My installation kept failing until I rebooted back into recovery after my format data. That is: I needed to force another reboot into recovery after factory reset via advanced option. All in all I ended up doing a factory reset twice (do to failure) and then a reboot to get a successful install. Thanks Munchy for the video.

thanks for the great video, I did get stuck with sideloading Lineage OS 21 but, figured out had to repartition for google pixel one than i was able to sideload Lineage OS
How do I update the os after installed. I have an OTA update ready and will not install, I cannot find any recovery image that can install the downloaded file
I download the updates and export them onto a flash drive using a USB C to USB adapter. Then the option appears to search the flash drive from lineage recovery.

@@munchy_cool ayee, I got it. I wasn't been paying attention to the prompt on the recovery about restarting to flash another package. As soon as I selected no it displayed that it was finished. actually you just have to install package named android-tools depending on the distribution, Linux is very convenient for command line tools and such

No need..only bootloader unlock
