames were inspired by it, most notably The Legend of Zelda.
We need Jon Favreaus Lion King. However, a boy running around with a giant key is too unrealistic for his vision. So they gameplay will be just a few animals running around for a few hours, singing lesser versions of the original songs.
I actually don't think it's as bad as most people do. It's not great, and maybe even calling it "good" is a stretch, but for my money I think Chicken Little is far worse. At least HotR has a unique visual style and some jokes that work.
@@eieneidnf Oh for sure. It's a dumb villain song but I also think I'd rather listen to that song on repeat for the 81 minute runtime of Chicken Little than watch Chicken Little again. That's how bad I think Chicken Little is.
Here's an Idea: The Muppet Show as a minigame world akin to 100 Acre Woods. Like, imagine you're finding "Tickets" to episodes of the Muppet Show, with each new one rescuing a different Muppet, and the minigames have Sora participate in whatever the Muppet in question ropes him into. Also, the intro to the world has Kermit singing Rainbow Connection, because people still remember the Muppet Movie, right?
"I doubt Disney was really pushing for Tron representation in 2005" - Tron 2 was in dev hell for years prior to Legacy coming out. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if it was a planned thing.
Been waiting for a series like this! Love that approach this critically as many people just hype up their favorite movies that have like no chance to make it in
I want another Disney Villain Cabal. And I want Professor Ratigan to be in it. Will it ever happen? Probably not, but as “The World’s Greatest Criminal Mind” I feel like he could outsmart most of the primary players in this game. Make him like an evil chirithi to the Master of Masters. Speaking of Disney Villains working with the villains of Kingdom Hearts, just like The Good Fairies design clothes for the heroes, the KH Villains get their duds from Cruella DeVil. One look at Xemnas and you KNOW I’m right.
Treasure Planet, Moana and Kuzco's New Groove is a definite want for me as a world. Edit: I just realized we could have Sora meet Doofenschmirtz, and have him hear all of Doofs sad back stories lol.
“Ah Perry the Platypus. May I introduce you to my new KEYBLADE-INATOR. You see, when I was a young boy, my brother Roger was a powerful Keyblade wielder. I could never summon one of my own, and my father was very disappointed. With this inator I will destroy all the keyblades in the whole TRI-STATE AREA!”
When you mentioned the throwdown with grandma, all I could think is that she has insane hp and her special move is just her yeeting a ton of chanclas and the more you dodge or block the angrier she gets.
When we get to the live-action stuff, I've said it before and I'll say it again, we NEED to see Wonderland return. I can just imagine the interactions: Sora: "Alice!" Live Action Alice: "Who are you? How do you know my name?" Sora: "It's me, Sora! Don't you remember me?" Alice: "Sora. What a curious name." Something like that. It would be amazing to show that while yes, this is still Alice, Wonderland, etc., and Sora may remember them, they're still different and don't know who he is.
Honestly, I agree; It would be the perfect opportunity to completely mess with Sora and his past experiences. The names of the characters and locations may be the same, and some of the plot beats may line up with that of Reality, but everything else? Well, Unreality don't operate like that. Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it, it would be cool if these situations also referenced how Castle Oblivion worked in Chain of Memories: These characters connected to Sora feel like they know him, but, at least as far as they're concerned, they've never seen him before. If we expand this concept to Unreality, maybe the Tim Burton version of Alice feels like she knows Sora because of the fact that animated 1951 Alice straight up knows Sora, which then adds even more confusion to the situation.
I think the number one reason why Princess and the Frog is one of my most hoped KH4 worlds is because Dr. Facilier has a ton of potential to be a great boss fight Zootopia, on the other hand, is one of my less favorite picks because I never want to see Sora befriending a cop
I could absolutely see Moana, when the islands start dying the heartless could easily start spawning everywhere and organization 13 or Maleficent would probably be interested in the heart of Te Fiti. For Raya, the shadow monsters that turn people into statues could EASILY transfer over to being heartless. And for Encanto, I like what someone else said about the heartless corrupting the house and the magic and representing the familiy's internal problems physically as heartless that no one else can see except for Sora, Donald, and Goofy would be cool
27:08 "real life is fucking boring" Allow me to introduce you to Sabaton Edit: Moana fits Kingdom Heart 4 almost too perfectly. With, as you mentioned, Moana's relatio ship with someone who's passed (guaranteed to be used as a connection between hearts), but also the biggest plot point being to bring a heart back to where it belongs and bring the world back to the way it should be. KH4 will happily explore this and I feel like Kairi and Moana would form the best partnership because of it.
You know, I never wanted or expected an 101 dalmations world in KH. I never really imagine what you could do with that film or propety, but the moment you mention the idea of Pikimin like mechancis with the 101 dalmations sundelly a bunch of lights blinked in my brain and now I want something I never thought I would want. Very creative, Pat.
Tbh brother bear would be a good story for Roxas, sora, ventus and xion. It would be a good fit for how the four 'siblings' learn to exsist when they're all the same person
The Black Cauldron has so much potential, but even the movie couldn’t tap into it. It had such an epic setting and circumstances yet somehow was such a BORING movie. If it ever appeared in KH the KH writing team would need to pull too much extra weight to make the world compelling.
Damn is it depressing for me to see bolt that low since it's actually a pretty cute movie and to be frank I can see it working in one of two ways 1: sora could be asked to act in the bolt tv show and he would be helping bolt and penny but of course, after defeating a boss or something the episode would end and you would have to wait a while to continue the next episode, kinda like the 100 acre wood but with combat 2: since sora is in a "fictional" world, maybe the events of bolt's show are real in that dimension in another planet
I think option 2 would be great considering that Bolt's obligatory licensed video game tie-in had a similar premise of being set within the events of the show and it turned out as a decent enough action platformer/beat 'em up. The only thing I think we'd be missing out on if it went that direction is the climax of the actual movie with the studio fire, which I could see being turned into a boss fight with some big fire Heartless, but even then I could see that still coexisting with a world set primarily in the TV show in a sort of inverse of how Young Xehanort trapped Sora in Verum Rex: Beat of Lead during the events of Toy Box. Even then the boss of that world could just be Dr. Calico, who, in the video game, threw down with Bolt himself using big glowing claws and teleportation.
While I get taking the themes and lessons into account when considering a movie making it into the games, let me remind you how little Agrabah touched on the message of the Aladdin movie.
I’d like to quickly appreciate the music selection for each of the movies lol. The themes that were picked just fit really well, even if they were totally unrelated.
I have to disagree about Encanto: Mirabelle absolutely has a Gift - at the end of the movie, she even has a Door - her power is her heart - or, to put it another way: her family is her power. Throughout the movie, the cracks manifest most when she feels divorced from her family, and the candle burns brighter when she and the rest of the family get closer. It's when Mirabelle and Abuella argue that the family loses their powers, and Casita collapses. Some of that may be to do with Abuella's part of the Miracle, but the first time we see the cracks, it's when Mirabelle is feeling excluded. The movie's demonstration of her Gift - healing her family's traumas, individually and collectively - even fits well with her mother's own Gift of healing physical harm. The movie's plot revolves around no-one thinking nor acknowledging that Mirabelle has a Gift, but all along, she is the Gift - the Miracle (literally - it's even her name!) she's been waiting on.
I'm currently running a Kingdom Hearts DnD style rpg. I've included a fair number of the films you mentioned here. My players have been to Moana (Tefi ti's Paradise), Brave (The Emerald Highlands), they're currently in Atlantis, next is Treasure Planet (Galactic Shores) and finishing off with Black Cauldron (Land of Prydain). So far it's been really fun.
44:25. You know...looking back on this, I think this argument is ironic as shit. We're talking about the same series that has done Western European medieval-fantasy kingdoms since 2005, some of which (like in the case of Birth by Sleep) contained 3 similar worlds in the exact same game. (Most of which even had the exact same character dynamics and plotlines.) I think they're perfectly okay with doing 2-3 city based (Or, in the case of the Pixar and live action videos, 2-3 superhero based) worlds without any issues so long as the dynamics, aesthetics, and plotlines are different from one another.
I'd love to see more 3D Disney movies become worlds in Kingdom Hearts, however I also REALLY hope 2D Disney properties don't get phased out out completely!!
I think for the Black Caldron most people just want to see what the Horned King would be like in the KH style. However, I'm also not delusional and know that that isn't going to happen.
I think you should also do surveys/videos on Disney TVA (Stuff like Ducktales, Amphibia, and Phineas and Ferb) and Disney Parks (Stuff like the Matterhorn, Tower of Terror, and Haunted Mansion). I know those would have zero chance to be in KH4, but I think it will still be fun to think of worlds for those.
Dream Drop Distance was stupidly perfect for a world like Meet The Robinsons. It was a CGI Disney Film that wasn't super big, pretty recent, was literally split into two halves, with the potential of Sora exploring the Future while Riku explores the Present. Bowler Hat Guy could have some funny conflict with Young Xehanort due to them both utilizing Time Travel. Level Design-wise too imagine exploring the Robinson's Ginormous House with DDD's Flowmotion. You could have a fun boss fight with Bowler Hat Guy, the T-Rex, maybe Bowler Hat Guy could have some control over the Nightmare's due to his Trauma, while Lewis also gets some near the end, likely during the same boss fight. You could even have some fun memory jank with Lewis' Memory Viewer, with seeing some of KH1's Events through the lens of Riku, or potentially having Sora use it once and getting confused about seeing the events at Castle Oblivion. Genuinely how did Meet the Robinsons not happen for Dream Drop I am genuinely confused. How was it not at least considered? And even then you could've delayed the game to 2013 and have it be such an OBVIOUS PICK I wish this happened so badly!!!!!!!!
I would love another "Disney Castle/Disney Town" type of world where Pacnhito and Jose or maybe even the Three Little Pigs show up! Could be a fun way to work in the characters without making it a full world. Kind of like a round up of all of the characters that would show up on the Mickey Mouse Club back in the day.
12:57 “At this point it feels more likely than a Pikmin 4.” Greetings from the future where Pikmin 4 has been announced! So I guess that means 101 Dalmatians world confirmed
the way i imagen an Encanto world is that it is kind of a boss rush world Sora, Donald & Goofy meet Mirabel outside of Casita, as she screams for help Casita is being taken over by shadowy creatures, who have locked her family members up in there rooms the trio rush inside and free Casita's main area (that big center place, without a roof) and Casita can function again, despite Heartless still showing up but now Mirabel uses Casita to fight them, while Sora can now choose 1 of the doors to go into inside each room, you fight a boss themed after the power of the family member (like the Bruno boss, can slow you down, or speed itself up, as well as throw sand around) when you have freed a family member, they can be found in the main area, giving all sorts of help some help fight against the Heartless in the main area, while others stand on the side giving tips or heals
I feel like mentioning that when it comes to A Bugs Life, I would have raided it closer to an 8 or 9 with the one caveat of Jiminy being a party member. Jiminy is a character that’s very easy to forget is there, because he barely shows up in any scene, even though he’s canonically on sora at all times. I think it would be really cool to have Jiminy as a party fighting alongside you, but Sensorio is separated from Jiminy, that seems unlikely, barring a non-solar play through taking place in “reality”. Still think so right training the Bug Warriors and the ants would be fun, and I would love to fight Harper as a boss, before getting eaten by the bird after the fight, and then Hopper turns into a heartless and processes the bird and you fight the bird as a boss. After the kingdom of corona, you can’t fully rule it out. And in regards to The Black Cauldron being so high rated in terms of want, I think this is because just because something is a bad film, that doesn’t mean it would conceptually make a bad world. As long as the story can be reworked, and/or the elements in the film would make for great gameplay, there’s no reason why a bad film couldn’t make for a great world (aside from maybe Song of The South).
For Encanto, it would be after the movie, and I’m thinking of an A and B plot set up. The a plot would be Kairi instead of Sora helping Mirabel, Antonio, and Bruno free Casita and the rest of the family from the heartless led by Maleficent, and Kairi would confide about her usefulness to her loved ones. Meanwhile, the B plot would either be Luxu or the Master of Masters escorting Alma back to Mirabel, and have them relate to each other with generational trauma (Luxu) and being victims of war and given a “miracle” in the face of it (MoM). In the end, Alma would be shocked to learn about the Master of Masters’s actions in starting the first Keyblade War, but hopes that MoM would do the right thing in the end.
This is primo Regular Pat content. All I have to say is it will be a crime if Moana is not in Kingdom Hearts IV. The movie was an instant classic and it’s a perfect fit for the game. Personally I would love Zootopia and Princess and the Frog as well.
39:18 I remember being excited for Bolt when it first came out in 2008. In fact, I still have a newspaper with an ad for the movie in it. Now _personally,_ I'm of the opinion it would have been much more interesting and successful had Bolt actually possessed superpowers, with Dr. Calico and his private army being real as well. Bolt would have made an awesome ally for Sora who could use Superbark as his limit break, along with his laser eyes and super strength---whereas the Heartless siding with Dr. Calico and his men would have been another perfect fit. But most of my interest quickly evaporated when I found out Bolt was just a regular dog. Kinda' depressed me for a while after seeing it, too. I guess it was this sense of...wasted potential.
One counter argument I can make for Mirabel being one of the New Seven Hearts: she doesn’t get a gift because Casita knows she’ll get the power soon and any gift Casita would give would nullify her getting the power. Pretty much she’ll be gifted by KH universe rules but not by Abuela’s understanding of the rules of Encanto.
I feel like a lot of these lend themselves much better to summons, as some of them already have been. Like, imagine if we got Bolt as a Thunder-based summon.
I didn't go into this video wanting or expecting an "Out of the Box" KH world being mentioned, but after thinking about Pete and Maleficent seeing this world and thinking, it must be the place they are seeking and getting angry at the numerous "boxes" that isn't THE box they're are looking for, it's definitely top 10 want for me :')
I wonder if they'd ever consider representing disney shows in any future kingdom hearts game. Mainly animated shows like their Disney Afternoon lineup (like Gargoyles and Ducktales), Phineas and Ferb, American Dragon, Kim Possible, Gravity Falls, Star vs the Forces of Evil, The Owl House, Amphibia. I think they could get really creative with many of these. Also I'm surious on everyone's thoughts on World revisits.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 Speaking of Dream Drop Distance, I'm salty that they picked Mickey and The Musketeers instead of The Prince and the Pauper, a really good short.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 I'm talking about a Prince and the Pauper short with Mickey Mouse that's legit so good and would've fit nicely in DDD, yet they went with Mickey and the Musketeers, which I'm not a fan of. It's not a full blown feeling of anger, but just a frustration that pops up when talking about DDD worlds.
I could see the organization or whatever the villian group in 4 is trying to kidnap Mirabelle thinking shes a princess of heart. Whatever they try with them doesnt work only for them to realize that shes not really one
I think Robin Hood could easily work if Sora meets back up with Donald and Goofy. The two of them already fit into the aesthetic of the world as anthro animals wearing medieval looking clothing so all they’d really need to do is turn Sora into a furry. If they do it, it’d be cool if they went back to that old concept art where Sora had a tail.
this is funny cause I had this idea of doing a video like this where I go over every Disney property to whether or not it'll be used for future kh games. but since I'm a lazy bum and never made a video your doing the concept and that's exciting lol
You know, since Quadratum is probably all connected as opposed to separate worlds, having a small area of iconic areas from films like Fox and Hound, Lady and the Tramp,101 Dalamtions, ect in Quatratum in the way Lady and the Tramp got in as a part of Traverse Town would be pretty interesting
7:15 Man, after you mentioned that, it got me thinking. It'd be so cool if you're just running around Quadratum as Sora and you see, amongst all the realistic looking surroundings, the three cabelloros just mucking around on the side of the street, animated to look like classic hand drawn 2D animation on a realistic background like in the movie they came from. Like Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Space Jam. Idk they could host some stupid minigame or something. I just think it would be neat if they were animated like that.
34:35 but remember KH3 having the Treasure Planet spherical map things out in space that you have to shoot at and then they give some kind of reward? That actually felt like some kind of indication that Treasure Planet could potentially play a bigger role in the future.
Wow, It's really cool that you did this. Frankly, I would really want to see one of Disney's TV properties like Kim Possible or Gravity Falls. Heck, I would be happy to throw down in the London Hotel.
As someone who loves the jungle book, I have a feeling it would include a rhythm game with King Louie and the monkeys. The boss fight with Shere Kahn could be similar to Scar's back in KH2; but more intense. Along with Robin Hood, I loved that film too! The archery tournament could be a fun section in the progression of that world; later becoming a minigame. Prince John summoning a heartless boss!!
The way the UX stuff was edited in for each time it wasn't mentioned, it makes it seem like the video is being haunted by UX. I giggled a bit each time.
I have a project that I think about on and off where I remake Kingdom hearts from the beginning. I’ve been thinking of it as an anthology series of comics that start with Cruella trying to kidnap the puppies and her serving as an introduction to the Heartless and other crazy magical stuff. It’s a grounded world, but it can introduce the crazier stuff from the universe if Cruella uses the Heartless to kidnap the puppies. so I thought it worked well for that purpose in my scenario
There was also a really early version I had that only had Disney characters in it, and Arthur replaced Sora as the “chosen one” character. Or maybe a replacement for Ventus since Arthur could definitely be someone with a completely pure heart. I know it’s very fanfiction-cringe lol
Honestly I would love for him to be the series’ new big bad. I don’t know why they keep creating anime OCs when Disney has a wealth of actual villains to work with
@@AudoPlay that may be true but Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is going into the public domain soon so Nomora could just easily take his chances and use Oswald when that happens and then Square Enix could just change the the story or they can keep the original one were Oswald is Mickey's brother or something like that and just call it a day but the thing is they can't call him Oswald the Lucky Rabbit they can only call him Oswald or Oswald the Rabbit because Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is a trademark owned by Disney just like they own the Mickey Mouse trademark and even if that's not the case Disney shouldn't be so stingy besides you know Nomura going to put what he wants into Kingdom Hearts anyway so what's the difference if it's not Kingdom Hearts 4 it's probably going to be some future Kingdom Hearts title
27:17 Just imagined a Pocahontas world in Dream Drop and having the Sora and Riku sides of the world be from the perspective of the natives and colonists..😂 Unironically could see that kind of working for DDD, I think that formula of splitting a world between two guys is where the world formula peaked for me, it's just fun dividing things into dualities
A world I have always really wanted that no one else cares about is a Rescuers Down Under world. I mean I think it would be very cool too explore the Australian Outback. The main problem with this is that it is a sequel to an unpopular Disney movie.
If this world survey has shown me anything, it's that the story of KH4 needs to find a way to bring in classic Disney villains in so we can beat them up, because there's so many classic villains we still haven't bashed into oblivion. Imagine the catharsis!
37:22 I was willing to give chicken little the benefit of the doubt like "Oh but that was when CG was still ugly." But you know what came out the same year? War of the Worlds.
Black Cauldron, Atlantis, and Treasure Planet are the worlds I personally would want to see the most, but I definitely agree that the chances of them getting the full world treatment might as well not exist, especially the former. Moana certainly feels like the most likely to make it in, and is probably the best choice out of all the "most likely picks." If New Groove got its own world, I'd be giddy.
startlight barking for kh? some of these might be hard to work, if they did not have a "bad guy" right? Bambi besides "man". Scar was haunting Simba in "Pridelands"
Personally, I would love to have Moanna and Raya be worlds that Sora, Riku, and Kairi can explore together since they, too, are islanders. Yes, Kairi is from Radiant Garden, but she grew up mostly in Destiny Islands. It would likely not happen this way, but yeah...Just a thought I like to think about.

@@williamrichter1113 I don't know... lightyear wasn't exactly a successful movie.
I saw someone say that they want Turning Red in KH4 purely for the teen girls to meet Riku
I don't remember Merlin being the one that gave Riku and Mickey their own Keyblades.
@@bureahuwaito yeah I remember that too
One thing about Meet The Robinsons that could be interesting is the nature of the main character's invention. It was a device to find and show memories deeply buried within one's subconscious. Given how important memories have been to the series, and in particular how forgetting and recreating them has been a plot point in some ways, this seems like it could be a pretty major narrative device for a KH game.
Seriously how in the hell did Meet the Robinsons not make DDD?
Imagine a Disney world having a *major* narrative role in the story of KH games. They barely are remembered between each other and rarely touch anything original to KH including other characters and especially important story beats after the first game's Princesses of Heart.
It'd be cool to have Namine like. Do something in regards to this. She is a hard side liner lately

@@Gender_Ascender Two words: Space Paranoids
For Amigos and Caballeros, rather than a world I could see Donald's friends being NPCs, like how the Ducktales characters are.
Ducktales 2017 world where Donald gets the Barxian back and is trying to hide the heartless threat from everyone to comedic effect, knowing they would think it's an adventure
It’d be cool if Huey, Dewey and Louie got updated to their Ducktales 2017 looks as well
I always imagined Panchito and Jose being allies to Kairi like Donald and Goofy are to Sora.
Could be a cool cut scene cameo where they show up and cut it up with Donald
They could have FF jobs just like how Donald and Goofy have too, maybe have Donald tell the others they went on adventures together. Panchito being a Ranger and Jose being a Rogue.
I agree that Black Cauldron isn’t getting a full world, but I’d love to see a secret boss of the Horned King at some point. Like a real difficult fight against waves of skeletons, with opportunities to attack him after each wave. And maybe the reward could be a Dyrnwyn-inspired keyblade that has really good Magic stats and abilities.
I mean that three musketeers movie got a full world so I dont see why they wouldnt give on to the black cauldron.
Black Cauldron fits the best into KH out of the early Disney films that haven’t made an appearance yet imo, though idk if it’ll ever happen since Disney kind of wants us to forget it ever existed. Would love to see it though.
Jesus Christ the good sovereign king loves you my friends
He never has abandoned or forsook you :" )
@Brandon Gray "Hand in Hand" huh? i think it would take some "vim and vigor"
lol Jesus Christ loves you my friend
The horned king has the potential to be a really epic battle!
encanto but the family's feelings are physically represented by heartless/darkness that weakens the house and corrupts the rooms
My thoughts excactly ^_^
Could be a way to bring back unversed without Vanitas.
A little iffy if Encanto could work in KH. For the world, it's mostly the house and town. It would be cool if we fought Heartless shadow versions of the family members to free them from the Heartless. Luisa, Isabela and Pepa would definitely be the hardest ones to beat.
i could imagine the Possessors from Beast's Castle would make sense for this plotline, as they go out and possess shit and cause a ruckus around town.
The house itself could be a boss
With Sora being trapped in unreality, the fictional show from Bolt would be a neat pick. There aren't really that many worlds to pick from within that niche - something Wreck-It Ralph related is likely and maybe Lightyear is possible if Nomura got early info about it but I doubt it.
the package films may not make a good world, but the headless horseman would be an awesome boss
A Lilo & Stitch world set on Hawaii could look really good, and I think you can fudge the timeline a bit to have Sora arrive while the movie is happening
Atlantis is one of my most wanted worlds, but it's not gonna happen lol
an Encanto world should be set after the movie entirely inside the Casita, maybe darkness can cause the rooms to grow and turn into adventure areas until you seal something
I feel that Moana is more likely than Lilo and Stitch to fill the role of a nautical, tropical world. I love this idea for an Encanto world! I feel like we’ll either get Encanto or Coco but not both.
Maybe Sora would just travel around the globe in the unreality with each part of the worlds that based-on? Just a rough thought.
@@ethantoh2084 that's actually a pretty interesting idea. kingdom hearts: unleashed lmao
Nah, Sora will inexplicably end up in Manhattan fighting chitauri
43:12 Zootopia Sora would just be his lion form from Pride Lands, but bipedal and wearing his clothes. It's honestly not that hard to imagine, same goes for the story. Bellwether gains the power of darkness and makes animal Heartless swarm the city, which paints predators in a bad light, allowing her to gain political power and become mayor. We sort it out and fight Bellwether, she turns into a demonic goat Heartless and we kill that too.
OOOOOOH SORA'S CONCEPT ART DESIGN!!!!!!! That would be such a cool throwback reference!!!!
No, Bellwether will be the only one who doesn't transform, which is good
Zootopia is my favorite movie, if it makes it into the game and gets a cool world and a cool story i would love it.

Maybe Quadratum could be a sort of nexus for Disney characters like Traverse Town was. But it would be characters from properties specifically associated with cities like Oliver, Bolt or Zootopia.
That’d be so fun! That was honestly part of the magic of KH1.
What if Quadratum sends you to worlds based off the recent Disney remakes?
@@JP-1990 I'd honestly be very disappointed, like those are the worse versions of the movies
@@creature6715 I think at the very least, we could get an appearance from the live action version of Maleficent since that movie was the most successful out of all the remakes, plus it would be cool to see Sora interact with a version of one of his enemies that's a good guy.
You could probably have live action characters too. Maybe Mary Poppins flies into town, or Sora stumbles upon a theatre and the Muppets are there.
Wasnt treasure planet was Requested upon 3d and Kh3 at that point
I'm actually pretty into Cars as a mini game world similar to Hundred Acre Woods or KH2 Atlantica except it would be racing and car related mini games. Maybe racing with McQueen, towing with Mater, a Monster Truck rally or something. That would be cool
90’s nostalgia. Honestly Atlantis from gameplay perspective sounds mid.
He could fit in a Marvel crossover if there’s a running joke where all of space mistakes him for Howard the Duck
Thats some wisdom right there! ^_^
I could imagine an alternate universe where Sora is vibing with Aang or Michelangelo
They could even use that if they're forced to give it the Frozen treatment and have the movie scenes play while Sora is trying to move within the walls
this is actually a really cool idea
He could also be in the party if Mirabel gets kidnapped if they make her one of the 7 hearts
Definitely agree on the princess of heart angle there, and to be honest it’s not too great of a movie imo. But it be a fun level to play in a KH game.
Maybe the angle could be the villian exploiting Raya's inner darkness?
Actually, it might be kind of funny if Sora showed up to Raya’s world, heard she was called a Princess of Heart, and then gets confused by what she does.
If anything, I think she'd make a neat decoy. I can imagine whatever villain trying to hunt down the princesses tracks her down as a lead only to get beat up in the end.
@@quinnhouk5369 What about Guy from Free Guy?
Thats fun to hear! Thanks for the info :) One can always hope!
I really like the Black cauldron honestly a lot more than most of the other classically animated movies in this list

Here's an Idea:
The Muppet Show as a minigame world akin to 100 Acre Woods.
Sounds great to me
Sora as a muppet sounds awesome
"I doubt Disney was really pushing for Tron representation in 2005" - Tron 2 was in dev hell for years prior to Legacy coming out. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if it was a planned thing.
Not to mention that Tron 2.0 came out a couple of years earlier. Its lightcycle is even featured in the KH2 minigame
Been waiting for a series like this! Love that approach this critically as many people just hype up their favorite movies that have like no chance to make it in
Also, I could see Encanto working as a new mini-game hub World. Each door could be some form of mini game, revolving around a character’s power.
I think there would be some fun scene with him and the rest.
Bring in Rourke, you know he'd turn on the squad for the Munny.
Treasure Planet, Moana and Kuzco's New Groove is a definite want for me as a world.
Edit: I just realized we could have Sora meet Doofenschmirtz, and have him hear all of Doofs sad back stories lol.
My immediate idea is that there are no heartless anywhere. But the gang are somehow convinced there are
for me its dinosaur and brother bear
“Ah Perry the Platypus. May I introduce you to my new KEYBLADE-INATOR. You see, when I was a young boy, my brother Roger was a powerful Keyblade wielder. I could never summon one of my own, and my father was very disappointed. With this inator I will destroy all the keyblades in the whole TRI-STATE AREA!”
Considering Doofenschmirtz becomes a good guy by the end image him in Sora’s party
Perry the platypus as a summon though
When you mentioned the throwdown with grandma, all I could think is that she has insane hp and her special move is just her yeeting a ton of chanclas and the more you dodge or block the angrier she gets.
When we get to the live-action stuff, I've said it before and I'll say it again, we NEED to see Wonderland return.
I can just imagine the interactions:
Sora: "Alice!"
Live Action Alice: "Who are you? How do you know my name?"
Sora: "It's me, Sora! Don't you remember me?"
Alice: "Sora. What a curious name."
Something like that.
Facilier has a ton of potential to be a great boss fight
Zootopia, on the other hand, is one of my less favorite picks because I never want to see Sora befriending a cop
🙄 not like Keyblade wielders aren't basically cops or anything oh right.

Yeah, no more Organization; They were utterly dismantled by the end of KH3.
27:08 "real life is fucking boring" Allow me to introduce you to Sabaton
Edit: Moana fits Kingdom Heart 4 almost too perfectly.
The Great Mouse Detective, just imagine a little mouse version of Sora running around that’s so cute ☺️
Tbh brother bear would be a good story for Roxas, sora, ventus and xion. It would be a good fit for how the four 'siblings' learn to exsist when they're all the same person
Sora hears the concept of a twin
Sora: oh so hes a nobody.
The Black Cauldron has so much potential, but even the movie couldn’t tap into it. It had such an epic setting and circumstances yet somehow was such a BORING movie. If it ever appeared in KH the KH writing team would need to pull too much extra weight to make the world compelling.
12:57 ... That one didn't age quite so well.
The moral of Encanto makes it a good place to explore the memory of Eraqus for the BBS trio and how they honor his example but process his flaws.
Damn is it depressing for me to see bolt that low since it's actually a pretty cute movie and to be frank I can see it working in one of two ways
1: sora could be asked to act in the bolt tv show and he would be helping bolt and penny but of course, after defeating a boss or something the episode would end and you would have to wait a while to continue the next episode, kinda like the 100 acre wood but with combat
2: since sora is in a "fictional" world, maybe the events of bolt's show are real in that dimension in another planet
That’s actually a nice workaround for it. It could even be a side mission in Quadratum itself.
Yeah, Pat’s editing is really on point even if it goes unnoticed a lot of the time.
Honestly, I want to see Mirabel as one of the new seven princesses. If Alice could be one, so can her.
Youve just made me retroactively sadder about ddd
I would love another "Disney Castle/Disney Town" type of world where Pacnhito and Jose or maybe even the Three Little Pigs show up! Could be a fun way to work in the characters without making it a full world. Kind of like a round up of all of the characters that would show up on the Mickey Mouse Club back in the day.
12:57 “At this point it feels more likely than a Pikmin 4.”
Greetings from the future where Pikmin 4 has been announced! So I guess that means 101 Dalmatians world confirmed
I came back to the comments just for that
the way i imagen an Encanto world
is that it is kind of a boss rush world
Sora, Donald & Goofy meet Mirabel outside of Casita, as she screams for help
Casita is being taken over by shadowy creatures, who have locked her family members up in there rooms
the trio rush inside and free Casita's main area (that big center place, without a roof) and Casita can function again, despite Heartless still showing up
but now Mirabel uses Casita to fight them, while Sora can now choose 1 of the doors to go into
inside each room, you fight a boss themed after the power of the family member (like the Bruno boss, can slow you down, or speed itself up, as well as throw sand around)
when you have freed a family member, they can be found in the main area, giving all sorts of help
some help fight against the Heartless in the main area, while others stand on the side giving tips or heals
“I’m not a big bambi guy” sounds funny when you think of bambi as a noun.
I could definitely see Sword in the Stone showing up in Missing Link as a world that isn't in the Book of Prophecies.
I would love ichabad and mr toad as npcs in twilight town or something
The a plot would be Kairi instead of Sora helping Mirabel, Antonio, and Bruno free Casita and the rest of the family from the heartless led by Maleficent, and Kairi would confide
about her usefulness to her loved ones.
12:58
Well if you want a Pikmin 4 I have good news for you
Does He Know?
I’m honestly shocked Emperor’s New Groove hasn’t been referenced at all in kh. Like, at least give us a Kronk summon or something.
40:06 Maybe Bolt just appears in Quadratum to share these themes with Sora? Doesn't have to be a world and they can still include it.
Like Remy in KH3
One counter argument I can make for Mirabel being one of the New Seven Hearts: she doesn’t get a gift because Casita knows she’ll get the power soon and any gift Casita would give would nullify her getting the power.
Pretty much she’ll be gifted by KH universe rules but not by Abuela’s understanding of the rules of Encanto.
I feel like a lot of these lend themselves much better to summons, as some of them already have been. Like, imagine if we got Bolt as a Thunder-based summon.
35:49 Have you considered that maybe you find rural North America boring BECAUSE you live there?
I didn't go into this video wanting or expecting an "Out of the Box" KH world being mentioned, but after thinking about Pete and Maleficent seeing this world and thinking, it must be the place they are seeking and getting angry at the numerous "boxes" that isn't THE box they're are looking for, it's definitely top 10 want for me :')
MORE HOUR LONG PAT CONTENT BABY LETS GOOO
I wonder if they'd ever consider representing disney shows in any future kingdom hearts game. Mainly animated shows like their Disney Afternoon lineup (like Gargoyles and Ducktales), Phineas and Ferb, American Dragon, Kim Possible, Gravity Falls, Star vs the Forces of Evil, The Owl House, Amphibia.
I think they could get really creative with many of these.
Also I'm surious on everyone's thoughts on World revisits.
I think such concepts would have ended up in either Birth by Sleep or Dream Drop Distance. (Maybe even Missing Link.)
@@dragonbornexpress5650 Speaking of Dream Drop Distance, I'm salty that they picked Mickey and The Musketeers instead of The Prince and the Pauper, a really good short.
@@lk_3099 I have no idea what you're referring to so I don't know why you're salty.
@@lk_3099 Okay? How would it have fit into DDD so well? I feel like you dodged the question to an extent...
I could see the organization or whatever the villian group in 4 is trying to kidnap Mirabelle thinking shes a princess of heart. Whatever they try with them doesnt work only for them to realize that shes not really one
To be honest, that could be a good running gag. (Akin to the whole thing with the Black Box in KH3.)
28:52 wow you just unlocked a core memory. I loved that show as a kid but i had completely forgotten about it til just now.
Bruh you literally just got my subscription this was good shit
I think Robin Hood could easily work if Sora meets back up with Donald and Goofy. The two of them already fit into the aesthetic of the world as anthro animals wearing medieval looking clothing so all they’d really need to do is turn Sora into a furry. If they do it, it’d be cool if they went back to that old concept art where Sora had a tail.
this is funny cause I had this idea of doing a video like this where I go over every Disney property to whether or not it'll be used for future kh games. but since I'm a lazy bum and never made a video your doing the concept and that's exciting lol
What about specific characters? I want Max Goof as a character in game but, not really having his own world
You know, since Quadratum is probably all connected as opposed to separate worlds, having a small area of iconic areas from films like Fox and Hound, Lady and the Tramp,101 Dalamtions, ect in Quatratum in the way Lady and the Tramp got in as a part of Traverse Town would be pretty interesting
Don't know that I'd call Robin Hood anti-capitalist. How did Prince John get all that money? 🤔 oh yeah heavy taxation.
because the only man in power hoarding the citizens money isnt capitalism 😂😂😂😂
I was expecting so much better for Black Cauldron, witches and horned king boss fights!
I want nothing more than a Coco world. The idea of traveling the land of the dead and seeing the heartless there would be so cool
That's Pixar.
What about Phineas and Ferb? That would be cool
I would love Robin Hood or Zootopia just to see the Internet descend into utter chaos when Sora gets a fursona.
Seems like a cool series! I filled out the Pixar World survey, looking forward to the results of that.
Really want to see another Lilo & Stitch world set in Hawaii
that would be great
The way the UX stuff was edited in for each time it wasn't mentioned, it makes it seem like the video is being haunted by UX.
Am I the only one who does a little jig during Pat's opening music? Just me?
shoutout to everyone throwing it tf back during the intro
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for
Kingdom Hearts 4
We know for a fact it's going to happen because fun fact Nomura fucking loves
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
Honestly I would love for him to be the series’ new big bad. I don’t know why they keep creating anime OCs when Disney has a wealth of actual villains to work with
@@Skankhunt42-502 In a KH3-era interview, Nomura revealed he asked if he could use Oswald in KH and was explicitly denied so, sadly unlikely.
Emperors New Groove where SDG meet Kronk first and team up with him thinking catching Kuzco is the right thing to do
27:17 Just imagined a Pocahontas world in Dream Drop and having the Sora and Riku sides of the world be from the perspective of the natives and colonists..😂
Unironically could see that kind of working for DDD, I think that formula of splitting a world between two guys is where the world formula peaked for me, it's just fun dividing things into dualities
I've said for years that Headless Horseman would make for a killer secret boss fight. I mean, if we can get Julius, why not?
I could 100% see Encanto being a replacement for 100 Acre Wood. A non-combat minigame and story based world
A world I have always really wanted that no one else cares about is a Rescuers Down Under world.
37:22 I was willing to give chicken little the benefit of the doubt like "Oh but that was when CG was still ugly."
But you know what came out the same year? War of the Worlds.
I could not help but laugh that the dude just wanted home on the range out like someone trying to get out a really awkward conversation.
I mean....there's probably a good reason that most people barely even know it exists.
Black Cauldron, Atlantis, and Treasure Planet are the worlds I personally would want to see the most, but I definitely agree that the chances of them getting the full world treatment might as well not exist, especially the former.
Moana certainly feels like the most likely to make it in, and is probably the best choice out of all the "most likely picks."
If New Groove got its own world, I'd be giddy.
startlight barking for kh?
some of these might be hard to work, if they did not have a "bad guy" right? Bambi besides "man". Scar was haunting Simba in "Pridelands"
Personally, I would love to have Moanna and Raya be worlds that Sora, Riku, and Kairi can explore together since they, too, are islanders. Yes, Kairi is from Radiant Garden, but she grew up mostly in Destiny Islands. It would likely not happen this way, but yeah...Just a thought I like to think about.
