I think it would be cool if you could like do a segment like thrifted transformations but like you use a celebrity outfit for inspiration and then you find the clothing at thrift stores and turn them into oufits of pieces inspired by the celebrity's outfit. I think it would be really cool
I've been wanting a pair of boyfriend jeans but did not want to pay $80 for them. I love how mine turned out and it only cost me $5 :D Hope some of you found this video helpful and thank you for watching
coolirpa Great jeans April! I love creating and recycling so much! I want to show that love doing vids too even tho I am starting without having a great camera! Love to do more, hope you have a look!!
coolirpa Hi April please make more DIY videos! (no pressure:) You are so inspiring and I really enjoy all your videos :) I have a little tip you might try out for "fake" tear = sandpaper and pebbles! ( you take a handful of pebbles in one hand, hold it under the area you want the tear on your fabric and rub the sandpaper in circles on top of the fabric and voila!) Miauw and hugs :)
+coolirpa any idea how to transform a pink jean i love it and buy it expensive but it's loose on me idk how i bough cloth and when m trying at home it just goes so tight or loose :(
I've been watching your channel for a while now and I wish you the best, you don't realise but as a college student studying fashion your videos have helped so much with my work, thank you x
wow. I am studying fashion design right now and I think you are the only one I have found doing transformations correctly! God you are amazing. new subscriber here. trust me, my friends would know you soon! anyways, from Singapore!
I did this a couple months ago and it took FOREVER but SO worth it. You should also try using a paint brush w a little bleach around the holes to make it look more distressed!
Omg this is the best ripping jeans tutorial I have ever seen, seriously my jeans that I diy'd myself from another video, look way better now following your instructions
I love all of your videos! They are so helpful and have helped make my dream of making my own clothes come to life. I was able to inspire some friends last year to learn to sew, and with the help of some of your videos we put on a charity fashion show at school! You're awesome! 💞
That is incredible! I never knew how jeans became distressed, I knew you pulled at the threads but that is such a cool trick! I might be able to save one of my pairs that was ruined by grass stains! Thanks!
I have alway's gone to the thrift store and made my own distressed jeans but never knew that pulling out the little thread thing's one by one was the key!!! Thanks!
I just found your channel and I absolutely love it! you definitely know what you're doing and your ideas are really cool and videos easy to follow. Thank you!!
Amazing transformation as always!! April you should make a video on tips & tricks for thrift shopping! It always seems to be when I go thrifting I cannot find any jeans that can fit me well, any tips?
Yay!! I've been wanting boyfriend jeans, but they are so pricey, can't wait ro try this. Thanks for all little tipa. I have been making shorts out of mom jeans, and making holes and I had no idea how to not make it sqaure!!
i had a loose fitting mom style jeans that i found for a dollar( no kidding!) that i wanted to make into a bf style too but since im lousy in this kinda stuff i just cut em into shorts. -.- hats off to your talent.
If you don't want to spend a ton of time making the holes I've found that if you cut lots of slits close together in the shape you want and putting it through the wash once or twice gives you a similar result
This is great, I've been wondering for a while how to distress my own jeans. If only I could get a sewing machine I'd be in business. Hand sewing takes forever.
Mary Claire Feimster it is easy when u learn girl trust me!!! Don't do this version like instead of seeing literally u can just leave them baggy but crop them
Have you tried using safety pins instead of straight pins to mark your new seams? It makes it less dangerous to get out of the clothes after being altered.
Great video! Quick question though - when taking in a pair of trousers or jeans like you did in the video, is it better to take them in from the outside of the jean leg or the inside leg?? I've always taken them in from the inside, but you did the opposite in the video. Thanks! :)
Good question, it really just depends on where that seam is. Sometimes the thick topstitched seam is on the outside, and sometimes it's on the inside. You don't want to take it in from the side with the bulky seam because the signature denim top stitching will disappear, and it will be hard blend the new side seam in when you sew. Hope that makes sense 😅
Can u show us how to up cycle rompers? The shorts of the romper ripped and I might be able to fix it but just in case I was trying to find a video on how to save some of it :)
Thank you so much for this! I've always wanted to own ripped jeans but not only can I have them, it's completely free!! just gonna grab ma tweezers and tweeze my old jeans af lol
I've seen jeans with denim behind the distress to make them school-friendly, and thought quilting squares would be a good way to add some personal touch to the jeans
this is so freakin cute!! can you do a tutorial on revamping old jeans that don't fit? I grew two dress sizes, and can't get people to buy my old jeans. I rather revamp them up instead of just giving them away
I'm trying to taper jeans and I'm having this issue with a weird bump just below the hip where I begin the taper. Any pointers as to how to get rid of it?
When I was in my grunge phase I used to make the distress by taking a coarse nail file and filing the top layer of the jean, I got the same result but it was much easier
I think it would be cool if you could like do a segment like thrifted transformations but like you use a celebrity outfit for inspiration and then you find the clothing at thrift stores and turn them into oufits of pieces inspired by the celebrity's outfit. I think it would be really cool
that's a cool idea

Yeah! This was my first time distressing jeans like this and I didn't like how the square holes looked. I'm happy my tips could help 😁❤️
making the distressed holes NEVER turns out the way I want it :( it always looks like cow spots
A lot of people probably feel the same way. I actually didn't like how mine turned out either but it grew on me lol 😝
BreathInBritt try using a eyebrow razor
Wow these turned out great! They actually look store bought!
I love your transformations! It's perfect. Could you make a tutorial of how to turn baggy jeans to skinny jeans? ♡
I'm so happy I found this channel.
I used your tips about distressing the jeans and it turned out Great!!!
i had a loose fitting mom style jeans that i found for a dollar( no kidding!) that i wanted to make into a bf style too but since im lousy in this kinda stuff i just cut em into shorts. -.- hats off to your talent.

Awesome, I remember wearing baggy jeans when I was in high school lol
So in love with this channel!
I have the perfect thrifted jeans for this!!! YAY thanks for the tutorial!!
Have you tried using safety pins instead of straight pins to mark your new seams? It makes it less dangerous to get out of the clothes after being altered.
You can use sandpaper to get the distress it works just as well
This is really nice. I always wanted one too. Maybe I'll to make this.
Great video! Quick question though - when taking in a pair of trousers or jeans like you did in the video, is it better to take them in from the outside of the jean leg or the inside leg?? I've always taken them in from the inside, but you did the opposite in the video.

Thank you so much for this! I've always wanted to own ripped jeans but not only can I have them, it's completely free!! just gonna grab ma tweezers and tweeze my old jeans af lol
Amazing! You are so talented!
if you were going to put patches behind the distress, would you put the patches on after marking the spots, or after making the distress?
I've seen jeans with denim behind the distress to make them school-friendly, and thought quilting squares would be a good way to add some personal touch to the jeans
I actually blindly bought some Bf jeans that ended up not fitting! Now I know what to do! 😍😍
YES this is just what I needed to see 😊👏🏽❤️

I love your videos! So informative and creative! :)
Thank you 😁
Did you use a special needle to sew the jeans? And what kind of stitching did you use?
I LOVE these!😍😍😍😍😍😍fantastic tutorial April
Thanks love ❤️❤️❤️
:*
Hey April! Any ideas what to do with jeans whose holes have gotten too big (all the threads broke)? Patching can look so...dowdy imho
Do the jeans have to have elastine in them or can I just use regular jeans that don't stretch?
This looks super tedious but definitely gonna try it when I have the time. :)
wow it turns out really great!
yesss ive been looking for a good diy boyfriend jeans
Very helpful, loved this video I'm subscribing
Can you dose these kind of transformations with out a sewing machine?
I love these videos! Definitely going to try this one out :)
Do you sell any of your clothes you are amazing? I would so buy these from you x
try using sandpaper for the distress look. it will save you hours of time :)
this is so freakin cute!! can you do a tutorial on revamping old jeans that don't fit? I grew two dress sizes, and can't get people to buy my old jeans. I rather revamp them up instead of just giving them away
Which one of your sewing machines is best for jeans??? I need a good one that can sew jeans
LOVE IT 😍NEED TO MAKE ONE THIS SUMMER
I love this transformation!
I know I'm late but once you cut the bottom of the jeans won't the thread become loose because it Isn't tied anymore?
What type of pants are those previously before she transformed them
I'm trying to taper jeans and I'm having this issue with a weird bump just below the hip where I begin the taper. Any pointers as to how to get rid of it?
would you have a video on how to change pants from size 44 to a 36 ?
When I was in my grunge phase I used to make the distress by taking a coarse nail file and filing the top layer of the jean, I got the same result but it was much easier
