Excellent restoration and I would say it is quite elegant, as black and silver go very well together (and they are colours, if I am not wrong also allowed in heraldry). Thanks for the video, Paul, wish you a great new week! :)
Hi Chris, thanks for the very nice comments. I am pleased how this project turned out. The origional 10000 Loco was finished in gloss black and silver in 1947 which was unique for its time and as far as I know never repeated. Have a great week and thanks for all your support. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏.
Hi Erik, it took a lot of time for each paint coat to dry and setting out the stripes and detailing. I am very happy how it turned out and it runs quite well. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul. Lovely job buddy. You have a lot of patience. Black is my favourite colour. Looks great running round your brilliant layout. Thanks for sharing Paul. Thumbs up thumped 👍 .... Pete....
Hi Pete, thanks so much for watching and the kind comments. I took my time allowing each paint coat to dry for more than 24hrs. The hardest part was applying the decals as they are stainless and very hard to trim and glue to the body. This LMS 10000 was finished in gloss black when built in 1947 and looked amazing with its aluminium and chrome roof and stripes. Black is one of my favourite colours as well, this is only the second Diesel Loco I have in this livery (one more to follow). All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
Very nice job Paul. The extra little details make it look really impressive. Considering the prototype led the transition from steam to diesel but wasn't preserved, having good models is important. All you need now is a Derby Works build plate and a glass case to display it in. I think Ivatt would have been impressed. Steven.
Hi Steven, some of the detailing was tricky to apply especially the decals. Ivatt made plans for building it in 1944, considering it was completed in 1947 was an amazing achievment. There is a group of people currently building a Class 10000 lookalike so should be awesome when finished. I am pleased how mine turned out and surprised how well it runs. Its good to have a model of the UKs first mainline Diesel in my collection. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul, what an amazing job. It's great to see it finished, enjoying the videos 🚂🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃
Hi Windy, I am very happy how it turned out, couldnt have done it without my Nephews help.

Nice finish to a great project! Looks a treat and ran nicely! Well done, Paul!
Hi Anthony, thanks for the kind comments. I am pleased how it turned out. It will be a nice addition to my Diesel collection.
All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
