I'm just "yumming up" these older ThriftTrans-es … O.M.Goddess! I'd forgotten how hot (& cool) you make a cape blazer look. If only I'd had Thrifted Transformations back when I was a Secretary - I would've blown them all away! Thanks again for yet another great vid.
Ohhhh wowww she is real talented. People who have sense of real fashion and styles will always know what best to wear or transform into it. She should have her own brand and trademark. You go girl!
I am so obsessed with your channel right now. You are amazingly talented! I'm still a baby beginner, but I hope I can get on your level with practice. One day. Haha!
I'm a professional seamstress and a Clothing and Textile Technology student and I've been watching your videos for a while. They're the bomb!!! Keep em coming! I especially love this one!
I've never sewn in my life but you inspire me to try. I struggle so much finding clothes that I not only love but that also fit, that don't cost me a fortune.
you are so pretty April and I always look forward to watching your videos. I am 13 years of age and you inspire me to go bold and beyond thanks for the videos. congrats on 10,000 in advance
Your cape blazer looks awesome, I have had an large old blazer in the bottom of my closet for 2 years that I have been wanting to make a cape coat out of. I am still a beginner sewer but maybe your video will now inspire me to finally do it!
Omg, I thought I would try this for sure until I saw you actually do it. It’s the lining that will throw me off. I will keep this one in the archives for later! You got SKILLS!
This is by far one of the best caped blazer tutorials on RUclips! I always felt like the other ones weren't as fitting or properly porportionated but by using the endemble rather than just the top makes for a great fit!
It's been raining the past couple of days where I live. Not enjoying it. However, so glad and always looking forward to your videos! Such creative ideas...
At first; THANK YOU for wearing just that choker !! I found a piece of rhinestones linked together just like that and now I know what to do with iiiiittt !! *excited* And also I love this tutorial. I bought a blazer I used once and that's it. I'm soo gonna do this but I think I need to watch this again a few times so I won't mess up 😇
I've asked for a sewing machine for Christmas because I'm so impressed and inspired by your videos! I hope you get to 1 million soon because you deserve it!
You can get inexpensive feet individually or in basic sets from Amazon or Ebay. Most of my feet were $1 with free shipping, and I bought 1 set that was only $11. I'm down to needing specialty {aka wish list} feet like beading and sequins. I figure it will be around $15 for those, but I'm pacing myself as a reward for completing the projects I already have going. The only one I don't think you should cheap-out on is the walking foot as one that is poorly made can damage the machine, so that will be a big reward for around $25. For now, my knit foot works fine. THANK YOU FOR THE INCENTIVE to get my projects done, you always inspire me to work harder and be more creative. :)
Your talent is absolutely incredible! There's no doubt in my mind that your future in the fashion industry is bright and successful. I know you will make it to the top. 👏
I was actually just looking up patterns and what not to make an Inverness Cape like this (but longer) and having trouble finding any, this made the 'how the heck do I draft a pattern for this' part of my sewing madness so much simpler! What luck, Thank you!
great idea it came out amazing. I tried to turn a boyfriend style blazer into a cape blazer but it wasn't working out. I never thought to use a suit. Its genius I need to go thrifting. you are so inspiring I love sewing and reconstructing my clothes.
I honestly adore this transformation and pretty much all of your others, ive been spamming this channel so much recently its all i watch at work between calls haha keep it up we love you!!
lovely transformation as always, Savers stores rule. We have two or three in South Australia and they always have good stuff. Even brand new unsold inventory from boutiques :)
Those boots are really cool but i think (personally), it would look even better with a pair of stilettos :). I really love your transformations, you really are someone to look up to, such creativity and fashion sense...
By far this is my favorite transformation since I work in an office setting. Its so hard to find a suit set , I'm really new to using the sewing machine, but I'm definately up for the challenge.
April you're so talented i love watching your videos. I've been following you since you started and you have never disappointed me with your designs and ideas. love you ❤
I really would like for you to discuss the fiber you are working with and discuss pressing. How you got the look you ended with is due, to some degree to the fiber and your pressing
Hey! I recognize that place! You're a local San Diegan! That's so awesome! :) I just recently started watching your channel and I absolutely love all of your transformations. Can't stop watching them!
I liked the way you styled your transformation. Super jealous about the fact that it isn't below 'freeze my butt off' over in Cali like it is in Chicago because you're casually walking around with your legs out! But anyway, nice video!
I don't understand half of what you do in these videos, but I love watching them.
sammy linarez same! I don't even understand the terms she uses but it's fascinating to watch!
lol ikr
sammy linarez me tooo :/
I actually don't understand what she's saying, because I hate sewing, but I love her vids so much😂😂
sammy linarez 👍🏻 yep it helps me to get through the night
That suit when from looking like a depressed NYC social worker in 1997 to a New York Fashion Week centerpiece.
Absolutely! So inventive & cool!
YOU SHOULD MAKE A MYSTERY SERIES WHEN YOU RECIEVE RANDOM CLOTHES FROM SOMEONE AND TRANSFORM THEM !
MiyuMayu she did
which episode?

Thank you ! I can finally transform my mother's old blazers into something great !
TaySimone I CANT WAIT TILL YOU REACH 1MILLION SUBSCRIBES I'll be so happy for you I love all of your transportations
Her transportation sure looks cool.
LoserlyCool 😂😂😂

please go on project runway 😩😩😩
Melanie Castro I keep telling the same thing!
Only problem is that she says her transformations can take weeks, and Project Runway gives you a couple days...
+Khzunara true
Khzunara but that could be due to stuff like LIFE? when you are on the show you aint gotta do anything but work
overall its her decision, i just really feel that her talent is too amazing to not show the world on a larger scale ❤
I am so obsessed with your channel right now. You are amazingly talented! I'm still a baby beginner, but I hope I can get on your level with practice. One day. Haha!
SkinnyGirlFatHair sub for sub
Less than five videos in and I'm already in love with your works. You can't see me but I'm giving you a standing ovation,.
I'm a professional seamstress and a Clothing and Textile Technology student and I've been watching your videos for a while. They're the bomb!!! Keep em coming! I especially love this one!

I bought myself a sewing machine today, because of you, April! :)

There's things you'll start with and I have no idea how you'd make it into anything cute, but you always succeed. Good job

How long the cape is depends on the length of the skirt, so keep this in mind when buying a skirt suit to do this project.
good point!
When I think you can't possibly surprise me you make you make that gorgeous cape!!!!!😍 I want it so freaking bad!
Your talent is absolutely incredible! There's no doubt in my mind that your future in the fashion industry is bright and successful. I know you will make it to the top. 👏
The final outfits were amazingly beautiful! Loved all the boots
I was actually just looking up patterns and what not to make an Inverness Cape like this (but longer) and having trouble finding any, this made the 'how the heck do I draft a pattern for this' part of my sewing madness so much simpler! What luck, Thank you!
