I haven't looked at the video yet. I just realized how happy I feel when I see your smiling face, I guess like a kid seeing their mom after a break. I am so glad you are back and grateful that you decided to carry on with us in public. You were the first homestead channel I followed and the first time I saw a mom being good, loving, kind, and compassionate toward their kids. It was healing to me in many ways. Thank you for being so vulnerable.
I rinsed the egg shells and let them dry on their own then blended them into powder to put calcium in the soil. Also let banana peel dehydrated, turn it into powder for potassium in the soil.

I was raised in a house where you had a choice of toast or cold cereal and you only got eggs and burnt bacon on Sundays. I was 20 when i ate my first cooked mushroom i had never tasted anything so good. Your kids will remember you taking the time to teach them how to cook. Your young helper using the grater and actually watching his fingers was beyond cute. And introducing your kids to a variety of foods such as kale abd peppers.

On and off, ive had more or less rigid meal plans. One of those times, I had great dinner meals planned with left over utilization but mornings were a chaotic mess with multiple people rushing off feeling less than calm. I switched things up and put an emphasis on breakfasts and getting dinner items out of the freezer on time; if things were thawed, I could throw together a dinner we were eating before 6PM to 7PM. That gave me "permission" to spend another era concentrating on lunches including cooking and prepping for lunches and often eating left overs for dinners.

Try putting a fairly wet cloth or paper towel at the edge of the chopping board closest to you when chopping onions. It's a game changer!

Breaking it down exactly how you did was so helpful to see exactly what's going into a day like this And I like that you did a more manageable sized amount of big batch cooking it was nice to see you update us on the clock and see this from a solo mom without a sitter. I mean when I see batch cooking and the husband helps maybe with the chopping but especially with putting kids down for bed I always love dads being in kids lives but lots of us have to get done what needs done without that I am single but even many of my married friends there husbands are not home enough to be like you spend all day with the kids and I will cook for 12 hours. I look forward to your baking day

Your the best, Bri! I love watching and you have to keep it real - and that’s o.k. - because you have 7 kids!😘 Job well done! I think I’m going to make some Granola, healthier than store bought. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Your kids are beautiful, I hope they enjoy their new neighbourhood. ❤️🇨🇦

I find using a French fry cutter and then cutting the sticks into squares saves cutting time and also results in nice square bits for pan fry’s.
