Thank you so much for what you do and the information you share! My partner is a truck driver who just purchased his first truck and we are thinking of opening up our own company even though we understand the market is not as it was back in 2021. Your videos have really helped me gain more insight on this industry as well as the process and everything needed to open our company! (I will make sure to watch as many of your videos as possible but definitely will binge watch those related to truck dispatching as that’s what I am looking to do, planning on signing up for your dispatching course) ❤
This is the first video of yours that I'm watching, and I'm about to binge every other video, your channel is fantastic and has tons of super valuable information on the back end of trucking!
The "Freezers" loads equipment required VR, there's no way you thought they were frozen loads. You're strategy for making contact with the broker to give you an upper hand before making any offer is spot on. Never let them see you sweat and never let them know how bad you want that load.
I actually was in such a rush that I didnt see the VR part. I actually thought it was frozen (I am not always an idiot but sometimes it slips through LOL)
A washington guy here. I have a heard a couple people call it pileup its actually pronounced pugh-all-up. Love the channel btw. Im new to working in a trucking company
you should make a video how to book first load with new Authority as a owner operator and what kind of paperwork we needs to exchange with broker and shipper Btw thanks for the video 🙏🏼
Great info and video!! I have just recently found your channel. I’m getting ready to start up a trucking business. I think you and I are going to be good business partners!!👍💯
I would like to find out how many hours do you find yourself working each day? Are there certain peak hours? I just want to get an idea of how to plan my schedule for the week. Finally, this channel is wonderful!!! You present the information in such a clear and concise manner!!!
Excellent question. Honestly, being a dispatcher and running a company will come with different hours. As I am dispatching and running two companies, I get in the office at 6 AM and dont leave until around 11 PM, every day, including Saturday and Sunday. As a dispatcher though, it will depend on how many trucks you have. Sometimes, you can book a load within 10 minutes, but in this market its an average of 2 hours or so, sometimes up to 5 hours for a single load. The peak hours are MORNING right now. Most market areas will dwindle away after 10 AM. Just remember, brokers come in at 8:30 AM to the office :)
@TruckingMadeSuccessful Excellent:) So in your opinion, would you say it's worth having your own trailer? Or run power only. What are some of the benefits of having your own trailer vs power only?
You think it’ll go back to what trucking was? I think it won’t be slowing down anytime soon. What’s your input? I do agree one day it does have to come down.
From your lips to God's ears! I hope this market stays like this for another 5 years or more. I think that in 2024 is when it will start going back to normal! I sincerely hope I am wrong and that it doesn't happen until 2064 haha
@@TruckingMadeSuccessful hahaha same & I love your content I found you today and I dispatch as well! I love how transparent and how your speaking FACTS about this Industry I can tell you’ve been doing this for a while!
Thank you for these videos I'm learning a lot. I've been a comercial driver for about 23 years. I have a cdl class a and I'm currently doing RV transport single pull with my pick up I'm considering hotshot hauling cars and such. Who should I talk to about getting my own authority? I live in WV and would like for someone help set it up
Many times it will pay better (or at least you can negotiate more) because frozen requires the reefer to work harder and burn more fuel. In summer months, frozen will usually pay pretty well, especially Ice Cream in August form Salt Lake City to AZ!
hello thanks for you time,im starting for the first time to use a load board I was with a broker so I never done an invoice, do you have a tutorial video of how to do it I'm kind of a cave man and im not into the technology of emails, thanks
Unfortunately It’s Amazing Information helpful but videos like these is what brokers are looking at and have lowered rates. Or Greedy new brokers have found a way to stand their ground on rates not caring that 1 tire blowout cost $400 -$1000 or a breakdown can cost $1500 or more.
Hi good morning and God bless you. I am new in this business, please how would you negotiate a load for a reefer which needs to be picked up wed 3 pm and delivered frid 9 pm? Temp -10F NASHVILLE TN to Butner NC 540 miles 20k.lbs
One of the biggest negotiation tools on your side is the fact that NC is horrid. Tell the broker that you are delivering to a bad market where you will have to get out for pennies, and if they want you to move the load, they better pay up
Question why is this channel not have at least 250K subscribers?! It’s so informative detailed and entertaining to watch
I wonder the same thing hahah , I guess quality over Quantity
Watching all videos since yesterday and am wondering the same thing :D
THAT WAS EDUCATIONAL. YOU TAUGHT US HOW TO BE PATIENT IN NEGOTIATIONS, LOL. SO, GREAT JOB!!!

Yeah I’m also shocked about negotiation😅
How the broker can give that rate without negotiating😂
I really appreciate that you are doing good ❤😊

Can I start my own authority with zero OTR experience? Will brokers give me loads?
Bro this rate negotiation is insane
Hello, great content, what loadboard do you use?
I used to use DAT, now Truckstop
Which load board do you use?
How do you know how many trucks are in the area?
Going to Utah from where?
Zones? Im new…
How do you know they r doing double brokering
Hey question do you have your own trailers? if so what kind of trailer? Dry van trailers? or reefer? or do you just power only run your trucks.
I do- dry vans and reefers

How would I distinguish the rate per state?
Does frozen loads pay better than refrigerated loads? And why?

Thank you! I use DAT Power! I will make a video on why soon :)
@@TruckingMadeSuccessful awesome I will be looking forward for that !!!
are you using truckstop because you pay 149$ for board
I use DAT power but the prices increased to 180/mo
Thank you for your videos i just started today to follow you on youtube .i want ask what type of loadborads you use to find the loads .thank you
DAT
Hey nice video! What do you mean by posting your truck? Is that a premium feature or standard on load board?
Its when you let brokers know you have a truck in the area. I believe its a standard on load boards
Where did you post the truck? dat?
DAT
Do you use DAT or a different load board?
My husband has a new authority and wants me to learn to dispatch his flatbed and more. Can you recommend loadboards i can start with?
DAT Power! Best!

DAT
It's insane how much these brokers are making off these loads in secret.
100%. There was a video released 2 years ago of a guy recording a phone call with a broker who admits to literally stealing money from truckers!
Do you have link to that video.
How can you see how many truck are in that area
You would go to the "Search Trucks" tab and enter in the area where you are searching for trucks :)
Thank you for your video. How do you post your trucks and what loadboard do you use ? Thank you keep up the great work!!!
I use DAT Power and post my trucks through that loadboard :)
