I love this song and album!! Although to be honest I don’t think I would say anything different about any of Led Zeppelin’s albums or songs. They are just incredible 👏👏👏👏
That album was very underrated. I purchased it when it first came out in 1976... One of my favorite albums too... I went to see them live in 1977 at the Jefferson county coliseum in B'ham Al. They performed a few of their songs off this album. It was still considered fairly new... Best rock concert I had ever gone to in my life. That's how good they were..... Those were the days!💯😎✌️. RIP John (Bonzo) Bonham! Awesome drummer!
So happy to see you guys back to Zeppelin you know how we love to get the Led out !!! Since you have the shirt on & football 🏈 sitting there I will say good game Ohio State …. from lifelong M GO BLUE fan !!!
Robert's dissatisfaction with the growing cocaine scene in LA inspired this song; not to mention a female friend of his overdosed on it. In fact, it's in the first lyric ("Don't you want cocaine, cocaine, cocaine?") The snorting noise you heard near the end of the song (I saw both of you guys perk up when you heard it and looked at each other like "What was that?") also gives a clue as to the topic. No one in Zep was clean; in fact, Jonesy would say that during the recording of In Through The Out Door, he and Robert were in the "relatively clean" camp. This song was never performed in concert but they did dust it off to perform for the first time at the O2.
This song is about cocaine big time! Not just because he mentions it. They were Massive fiends! Did mountains of the stuff. I’m sure they had to taper off at some point. This is very well known.
Plant wrote this song after a friend offered him cocaine. Not sure if I'm stating the obvious or not but that's the story behind the song. If memory serves me Plant was completely turned off by the offer.

“Hots on for Nowhere” is criminally underrated….

Check out the live version of this song at their Celebration Day concert. It’s actually much better than the recorded version.
One of the best Zep's songs
Hell yeah!!!

I heard it was a female friend who died of overdosing in cocaine.
@@saminislam2043 I also heard that the friend that was a female so that matches up and you're probably right about her overdosing.
