Fantastic!!! I have a brand new Imperial. I’m so excited now that I have so much info to care for it! It is already in the ground about a month with a small trellis behind it. Should I disturb the soil around the root ball to throw in some of the additives you recommend? Thank you so much!!!
Hi! Please leave your beautiful bougainvillea as-is for a month. She needs time to acclimate. Then you can add some additives( fertilizer) but be gentle the first year, they need to get used to your soil/sun location.😀🪴
Hello from the Wild West of dry/hot Texas. I rescued a B. Karst from a Big Box store last year and placed her in a Ceramic pot. Brought her in for the winter and she’s been quite happy. Now here’s my quandary, the latest Bougies are being brought in from Mexico. I’ve purchased from 2 separate nurseries and all of the Bougies are coming in with this strange peat moss mix that is stuck to the root ball and when dry it literally pulls apart like dry cotton. It’s horrible stuff, almost like the plugs I’ve removed from some of my exotic indoor plants. I wish I had the exact name of the medium being used. I am literally having to water every day and sometimes twice a day because of this junk. Thankfully I’m not scared to do a full root ball rehab with the soil ratio you listed here. Wish me luck and for any advice on what’s being used, please by all means chime in.
Hi. I wish. My sisters husband designed it himself. Such a talent. I helped a little with the design layout and coconut palm @ pool planter, but credit is his😀🪴
MISS BONNY’S DRANK 🤪 In an ice filled shaker pour 3 - 4 OZ vodka 1.5 Cointreau or Grand Mariner 1 OZ cranberry cocktail 1.5 OZ freshly squeezed lime juice Hand the shaker to one of those energetic children for vigorous shaking Pour into chilled glass CHEERS!!!
I want to dip my toes into growing Bougainvillea. The Juanita Hatton (?sp) seems right for me. Video was extremely helpful-thank you. I was leaning BKarst but don’t want the size. I hope they will grow in our newly designated 9b.
@@LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN I ended up up with 2 BKarst’s-yikes. 17”clay pot-using an ‘ups-a daisy’ lifter plus rocks to assure good drainage, organic citrus/cactus mix, bone meal, BGI Bougainfertilizer, a little ‘black kow’, Bio Tone starter w/mycorrhizae, systemic pest and fungus control added to soil, with a trellis inserted. Now all I think I can add is 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 and water.
Beautiful bougainvilleas. We had lots of different varieties in the Philippines.
How awesome, they must have been spectacular!😀🪴

Bonnie's yard looks beautiful. Did you plant and design it?

No cap lol
If you really take care of them, they can become full trees.
True i love them as small trees! I have found that the J'ames Wakler' and 'Barabara Karst 'varieties make for great small trees.😀 🪴

Glad it was helpful! Should be ok in in 9b, and I hope you Juanita Bouganivillea flourishes with flowers for you! 😀🪴
