There’s actually 2 Kingdom Hearts references in Dreamlight Valley, the first is the heart reflected from Minnie’s house as mentioned in the video but the second comes when having a conversation with Goofy where he talks about how the night thorns could be attracted to negative emotions which may or may not be a reference to Vanitas from KH
It's not! It's part of the main storyline (Idk how far you are in the story. I don't want to spoil anything).
I'm surprised after all of these, it wasn't mentioned how in Disneyworld/land, during Halloween time for the Oogie Boogie Bash, you can find the mascots of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy wearing their kingdom hearts outfits
dont forget toontown corporate clash where you can wear sora's halloween town outfit as a set during the halloween event
That OK KO reference goes even further with the fact they are all hanging out near a ledge like many characters in KH are seen doing while eating said ice cream!

Since you brought up the NBA, we must not forget that the Olympics set in Japan had played a lot of video game music. Kingdom Hearts was one of them, specifically the Olympus Coliseum world theme
It had 2 actually. Olympus Coliseum from KH1 and Hero's Fanfare from KH3.

It’s definitely fitting, that’s for sure. Both the Hercules/Olympus Coliseum and The Olympic Games share that IRL historical connection. Not Herc, obviously- but the games themselves.

In NEO: The World Ends With You, there is a dialogue option related to the main quest where Simple and Clean, the opening theme for KH1, is name dropped

I watched my older brother play gaia when I was a kid and could not wait until I was allowed to play. I was 9 when I started. I also loved KH, for a while I only saw it when my brothers friend brought it over. Destiny Island being swallowed up traumatized me. By the time I started on gaia I had already beaten 1 and 2. When I saw there were KH items, I knew what I had to do. For years I saved gold, I roleplayed in forums, I did gaiacash events to get whales which I would sell on the marketplace for 100,000 g each. and eventullay I had a pretty good KH2 outfit that I felt I really earned without spending any money on. Feels good.

@@Stormer224 I'm Odd Cinderella and I actually, recently, over the years spent IRL money to recolor items on Gaia so that Kingdom Hearts cosplayers had some items they can use. I recolored at least 20 Kingdom Hearts themed items and then items not direct references, but could work for cosplays. Lol.

In the song "Narcissistic Personality Disorder" by Odetari there are the lyrics "I'm heartless, I'm nobody I feel like I'm Roxas" and in the old version of the song it used direct lines from the cutscene before the fight with Xemnas, "You're not sad about anything... (etc.)"

One cool reference I found was in the mobile game Gacha Life, where you make avatars and can make little skits with them. In the game, one of the props you can have a avatar hold when customizing them is a keyblade. Its not called anything but pretty obvious to see for any Kingdom hearts fan. Hope it helps for a possible pt 3!

There are a couple of items alot of other references from enemies designs and color palettes
Anyhow those are the ones that got my attention, star fruit os an item in the game and its description is "star-shaped fruit, its origin dates back to a small island in the ocean " which i clearly the star fruit from destiny island
Second is the salty ice cream item, its an item that you can eat to boost resist against fire dmg, salty ice cream description is "best enjoyed at sunset on top a clocktower" which is obviously a reference to kingdom hearts days, there are some skills or abilities in the ice element thag has KH reference and enemies too(one is sephiroth), and the main character's name is Lea! She is a girl tho

In Hazbin Hotel, there’s a cat named Keekee that transforms into a small key to the hotel. However in the finale song, Keekee transforms into a keyblade for Lucifer to use in helping rebuild it

In the anime-style game "Grand Fantasia", there is a character class/job called "Wanderer" (to start. Different names for it as you progress). While not a melee weapon, they get a ranged weapon slot for items called "Crystal Keys". When you look at the icons for different Crystal Keys, you can clearly see they are inspired by Keyblades.
Damien Haas from Smosh can be seen in quite a few videos wearing a heartless t-shirt and I can't remeber what wrestler but a female wrestler came out with a keyblade and later used it in ring wrapped in barbed wire to hit her opponent
In the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, they play the Olympus coliseum theme from kingdom hearts one
idk if this counts but the 3rd season of the masked singer Jesse Mccartney was the turtle and in his clues there were a few kingdom hearts references as he the english voice actor for Roxas and Ventus
-He had a comic book that was labeled as the 13th volume
-In his finale clue package before the final song, he was on a chess board referencing the bracelet worn by Roxas and Ventus
-On that same chess board there was a heart with a crown on it
-There was a small extra clue that played before the commercial break for the viewers at home where him and the other 2 finalist are talking to each other he says "I will become the king of this kingdom with all my heart"
I don't remember if it was mentioned in the last video but starbucks had a sea salt frappe to promote kh3. one store at least even had someone draw an image of sora in his kh3 outfit drinking said frappe. I remember seeing the post on Pinterest years ago. love the video.

I don't remember if you already mentioned this before, but in ratchet and clank rift apart, you can get a keyblade skin for rivets hammer or ratchets wrench
11:35 That weapon camo is called lumiere fonce*, and was obtainable in the global version of pso2 for a small while trough a code, And this camo was usable on 3 weapon types Sword, Katana and soaring blades with each of them using the camo a bit differently. When used on a sword you would only wield the sword of light while the black one was on your back while if you used katana you would only wield the black one and then there was the soaring blades that uses both of them. Another thing to note about the soaring blades it that a class in base game called etoile could use them and when you paired this camo with the class you could get a look similar to one of sora's drive form from kh2.
There's a weapon in Soda Dungeon 2 called the Keybringer. Its design is very obviously a reference to the Keyblade, and it has the special trait of increasing the chance of finding keys.
Yeah, I remember mentioning last time that there was actually an episode that was a parody of kingdom hearts in Johnny test where Susan and Mary create this invention, known as the X key in order to open any lock and get anywhere. If you’re wondering why that sounds familiar it’s because the Keyblade can open any lock just like in kingdom hearts :-)

Arby’s had a great social media advertising campaign where they remade tons of different items/characters from pop culture using their packaging, not just kingdom hearts. There’re some really great ones, too
I've made perlers of all the Kingdom Hearts characters from Record Keeper, they were given away as raffle prizes at two different RPG Limit Break speedrun events
Don't know if this counts, but there are a few references in pokemon infinite fusion. The fusion of Klefki & Gallade, Klefki & Pikachu, Klefki & Jolteon, Klefki & Torterra, Klefki & Aegislash, and Klefki & Mr. mime! ( Did you notice a pattern?)
there is also a Roserade and Kirlia fusion that is just Kairi by bubbarottweiler
In the final of hazbin hotel there's a scene where Lucifer uses keke and it looks like he's using a keyblade

There's also one I know, but it's probably difficult to find. It was on German TV (ProSieben to be exact) on a series called "Galileo Big Pictures" where they showed off the most incredible things on earth. Number 1 was Life, and what music did they use? The orchestral version of Simple & Clean. Absolute genius, whoever came up with that idea...

Not sure was this mentioned but there was a disney kamen rider belt that was show case a few weeks ago. I think it was called imagination belt. And it uses key to change into different forms(although the keys r mostly gray out for coming soon in the future)
I may be overthinking it, but in FF7R, Cloud and Aerith have to fight in the Coliseum, right? I just thought to myself that they could've called it, I dunno, the "Arena" or something, and to me "Coliseum" is I'm pretty sure a nod to where Sora first meets Cloud. Maybe I got the name wrong, but I feel like this is.

I've been playing the new kickstarter edition of Dragonbane ttrpg, and just yesterday we came across a trio of NPC's prewritten into the book as a random travel encounter. A human thief (keyblade opens locks), wolfkin warrior and a mallard wizard. Not entirely sure but we had three players notice it in turn and it fits too well to be a coincidence, haha.
Sora, Riku, Kairi and Young Xehanort were in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius mobile game. I heard they will appear in War of the Visions.
I would like to add a potential reference of our wonderful Sea Salt Ice Cream coming from Sky: Children of the Light as the event currency/token for the Days of Sunlight 2023 (I don't think it's officially called as such but the shape and color are just far too perfect)

i like the references about SPECIFICALLY from KH 358-2 Days, since i fell that is the most emotionally memorable of all i see most people agreed making references to the organization, the clocktower but mainly to the sea salt ice cream, being an item that is more called on that game

Ffxiv having next to no confirmed kingdom hearts references always cracks me up considering the Ascians are literally just Organisation XIII again. All they do is brood and talk about darkness in their black cloaks.. they even have podiums to stand on in a weird void while talking. And! They always appear out of nowhere… like come on Sqenix if you’re gonna do that atleast give us a kingdom key or something

Speaking of Trove. There's also a hairstyle thats reminiscent to Roxas' hairstyle. I can't remember exactly but I think the hairstyle is called "Mega Bedhead" or something. Again, can't remember exactly.
The mobile game Twisted Wonderland (who have an anime coming soon) made many allusions to the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
- The chibi art style looks a lot of Kingdom hearts X union cross/Dark Road.
- Silver design looks a lot from Riku and his relationship with Malleus looks a lot with Maleficient during Kingdom Hearts 1.
- The diasomnia outfit have Sora's crown motif as belt buckle and Nomura design with many belts included!
- There's one throne on each dorms background even in some commercial trailer (almost) and on some cards for exemple Riddle with tsums/Vil SSR dorm/Kalim SSR dorm/Malleus SSR dorm and the most interesting is Leona Kingcholar SSR Kingly Garb with the same pose as Sora king on his throne!
- On Vil chapter 5 anime commercial trailer, we can see long infinite rond stairs, which can be an easter egg to Kingdom Hearts 2 opening scene!
- In the second halloween event (Endless Halloween Night), there's a new map with you can see world bubbles, which is a reference to Dream Drop Distance sleeping world bubbles.
- Dire Crowley, the headmaster of the school, have a mask with glowing yellow round eyes who could refer to the Heartless, he has also ton of keys on his belts and coat (behind) who can open coffins/Mirrors (not confirmed)? and walking stick who looks like a bit of keyblade!
- Talking about heartless and kinda spoilery in the game later, Blot is kinda a natural phenomenon and quite affiliated as a negative energy like the darkness in KH, when a mage use too much magic or negative energy on their magic wands he can manifest a phantom and control them. In chapter 6, Idia did some research and concluded that it wished to not have a heart because it's sensitive, also we saw a heart on his animated commercial. (it's not confirmed yet the blot/negative energy are from their heart since we saw only from their magic wands but there's chance it's coming from their hearts!)
- Riddle Rosehearts dorm uniform have heart-shaped KH logo on his boots. Also on his overblot form he has that logo but on his neck.
- A overblot monster miner have a similar outfit to the "Nosy Mole" Heartless from Kingdom hearts X!
- Can be spoilery but overblot malleus have sorta of a heartless logo on his torso.
- One of the phantom without his bottle on his head from chapter 7, looks a lot from heartless phantom boss from peter pan clock tower.

In A Hat In Time you need to find a key to open a lock but that key you can swing around and the key looks like the kingdom key (its found in Act 4 chapter 1 "Down with the Mafia!"
In the mobile game Fate/Grand Order, there's a character named Abigail Williams who uses a large key as a blade. Likely not a reference but still cool.

I don't know if it's a reference but I'll leave it here... In the game NEO TWEWY, the "Shockwave" attack is a series of quick blows, but if we are observers in the middle of the combo it makes the default combo of Sora's keyblade, a small but nice wink.
Oh I love that idea! I don't have Disney Dreamlight Valley, but it's a game I've been looking at for a while. If they put Kingdom Hearts things in it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

There’s a game called dicey dungeons and there’s an enemy in the game that uses a key blade it’s a definite KH reference check it out it’s a great game!
one think I like about kingdom heart's that I think about every now and then, is the inclusion of the sea-salt ice cream. Quite a few of the games have a theme of memory loss and Ice cream is good for people with dementia, bringing them back to a happy memory usually. Not sure if it's intentional but it's a cool little thing I think about sometimes.

In gravity falls s2 e10 one of the main characters Mabel wears a headdress with a heart similar to the kingdom hearts logo (show on Disney+) I don’t know if this was intentional but it looks the same
Also in it takes two in one of the levels you can see a statue with a sword but it has a key on the end a literal KEY blade 💀
