This ramming down our throats this dark theme nonsense (Quick Settings) is what keeps me on Lineage 20. This battle was settled when we moved from DOS to Windows - they didn't keep "dark theme" of DOS when they created Windows. It's bleeding eyes too much.
Mostly switched to a dumbphone for various reasons. Excited to put Lineage on my smartphone in a year or two (I keep it just in case).
one ui is so good that it makes it really hard for me to justify flashing a rom on a phone I consider to be my daily driver
I like lineage os, but I've been using evolution x on my secondary device and I'm loving it
Well they kicked the oneplus nord off the support list so no linageos anymore for me 😢
How is the battery compared to stock android ?
Better
is it worth to try on moto G7?
don't know if the snapdragon 632 could handle this os
a video on lineageos vs graphene os would be awesome
new subscriber : is there a brand & model of mobile that is best suited to Lineage 21 OR will any hardware be appropriate ? PS Up the Tigers !!!
As far as I'm concerned, the best for Los are pixels.
Is it better than pixel OS?
I'm on an Pixel 4a, too, but am undecided if I should install Lineageos 21, because I do not know if my banking apps will work when switching.
Glad you are back Damien
There is finally a OnePlus Nord n10 supported version of lineage! I can finally switch! 🎉
Can I flash this on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G?
Now if only you could unlock the bootloader on most mobile devices.
Imagine if your laptop didn't allow you to install windows for "safety".
It's time to flash Lineage OS 21 on my pixel 4a
The problems with custom roms is that they keep getting bugs with several being critical to basic functionality so nobody can run them as daily drivers, wish custom rom communities had a good funding source so the teams coukd put good R&D and teams to keep the ROM working well
Take a look at GrapheneOS, they are super fast to release bug fixes and security patches that they release before Pixels OS.
can one use google wallet with this? or something like it so I can use phone with my credit cards?
Sometimes. It will work, then break, then get patches and work again. Cat & mouse. Banks and Google try to lock it down because the device has been root exploited - they have to assume that is untrustworthy
everytime update need dirty or clean flash?
Even Lineage OS itself doesnt like light mode apparently.
los is the only reason why my old-ass samsung tab is still usable.
Do you still have free backup google photos (in storage saver quality) with lineage OS?
I wanna know that too
root and get it with full quality
@@e53any idea how to do so? The process? Thanks
wanna know this me too
I sincerely wished huawei would have left the bootloader unlocked because Emui without Google is complete garbage and nothing in common with the old Emui that used to be shipped with Google apps in it's global ROM.
They can't do that. How will they spy on you then?
Thank you. I will try this on my Pixel Pro 8.
Commenting from P4a running Lineage OS 21 ❤❤
The notification theme being broken is apparently intentional (because no one took the time to update it from LineageOS 20). Blegh.
what cellphone do you use?
I miss the day playing with custom rom....
Camera comparison between Stock and Lineage would be great
Or maybe between stock and the version of Google Cam on Android 14.
I will install this on my Samsung S5 :)
lineageOs vs pixel experience plus Which rom is best for performance and battery?
Since safety net and play integrity, lineageos is kinda eol for me personally,bc it's much harder to use wallet to pay in shops, and many apps having problems..
Mine working fine even banking apps with Lineage
Safety net is the biggest hurdle for me to use los
Where can you find that wall thx
What kind of maps are the best for LineageOS?
Lineages is allow to create gest user, second user/multiple user
Is there a tablet version? I want to try it out on an old Samsung Tab A 2019 stuck on Android 11
A bit late, but it looks like the latest version for that tablet is Lineage OS 20. You can find it by searching for "LineageOS gtowifi"
I have a One+ 6 McClaren edition and no matter what I've tried I can't get any notifications for my wyze cameras. I've got notifications turned on in the app and also have the app, I can't recall the name right now that sort of mimics Google Play Services. (brain hiccup) and still a no go.
I put lineage on my moto g7 play. it allowed me to use a 64 bit os that made it way faster, got me through a month period where I couldn't turn on DUAL SIM on my iphone. Afterwards I donated it to a family member and it lasted about 2 years before the battery started bulging. In my honest opinion Pixel phones need lineageos the most, Pixel 7 really sucks can't turn off google search bar, you'd be better off with a samsung galaxy S with the stock rom and samsung account not used/logged in!
Will they have an update for Samsung S22 ultra?
Oh hell yeah, I've been looking for a reason to continually restart my phone and some cheesy animation is exactly what I need to make it worthwhile. Sign me up! Now who can I SSH too so I don't have to do any of this myself? I'm sure you're trustworthy, all of you...
Watching on lineage os 20 on moto g71 5G
How well does it work with banking apps?
Who can give feedback on pixel 4/4xl on Los21? How’s battery life and performance (can it survive 2024-25 without struggling)? Is it better than in stock pixel experience? And is it a way to download the pixel camera on lineage? And what about the banking apps and google pay
Yeah, the problem with LineageOS is that it's GARBAGE compared to OneUI. So if I install it on a Samsung device, I'll be DOWNGRADING my experience for the sake for placebo monthly updates.
Not worth it.
