  • In part-1 Mike steps you thru the construction of the control surfaces, the main wings, the tail and the fuselage interior. Mike also shows you how the fuselage halves, the main wings and the tail fit together. Throughout the video Mike provides you tips on tweaking the parts for a better fit and recommendations on better construction sequences for the subassemblies.

Always look forward to a new video, Mike. Your presentation methods for the tutorials are among, if not the best for guidance on kits that modellers may wish to build to achieve great results.

Great video! I just bought a model kit of a B-26. It is 1/96 scale. I will get the ICM 1/48 scale next.

In lieu of trying to form fit styrene strips inside the wing to mitigate the flexing there, it might be easier (and stronger) to use some millable epoxy putty. Just a thought, and likely how I’ll do it. Thanks for the tape-up review on this kit! I got mine last week and can’t wait to get started on it.

I used it on small parts and it seemed to work well.
I always use medium set super glue for seam work.

Terrific video! Great insight into the assembly of this kit and love the way you pre-build almost the entire kit for fit and alignment. Nice job! I have a question for you. I know for tricycle standing kit, weights are needed for proper stance. Where in the forward nose section did you place the weights. Does the instructions tell you where they go? Thank you and enjoyed the tips and insights.

Another reviewer said Tamiya's extra-thin cement does not like the ICM plastic... In the comments to part 4 in his B-26 build, RW Hobbies mentions using MEK or Plastic Magic glue.
