I had this same variety planted on ground. Unfortunately the mussaenda next to it grew bigger preventing it from getting enough sunlight. I had to finally pull it out from the ground . While doing so i broke its root. Then i repotted it. Soon after it showed signs of demise leaves started drying. What i did was i pruned all the leaves that were drying and kept the plant in heavy rains that followed. After a week to my surprise new leaves started coming.. So from my experience i just wana convey that give bougainvillea some time, it may come back to life.
I always appreciate your honesty.. another informative video..i really like very much boganvilla's varieties.. thanks to support me time to time whenever i need ur help...amazing person you are USB..🙏
What helpful tips about repotting! I didn't realize that I needed to acclimate my bougainvillea, so I'm being sure to do that in the Las Vegas sun/heat I now live in. I wish I had listened to this before repotting my lavender midday (without acclimating first). Hope it survives too! Lovely video!💕🙏
I got a bougainvilla in clay soil grow bag. Clay soil becomes solid so i thought better to loosen it an release base roots . While loosening in water Minor roots got damaged and one long root got somewhat severed a bit not fully so i just packed it in the clay soil and repotted it. Do u think it will die? Was it safe to repot as it is because the rootball looked rock solid?
@@Urbanscapegardeningthx buddy. So what do u advise when plant comes in a grow bag in hard clay soil. Next one on its way No need to expose base roots? How will the compactness go if i repot as it is ? Outer soil may nit dry so fast but clay which i wont be able to see may dry out I am in the north

Will that bougainvillea plant be in that pot for years or will it be repotted again? Will the plant size remain dwarfed since its roots will be confined to a pot? Please let me know. Thank you, great video.
but when i repot my plant in same way as you have shown, without loosing roots they started shading leaves after 3-4 days and became dead after 1 month

Hi Urban Scape Bangalore; Need advice. I have a very root bound bougainvillea. I repotted her a year ago in a bigger pot but even after a year the roots still maintains that root bound shape. There is plenty of room for them to grow out into the new soil but the roots are not responding. What to do in this case?

Root disturbance can affect the plant especially main roots. Small roots are ok but give it a shot nonetheless no harm

Ceramic pot will do? And what size of pot?

@@sujatarai9402 you can wait it out and see if your plant is ok...add compost etc...don't over water... don't shift...and you could see if it works
