Cleaning the sidings using my railcar with a Jouef locomotive chassis with brass wheels. #train #railway #modeltrains #railroad #modelrailroad #hoscale #locomotive #jouef #brass #trackcleaning
That's a great tip. I have a Jouef/Playcraft North British shunter with brass wheels - I'll give that a try. This shunter has a clear plastic motor - I call it a 'rattle can' as it sounds like an aerosol paint can being shaken while it zooms around the layout!
I have a few Playcraft North British 0-4-0 diesel shunters, an early one with both axles driven, one converted to Hornby Zero One 1st generation DCC & Jouef Triang coupling conversion kit and one that has a replacement Keyser motor, Romford wheels & worm gears plus an inside frame chassis. They do require constant wheel cleaning. Adding a lot of weight improves track power pick up, as they are too light.
Lovely railcar Patrick 👍🏼👍🏼
Really looking the part.
And great advice too.
Hopefully all goes well for the next videos!
Great video 👍

Roco do a waggon with a track rubber attached underneath, I use one on my lay-out, and they seem OK, Although you need a good heavy loco to pull it.

@@CZ350tuner Yes I need to add more weight to mine as it has very limited pulling power.
