  • One of Angelo Petitti's favorites, Bougainvillea is a gorgeous plant that produces brilliantly neon bracts in shades of vibrant magenta, orange amber, or blush white, much to the delight of butterflies & hummingbirds! Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist, and Education Manager with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about growing Bougainvillea. Bonus? This fantastic tropical plant can be grown outdoors in our Northeast Ohio Summers and transitioned indoors as a houseplant through the winter months! Here at Petitti's, we grow three colors, 'Vera Deep Purple', 'Vera Fire Opal', and 'Vera White'

I bought one and during the winter all the leaves fell off but i kept watering and trimming it. Here I am in spring, and it came back to life! Thank you for the tips!

Very beautiful bougainvillea that would dress up a patio or fun to add color to a spot indoors. Thanks for all of your suggestions Noelle about how to grow and care for the tropical beauty!

I bought a branch at a green house in May I think. All the brachs fell off but we had a lot of rain. The plant is growing very well. But, here it is almost July and still no brachs or flowers. I use expert fertilizer about once a week. Do I need a flowering fertilizer ?

You might be fertilizing to often? Mine is in pretty bad soil and it's only recieved water its been coming back for the last few weeks. I should feed soon I know it will help. Once a week might be a bit much not sure

Fertiliser promotes green growth not the the bracts and flowers. Only water when it’s bone dry an inch deep and fertilise about once a month if even. Harsh environment promotes it to bloom. Don’t love it too much ❤
