I've never really wanted kids, but when I see this adorable princess I just can't help but thinking it would be nice. She's all smiles, how adorable! Also, that coat suits her perfectly, such a great idea you had there.
Omg I've been wanting to make something for my niece who is the same size...this is so perfect! I can't wait to do this, I'm so excited. Your little cousin is soooo cute, I just about died at the end. Thank you for your awesome videos.
Oh my goodness... your cousin is the absolute cutest kid I've ever seen!! This is definitely my favorite piece you've made for her, the baby blue dress was beautiful too. I always enjoy seeing little children wear miniature versions of high fashion trends. Awesome job, can't wait to see you hit 1 million!! xoxox
Omg! Harper is just precious... Great job, hope you find a kilt with enough fabric for yourself, please do an April and Harper matching holiday outfit!
What an adorable outfit. .. I have been sewing for ever... I am a great grandmother..... I have used wrapping paper to draw patterns on I days past..brought back memories of patterns...continue your wonderful work...glad to see young women being so creative...
April, once again you did it!! I absolutely love the cape! Harper is the most adorable little sweetie and sssssooooo cute. No doubt, your million sub's are definitely on the way. I am a sewer and a crafter also. I think it's great that people who don't even have an interest in sewing are drawn to watching your videos! Thank you for inspiring us and for sharing your gift and talent!!
Your little cousin looks so adorable. It makes me think about how my mom and grandmother used to all of my clothes especially since I had crazy body proportions making me hard to fit. Plus with them making my clothes for me it meant so much more than the store-bought.
Congrats on being so close to 1 million subscribers, April! Hope you reach your goal. :) That coat is so cute and so is she! Hopefully you find the material you need to make your own too!
I've been drawing up plans to make a cape for myself too! but i'm stuck on what kind of cape i'd prefer :3 like to hood it or no hood... that is the question! trying to get kids to stand still is the cutest thing xD hahaha
This one was so very special and what a tedious task with a pattern. It turned out beautifully and the collar is so fun. The sweet little lady is the cutest ever...I mean really! 🤗🤗🤗🌻🌻
She is too freaking cute and the cape coat is just amazing. She could have even worn it for Halloween and been baby Sherlock. Gah, so precious. :) Thanks for sharing.
The adorable tiny huham you have is adorable and was born a model. She's gorgeous and looks absolutely amazing in the little cape you made. She looks like a baby wizard xx
you need to do a channel making clothes for Harper called "sewing up with Harper" or "growing up with Harper". that would be so cute. BTW she is a wonderful little model.
Hi there, amazing transformation! Your cousin looks adorable in it! About the transformations I'd love to see fall and winter things. Your looks are always on point but where I live I can't even wear them on summer. A round of aplauses for you, you rock that swewing!
YOU ARE GENIUS⭐️And Harper is a future model, she is absolutely the cutest little girl I've ever seen, I've watched the end of the video 3 times just to look at her, the cutest💖💖🌺
It looks like you didn't have enough fabric to try to match the plaid on the left and right front pieces, which is a bummer. This plaid has a large repeat. If anyone makes this from scratch or with more fabric, matching the plaid on the front pieces is a really good idea.
If you have enough fabric, I would at least try to match the horizontal motifs (the horizontal stripes in the plaid or other pattern motifs like large flowers) so that it appears to continue smoothly across the front. The front is what people see first and notice the most. Matching the pattern at side seams is also desirable if possible. I also try to match the pattern on patch pockets , such as shirt pockets, so that they kind of meld into the bodice. When buying ready made clothes, it's often the mark of a well made piece when the pattern is matched perfectly at the seams. The larger the repeat, the more extra fabric you might need to match it, but large repeats are also the most noticeable when they are not aligned. If it's a really small pattern like gingham, you don't need to worry so much, because at a distance it looks more like a texture and you can't even see the checks.
Well matched patterns can make a garment look more high end just like good finishing on the inside, etc. French seams, full linings, perfectly fitted to YOUR body instead of an 'average' body. Almost no ready made garments have the high quality details anymore (especially not garments in my price range), so when I make things I like to put those in.
omg, I can't, she is soo adorable, like she's up there with kittens. I don't even think my baby niece was as cute as that & she's family. And she totally loves it!
I honestly have no sewing skills but I watch a lot of your videos because I genuinely think what you do is amazing! And now I’m thinking of making the same thing for my niece
This is so cute! Could you possibly do a tutorial for a full length, winter friendly skirt? I love wearing skirts but it's impossible to find any for winter months over here.
Just wanted to note that what you started with was a plaid wrap skirt (not a kilt) my mom had a similar skirt in the 90s. My hubby has a kilt though :) But anyway, the cape turned out super adorable! I love this series and always look forward to new videos!
too bad I am already subscribed for a Long time but I wil try to promote you to get 1 million! your channel is so awesome! I get so many ideas from you. downloads many many Picture to recreate what you Made. you totally deserve 1.000.000 !!!
Nice Idea! However I think personally I would have just done it with one complete frontpiece and one complete backpiece, instead of using 4 pieces in the front and 3 in the back. Your way the pattern doesn't match up, which would have bothered me, but it looks beautiful on that child :) And man that little lady is sooo adorable :D
I agree. It´s hard to work with patterned fabrics, especially if you don´t have much. In this cape, I actually quite like that the "sleeves" are angled differently, and it doesn´t bother me too much that the fabric doesn´t match exactly because it´s evident only if you look closely. The middle part in the back however bothers me, because it´s crooked and doesn´t look right, even if you don´t look closely. In addition to the optical problem, I can imagine that the back pulls weirdly because the fabric isn´t set in right. For this kids´ coat it might not matter much, but if it had been a woman´s garment, the higher weight alone would likely have caused it to drag to one side instead of hanging straight.
Omg right when I saw that thumbnail I had to click right away, she is so freakin adorable in that cape 😭😭💛
There She Goes I know she is so CUTE
Damn she is so freaking CUTE!! I always wanted a coat like this and I think I'm going to make one for myself now! Looks so good!

I really liked the "slash and spread method" tip! I would love to see more dressmaking/drafting tips like this. Harper is gorgeous.

lestrange is it more common, unless preferred otherwise, to match the pattern perfectly when it comes to patterned clothes?

+Michelle Miyazato yeah why would you not if you had enough fabric?

I am planning to make a skirt and vest that plaid any hints to make them . having best matching up them plaid pattern
That is one of the most adorable babies I've ever seen, and a true pro at modelling.
she looks so ADORABLE! !
omg, I can't, she is soo adorable, like she's up there with kittens. I don't even think my baby niece was as cute as that & she's family. And she totally loves it!

Could you possibly do a tutorial for a full length, winter friendly skirt? I love wearing skirts but it's impossible to find any for winter months over here.
Cape is adorable, model is too! I think she's got that model thing going on!
I couldn't even look at the coat she is to freaking cute
She is so adorable in that cute little cape, one of your best April.
It would be cool if you included how long each of your projects take.
Meghan Hirsh Well she is recording so it will take way longer for her bc she has to pick up and move cameras all the time.
Meghan Hirsh She answered that question on her Snapchat :) she said about 5 days for shopping, sewing, photo shoot and editing altogether
What a beautiful cape and what an adorable child. Love your videos. You are super talented and intelligent.
the final result is SO CUTE!!!
That runway twirl! 😍😊 She is such an adorable lil fashion model. The cape is so pretty 😊
i made one for my cat... mostly because i don't have any little nieces, and also because its never cold where i live... :(
Lambpika aww
I don't know what's cuter... the cape or your baby cousin!! Adorable!!
MSP Elastic Heart 579 no actually I'M cuter
Just wanted to note that what you started with was a plaid wrap skirt (not a kilt) my mom had a similar skirt in the 90s. My hubby has a kilt though :) But anyway, the cape turned out super adorable! I love this series and always look forward to new videos!

She is soooo cute!!! Nice cape coat, love this transformation. :)
She is so incredibly adorable and the cape is absolutely beautiful. Well done!
She is the cutest 😭
You are so creative!! She is adorable in her little cape and her hat looks perfect with it.
Stunning! I'd love to make one for my little girl, but I doubt I'll find a kilt anywhere...
Anne-Catherine Mulhern an old-fashioned coat or thick plaid fabric would work just as well i think.
Anne-Catherine Mulhern goodwill or thrift stores! I see them all the time!
It is actually just a plaid wrap skirt not a kilt.
Omg too much cuteness! The camera loves her. Coat turned out sooo nice! Love love it!
I need a Harper in my life
That little girl is PRECIOUS! The coat is fantastic.
too bad I am already subscribed for a Long time but I wil try to promote you to get 1 million! your channel is so awesome! I get so many ideas from you. downloads many many Picture to recreate what you Made. you totally deserve 1.000.000 !!!

Wow. Harper is a perfect model ... So good at showing off clothes. The cape is adorable too!
