But if you get additional Slot upgrades via Augmenting, you can add Critical Eye into the Build to make up for it. Alternitavely you can also bring a Fighter Type Palico on your Hunts. Their "Rousing Roar" Abillity will increase your Affinity by 30% for 2.5 min any time they use it.

There are beginner Builds for MR on the Channel aswell^^ As for mid MR, there isnt much reason to actualy focus on a specific Build for HH yet. Because nearly after every new Monster at that point, you would end up changing the Build. And Hunting Horn doesnt have any specific requirements in terms of Skills. So you can comfertably use whatever feels good to you & add the essentials like Wex, Critboost, Horn Masestro etc. Then once you reach around MR 20 you can start focusing on specific Builds.
I'm blown away that you came up with builds that I manage to to come up with as well, I even have the exact talismen. (though mine has 3, 2, 1 slots) I do wanna ask though, is Weakness Exploit really useful for HH? I feel it's better for weapons like Glaives and SwchAxe. I also have maxed out Defence Boost on my builds which gives +5 to all ele resists, wonder if that makes much difference either?
Haha nice! That's quite the coinsidence indeed 😄Weakness Exploit is worth it for nearly every single Weapon in the game. Only a few very specific Builds are an exception were it's not that valuable. It's among the Top 5 S Tier Skills in the MH Franchise right now. The maxed out Defense Boost will reslut in about +6 additional Element ATK. If you can fit it into the Build without loosing any essential Skills, it's always a nice Bonus for Element Builds 👍🏽(but not necesarry).
For build at 3:50, do you still recommend we use Risen Kaiser Coil even if we don't care about the ice weapon? I'm enjoying Silver Smasher too much to give it up :( Instant edit : I'm stupid, mixed up Risen Kaiser Coil with Rishen Kushala Cocoon. Another question though - what can I use as a replacement for Valstrax Helm - Epoch, for the journey to MR180 :)
The Helmet is gonna be tricky to replace, since the Dragon Conversion Skill on it is a essential part of the Build. But you can use the Risen Kaiser, or Chaotic Gore Helm, untill you get access to Risen Valstrax if you like :)
What is a recommended HH build to work my way up to these builds? Friend and I are playing together and just got past Gaismogorm and are no where near primordial or risen val yet. Any good builds to recommend to get up to that level?
@@YokaiNox Currently at MR20, I have the full Gaismogorm set as I saw some stuff online that said its really good for dishing out dmg. However, I struggle to use the set effectively as I hardly use switch skill swap and I get hit to often to rely on the quiro buff the armor gives.
@@stega2970 Okay that actually makes this very simple. At that point in the game your best choice will be running the fulll Teostra X Set. Optionally you can switch out the Chest or Waist for Malzeno Pieces, if you want to add some Health regeneratioin via Bloodrite into the Build. If you want to use Raw ATK based weapons, all you need to add will be ATK Boost and you're done. For an Element setup (wich will be stronger), Add Lv 5 of wichever Element you are using, Lv 1 Element Exploit & Kushala Blessing Lv 2 if you are using Ice or Water for an easy 10% Boost. After that you can also add Critical Element into the Build if you still have room.

Completely up to personal preference. There is no such thing as "best Switch Skill" when it comes to Hunting Horn. You can literlly just pick whatever works best for your personal playstyle^^
There is no specific upgradet version since it's a Template. In the 8 Weapons i cover right before the Build i also show additional Skills you can add to the Template, depending on the weapon choice. So those will be your most benefitial Skills to add when upgrading the Build :)
Furious only drops in Vigor melding, so it's a RNG drop. Luckily Furious is definitely not on the rare end! If you just focus on anomaly quests and things related to them (like raising your AR Level, getting materials to quiro craft your gear etc) you'll get a Talisman with Furious pretty quickly by melding talismans as you go.
In that case for now you can either use the other Risen Valstrax Pieces that have that Skill, or roll for it with Augments. (It's not particularly rare as an Augment btw)
Basically ^^ You want Dragon Con & after that add Furious into the Build if you can via Augments (Or ofc also via Talisman if you have something good in your box!).
Did you perhaps skip parts of the Video? Cause I'm more than a little confused here..🤔 I dont expect anyone to have a specific Talisman & I also show mutiple substitute Talisman options that can be used to get all essential skills. Including Talismans you can specifically aim for with Cyclus melding 😄 (like ATK Lv 3 [2-2-2] for example) And a Drgon Con Lv 2 with [2-0-0] Slotage (wich I show for Build 1 as being enough aswell) is not rare at all either 😄 You might've had some considerably bad RNG.. If you're grinding Talismans at AR 240+ and using those afflicted materials, it wont take long. Since you get quite a few Talismans worth of materials every single Hunt.

How about a build for early MR? No one ever talks about the journey, just end game.

You just have to start with the largest Decos first and then work your way down in size. Everything will fall into place by default that way😄
