Wizards and Warriors animated fantasy documentary lore video series on GRR Martin's world of Ice and Fire continues with the aftermath of the episode describing the madness of king Aerys II Targaryen ( • How Aerys Became the M... ) and Robert's Rebellion ( • Robert's Rebellion - B... ), as well as the Ironborn Rebellion of Balon Greyjoy ( • Ironborn Rebellion - G... ). The courtly intrigues led to the death of the King Robert Baratheon and the consequent succession crisis leads to the beginning of the War of the Five Kings. The Star heir Robb - the Young Wolf is eager to save his father Eddard and so he marches south, leading to the battles of Green Fork and Whispering Wood and of the Camps against the house of Lannister ( • Rise of the Young Wolf... ). The war of the Five Kings continues with the battles of Oxcross, Fords and Bitterbridge ( • Battle of Oxcross - Wa... ) inching the continent closer to the battle of the Blackwater Bay ( • Battle of the Blackwat... ). That battle was pivotal and changed the flow of the war. The Starks were also attacked by the Greyjoys from the north and were betrayed by their own bannermen, leading to the battles of Duskendale and Red Wedding ( • Red Wedding - Game of ... ). For now, we turn to the events in Essos, where we observe the rise of Daenerys Targaryen, who helped by her husband Khal Drogo of the Dothraki and her own resilience, makes the first steps on the way to returning the throne of her father Aeyrys ( • Rise of Daenerys Targa... ). Despite difficulties, Daenerys manages to build an empire in Essos by taking over a number of cities.

Hell naw
Cover Conan the barbarian,please?
This video was nice. But when are you doing another Sci-Fi video. Such was Star Wars or Star Trek or maybe some other form of Sci-Fi. Are you even going to make anymore of those video's again.
@@Rellana1---This channel already made several video's on Conan the Barbarian.
@@brokenbridge6316 I was hoping for more Conan the Barbarian in the future.
I hope all of these problems don't lead to her taking any brazen and ruthless decisions.
Mah quain
i know what is GOOOOOOOD
They will
I don't see why that's a problem that's literally suggested multiple times as the solution she only got in this mess because she was to merciful to the slave masters fire and blood is the only way to truly deal with scum like that .
fortunately George hasn’t finished the books
unfortunately George hasnt finished the books
I'm glad to see you're still doing ASOIAF lore videos. I hope after Daenerys you'll cover events at The Wall and beyond with Jon Snow and the Night's Watch.
Also with the post-War of the Five Kings events; the Purple Wedding, the Iron Island's Kingsmoot with Euron Greyjoy, and the political machinations in King's Landing, the North and Dorne. All involving the Lannisters, Tyrells, Boltons, Martells and many more.
young griff and the golden company please...
@@johnmitchell4043 I really want to see Griff and Young Griff too. I was disappointed they didn't make it into the TV series.
I suppose Jorah Mormont couldn’t “bear” that he had been exiled.
😂😂nice
To be honest if there is a choice between Jon and Dany, I would prefer Dany. Jon is more like a superhero, while Dany is more politically savvy. Of course most people prefer superheroes over politicians, but not me.
If only she just stayed in Essos and consolidated power from Astapor and Yunkai, would've made for a much more climactic enemy after The Long Nights conclusion.
? Book dany is still in essos season 7 and 8 are not cannon
@@thatoneblackdude3333 I assume that was the plan from the books perspective, I hated the shows writing outside source material. It would make much more thrilling ending to have our conclusion with the Lannisters and Starks at Castle Black where the Nights Watch is disbanded and the White Walkers defeated by Jon, and then boom, hundreds of thousands of Red-Banner Dragon ships on the horizon, teeming with warriors from the Free Cities, overhead flies 3 fully grown dragons, roll credits.
@@thatoneblackdude3333 yes it is
In the TV universe
@@BailensdeLykenos yeah but It was only an outline no details in between each major event
I clicked so fast the Rohirrim hadn't even crested the hill yet
Don't care
@@balabanasireti ok
this channel is totally underrated! It's criminal in fact that you only got on average 30k per videos when in fact it should be 300k!
Damn, they did Daenerys dirty!! It still leaves me speechless to think about it. Such an epic character, such an interesting story.
And dont get me wrong, I am perfectly fine with mad tyrant Daenerys ending, that was something that has been foreshadowed for years, and a lot of us book fans suspected it would be her story in the end, way before HBO even made the series a steeple of pop culture that it was.
But the shallow, hollow, undeveloped and pointless way it was rushed, executed and written is truly something that will go down in actual history books as one of the worst examples of how to squander an epic characters story arc.
At least she is in good company. Jon, Tyrion, Jaime, Varys, Littlefinger .... in hindsight, we should have seen it coming.
Don't want to be pendantic, but basically she rules one city-state (and that one is currently under siege). Does calling it an ''empire'' make sense?
In the books, there's a very real chance that her army, led by ser Barristan Selmy, can defeat the combined forces of Yunkai, Astapor, and a few other cities including Mantarys, Tolos and New Ghis. If that comes to pass, all these cities, along with Mereen, would give her absolute control over slavers bay. Then she might have a true empire.
She rules at least two with one in open rebellion. Kingdom is arguably a better word but in-story the state is viewed by the people running it, and many of their enemies as a kind of successor to the dragonlord empires of old. If not Valyria itself then at least the short lived successors on Essos
@@dasarianshuman408 for sure, I believe her forces will win the incoming battle of fire (as the fans call it). At what cost though remains to be seen (it's highly likely barristan will die in the battle)
Also, Daenerys epiphany during her epilogue implies that she will not stick around to rule this time but leave it to crash and burn.
@@DragonwolfoftheSands what's the second? Astapor is a ghost city at this point and yunkai is at war with her
I still can't understand how so many fans blame Dany for not creating the whole new economic system from scratch in a matter of months even though the Meereenese Masters got whole war of attrition on their own territories, poisoned all their wells and cut down all of their wood JUST so she wouldn't get some resources on her way to the city. And that is ignoring the whole domestic terrorism(The Sons of the Harpy) deal. Some say she should have given more concessions to former slavers, but I think she should have completely uprooted them from their seat of power, distributing their resources among freed slaves. Both in Yunkai and Meereen. That really was one of her few mistakes. Beating around the bush with former ruling class never let you get with anything substantial. Another mistake was not leaving any professional fighting force in Astapor after her departure to safeguard the new regime there.
P.S. "Innocent" Masters in Meereen are the show thing only.
P.S.S. I think that the crone who Dany asked about the Masters after entering Meereen was the Green Grace.
Yeah, it was either all or nothing, the compromise was her biggest mistake. Had she not done it, her and Aegon could be on their way to Westeros by the end of book five... If she believed hes Aegon, that is.
Also she's like 15 in books.
And by some standards more or less a child.
Daenerys is doint pretty damn well considering she's only been in Meereen for a matter of months and there hasn't been any truly decisive battle to end the slavers' powers outside of Mereen. It was years after Aegon's conquest that just 6 of the 7 kingdoms were truly stable and far longer to bring Dorne properly into the fold. There hasn't been enough time for her to truly have made any mistakes.
One thing I loved about Daenerys Targaryen apart from the casting of Emilia Clarke. Her journey. Her transformation from an exiled princess to a powerful woman. A great character who was ruined in the final season of Game of Thrones.
As long as Danny has Belwas the strong at her side she has nothing to fear
except for honeyed locusts
I appreciate these ASOIAF videos. Especially since they missed an opportunity with Strong Belwas in the show. I think your explainer vids will be great whenever Winds is released
Y'know, when you've got an army there motivated by the horrific treatment of slaves, adding *more* horrific treatment is probably not the best way to dissuade them from marching on you
Can we get a Night's Watch Video too? From around Aerys to John's death.
*"Yooo K&G when we gonna see the next mongol Alternate history"*
I love these videos! Thank you so much for your content! I'm sure you don't even read these but it would be cool if you made some videos about John Snow (Aegon) and his journey specifically. Thanks again!
I’ve been hungering for a new ASOIAF video, thanks!
Finally 🙌 back to George R.R.
Thanks, more George Martin please 😊
I hope that you can get to the Malazan Empire stories sometime soon.
and the wheel of time
She is the Amethyst Empress reborn.
With fire and blood?
I very much enjoy these videos, but it must be asked: when are we getting episode 4 of the Mongol Invasion of Western Europe?!
And then the show takes all this character development and STOMPS on it with both feet
Good stuff!
more please, more!!
So bulwas killed the rider, not daario. Interesting
Strong Belwas never got a TV role.
Daario was too sexy to risk
Long live the mother of 🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉!
And death to the treacherous wolves
I’d like to know whose bright idea was it, “in the face of fighting a massive strong army of slaves” to children and baby slaves on crosses lol like who couldn’t see that would backfire big time
Well, I think it is obvious where Martin got his inspiration - the brutal but efficent way Crassus delt with the captured rebels from the crushed Spartacus-host. Of course he did so after he had defeated them, not before, but the similarity is clear.
Daenerys' simp army will conquer all!
The more I think about this story the less sense her random heel turn makes. Yes even in the books
Someone who see the truth of d&d's nonsense mad queen dany never made since theres already another character built up to be the mad queen and it's not dany .
the books won't go down that path. we know whose dumb idea that was
We're so back
Please cover trippy Euron.
Weird to see everyone wearing armor and her in a tank top...
I don't know if Danny makes it without Jorah The Andal's sound advice and love. She would still be in the dosh kaleeen if not for Ser Jorah the Andal
Jorah "The Friend" Mormont
What a merciful, progressive and understanding queen. I bet she will liberate the people of Westeros in a *Fiery Fashion*
Are you saying this sarcastically because she is legetamitly merciful, progressive and understanding I don't think you really paid attention to hee book essos arc if you think she isn't any of those things .
@@thatoneblackdude3333 "Mhysa" always chose violence on the survace she is kind and good if you will. But she is the mad queen.
@@MS-Melas if dany always choose violence she literally wouldn't be in the situation she's currently in and no she isn't dany has shown no signs of madness What so ever and is constantly said she is nothing like her father, d&d made that up at the last minute they admitted it themselves
@@thatoneblackdude3333 you ever read the books? "Kill all the masters but leave every child under 12 alive", what about the the 12-18 year olds? They were murdered on Mhysas orders, and you can't tell me that the unsullied ask every child how old they are before the unsullied began to murder. There are several other examples in her "Essos arc". But the big deal comes when she finally mets Tyrion. He is not like in the show if you think that "he is the villian"-Grrm. He will try to bring Mhysa nearer to her destination, madness, but before they go on a rampage in Essos i mean the tattered prince still wants Pentos you know, and Mhysa has other unfinished business in Essos. Then there still is Quaithe who enters her dreams and demands that she goes west with "Fire and Blood" and she should embrace it is Quaithes advice. She will go to Westeros with Fire and Blood will by the way cause a famin because she brings her hole army instead of Aegon the Conqueror who brought only a few hundred or thousands. And GRRM confirmed that Bran will be king and Mhysa would NEVER give away her "birthright" willingly so she will die and not sit the Throne because in her madness she will be killed.
@@MS-Melas once again you people willfully misinterpret that line her saying " leave children under 12 " doesn't mean kill everyone else it just means don't kill innocent civilians if dany killed innocent kids it would be brought up in the story it never is because it never happened , every example of dany using violence to is with evil people who give her no choice dany never attacks people unprovoked if you actually read the books you'd know that , your a idiot if you think dany is going to be manipulated by tyrion when she's shown to see through peoples deception multiple times , her going fire and blood is not a negative thing it's embracing her house words to do what needs to be done it doesn't mean destroying everything once again willfully misinterpret what's being said, westaros already has famine and other shit going on and dany bringing fire and blood to westaros doesn't mean she's just going to go around killing people use your common since , you don't know if danys bringing her whole army that is never hinted at anywhere in the story , grrm never confirmed bran will be king of westaros it was only said he will be a king which can mean multiple things , once again you prove You don't read the books because dany doesn't see the throne as her birthright nor is she so obsessed with it that she'd go to get it even at the close of innocent lives she'd sooner give it up then claim it at the expense of innocents , dany is not mad and will not go mad cerci is the mad queen in the book's not dany she's literally compared to the mad king multiple times , is mentally unstable and obsessed with wild fire , dany can't be the mad queen as it's antithetical to her entire character and story it also doesn't make since to make her the mad queen in the second to last book of the series, this idea also ignores her vary clear role in the long night dany can't help fight the long night and then be the mad queen at the same time .
Dany's storyline feels like a game of risk where she keeps rolling sixes.
More lore !
Cowabunga dragons go brrrrrrrrrr.
cool
Do the works of Gene Wolfe!
Hope she doesn't turn mad for no reason and burn a city down pointlessly...
Had no clue the bold and eternal friend zone had beef.
All your rolling needs
That's it. Im starting a D&D campaign to fix the Game of Thrones lol.
If you want to keep it authentic, only play one session every four years
Think Daenerys really needed to sit down and learn how to rule a city state for a good several years before even making an attempt to conquer westeros. As in the nooks, Meeren is never properly brought under her control or submitted to her, as sons of the harpy wage a guerrilla war against her and always got the feeling that she never found her raison Detra and style of ruling differing between whether to try and win hearts and minds or be ruthless in putting down opposition.
Great video but why she dressed in a crop top and cargo pants?
These comments are missing the point. Not everything in the last 3 seasons of GoT will even happen in the books and yall are looking at this video essay with the tv show's perspective. This is entirely talking about the books only.
Why Daenerys did not stay on the East and made a New Valyrian Empire and her successors conquered Westeros in the feature?
5:22 Giga Chad moment.
✌
Dunno if build is the right word...
*_DRACARYS_*!!!!!!!!!!!!
*_Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains._*
Wish GRRM would stop galavanting around the world and finish the series so he could do more world building like, what’s west of westeros, sothoryos, and the east
Lol, you actually think Winds is coming out. At best you'll get a Silmarillion situation where someone has to compile something out of notes the deceased writer leaves behind.
@@JohnSmith-tt3goA man can dream
I think GRRM doesn't know how to end his series without upsetting his readers
Why short hair though? Did Dany have short hair in the books?
She lost her hair in Khal Drogo's pyre.
@@WizardsandWarriors Thanks
Wtf is that thumbnail 😂
These videos are better than the damn show was 😁👍
Ok

When will there be She-ra Netflix series, Stargate, Star Trek, Call of Duty & so on?!
Ooh, I'd love a series on the history and battles of Stargate SG-1!
Come back to Westeros Dany, our boy Aegon needs his auntie!
Young Griff please
FAT DRAGON MOMMA
After Mereen the books fell off, you can literally sense where GRRM noticed that he had written himself into a corner and couln't find a way out for the life of him...
Simple. She was outfitted with the finest of plot armours.
Freeing 10k slaves and absorbing into military + training to become professional soldiers would give her a massive army.
Free slaves - absorb willing to avoid rebellions > train into professionals > repeat.
