Hi Im in Europe...Spain where we grow a lot of Bougainvillea. I have maybe 5 in my garden some as tall as my 2 story villa... Firstly and possibly the most important thing to know...Bouganvillas hate growing in pots... IF you have too... they need to be in Really Big Pots and... the Second thing that is essential to know, Bougainvillea's hate sun on their roots...which is another reason they don't grow well in Pots...Keep their roots cool...( mediterranean cool OK) try planting Bougainvillea close to... but not right up to...a wall ( ideally around 2 meters ) with the plants root in the shade but then allow the top of the plant in the sun. I've seen Bougainvilleas bloom twice a year...masses of flower growth ( actually what we call flowers are in fact bracts ...the actual flower is almost insignificant its the Bracts which make the amazing colour show....Anyway...the important thing is...Where possible they grown best in the ground rather than pots but ...always keep the roots of the plant in the shade and allow the plant to grow up into the sun.
great information have tried this on one plant and already getting great results and doing this on the remaining varieties of the Boughanvilla : i added a teaspoon of mustard oil since could not get the cake freely and that too worked very well THANKS A TON
I’ve been growing a bougainvillea in a clay pot for several years now in Canada. I have it in a south facing window, fertilized with miracle grow and it blooms beautifully!
For those asking about mustard cake... Its residue of mustard seeds when oil is prepared from seeds. The residual is saved for other plants which is called mustard cake.
Liked the video. The only problem is I cannot understand any of the ingredient names. Could you put the names on the screen? If so your video would be greatly improved and understandable.
@garden ideas. You should have listed the fertirlizer ingredients on the screen so that we can purchase these items..... your accent this "THICK" hard to understand clearly the ingredients. THANKS
The fertilizer used here are dried cowdung, the residue of mustard seeds after oil extraction and tea leaves. remember that cowdung can only be used after it is fully dried.
@@wadsonbanda915 cinnamon is the most effective for growing roots, so I’d suggest using cinnamon along with either honey or aloe. Not all three at once. I think honey would be better if you’re propagating in water. And aloe would be better when propagating in soil.
@@wadsonbanda915 I don’t think it would turn out too well if you plant it in compost before it develops roots. (It might though) So move to compost after it starts rooting and shooting
needs 6 hours exposure to sunlight everyday. so under the sun all the time. water it also with your urine , add water 1=1 ratio. provided you are not taking medicines or alcohol plus fresh eggs
