Nice to see your techniques, long time modeler myself. But? As a pilot, now retired, we NEVER refer to left/right on an airplane as "port/starboard". On a ship? Yes. Airplane? No.
I realize that you ALSO build ship models, so I understand.
Interesting point, when we brief Flight Attendants, we must emphasize "left/right" to orient when they are FACING FORWARD! Flight Attendants move around the cabin, some sit in jumpseats that face AFT. It's important that they are situationally aware.
