    They finally played this live in 2007! It is severely underrated!

    a moment ago i read this about the 2007 rendition " During rehearsals, John Paul Jones commented, "'For Your Life' feels good, mainly because we've never played it much. It all feels quite fresh to me because I haven't played any of this stuff for years and I never listen to the records at home… Jason makes it more interesting too, because he's not trying to reassemble things exactly the way his father did." Would be interesting to know what JPJ listens to

    Legend has it that RP wrote it about Page, which is why it wasn't played live until 2007

    For your life is fantastic. Can't tell if I like the studio version better than the 02 one. Shows how good of a band Zep was

    Lol the *sound* of the guitar...! I mean next level, and yeah of course everyone else. But again that guitar and the space between the chords, just EPIC!!

    It's cool you're doing a show on Christmas Day. Thanks man, Merry Christmas. Presence is my second to last favorite Zeppelin album but, this is one of the killer songs from it.

    Quite a few idiots in the audience at the 02 thought it was a new song. I'm a nice 'live and let live' type of fella but that still irks me and if I was security on the night I would have kicked them out 🤣. In my top five Zep choons, Happy New Year Wayne, starman👍

    the o2 show they played this and killed it! great song, great reaction! youre spot on
    by this time 76" Plant wanted to leave the band but Bonham talked him back in, then after 77' Bonham wanted to quit but Plant talked him back, big mistake in hindsight
    i think Achillies is a great song, nobodys fault, for your life and tea for one are really good songs. the rest are filler songs, overall a good Zep album not great.
    compared to other great groups i think presence can still rival or beat their average albums.

    As good as Achilles and Nobody's Fault is, this track is the one that really grabbed me when Presence first came out. It's one of my all time favorites. All the time changes are kick-ass. It's like 5 killer songs in one. Bonzo's use of ghost notes are other worldly drumming.

      There's only technically 8 albums Coda doesn't count as it's only an outtake album that was released after John Bonhams death.

    • @charliecoutts3003
      @charliecoutts3003 Год назад

      @@devanworkman8745 bit pedantic me old fruitbean, particularly as a I was referring to something unconnected to numerical totals. And if you're going down that route would you consider Physical Graffiti an 'out-takes' (grammatically correct) album as it contained more than a few tracks worked up in rehearsals, or recorded and not used from Zep 3 and Houses of The Holy. I'm well aware of when Bonzo died too, please don't try and tell your Granny how to suck eggs. If you really want to have a Zeppelin "Knowledge Off" with me, I suggest you go away and gem up for at least five years then come back and I'll still shellac you 😁😁👍😜🤫🤫

    Back in the day when real musicians actually wrote their own lyrics and music 👍🏼😎
    Not like it is today where most artists/bands just buy other peoples songs and then record them it's a massive joke imho 😂
    I write my own lyrics and music. The way it's supposed to be...

    Presence was the first album I bought with my own money. “For Your Life” is as underrated as “Achilles Last Stand” is overrated. Both great anyway, and “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” is Zeppelins best tune.
