- I recently received a P0014 error code which has to do with the camshaft position timing as well as a P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire.
So in this video, I show you how to change the intake and exhaust camshaft position actuators. It's a pretty easy job and can probably be done in about 20 minutes..

Thanks for making this video! Just replace both of mine and they were both black on the car so watching his video I was able to make sure I knew which was the intake which was the exhaust
I had to do this to my solstice, and broke the first clip that you pulled out in the process, I think if you put the error code on the title of the video might help other people to find a solution faster since this is a common issue, thank you Mike!
I was having all kinds of rough downshifts, and transmission would go from N to D with a dissatisfying “clunk!”. Check engine light, too! A Solstice friend of mine suggested this was the problem. We changed them out and wow!, what a difference!😃👍🏻
Just wanted to say thanks for making these videos Mike. Very helpful. I subscribed awhile back. Thank you Sir.
Nice job sir, nice job.
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.
Good job 👍 Mike, have you ever change your rear brakes?
I was so nervous those bolt were gonna snap on you, they are unbelievably soft.
Yeah. It took a little bit of effort but it wasn't too bad. If it was worse, I would have brought out the good ol PB Blaster.
I had too do this to mike, I did it in a warm engine and didn’t realize I hadn’t pushed it in all the way and ended leaking oil on to my exhaust and only found out when driving on the i238 when smoke was gushing out of the back of my car
Ouch. I'm glad to hear it was just oil on you exhaust and you discovered the problem.
Hey Mike, quick question. I have searched high and low for the guy that makes the custom fuse box covers . Any info on him?
So - did it clear the codes?
Well, I cleared the code myself and after driving a few days, so far everything is good. I figure if after a few weeks I don't have any codes pop I'm, I'm good to go.
I changed mine on 2007 sky, now it gives me a 315 code, crankshaft position sensor not learned, lol..I guess I have to educate my sensors..aw well.
