Wonder what happened to the detective that seemed so certain it was just a misunderstanding. I'd like to think he was fired but was probably 'retrained' and promoted.
It's "To protect (corporate interests) And Serve (the powers that be)." Regardless of how idealistic the officer was when they joined. The supreme court has declared years ago that they are NOT obliged to protect. Think about where all the non-tax money they get comes from, police balls with the rich, farming for traffic violations or civil forfeiture. Either they're palling around with the rich with the implied favors that come with it or they are exploiting the very people they are supposed to be serving.

The 2nd story made me think of another stalker story where one man terrorised a family for months. Creepy driveby's, threatening phone calls, peeping through the windows and bolting before could be caught and even killed the family dog.
Countless times they had called the police about him and they did nothing. It got so bad that one night where OP went to get some water, they found their dad sitting at the kitchen table with a gun in hand as he was tired of the police waiting until he 'tried something' and he was tired of his family living in constant fear.

People are really blaming police 100% on this , why ? they can’t arrest people for breaking the law if there is no law in place based on actions . We all know criminals screaming….i know my rights you can’t arrest me ,and the lawsuits that ensue. They can only arrest, they can’t set bail ,prosecute ,nothing . They have to follow the law ,she did what all of us should do knowing this , protect ourselves. She bought a gun legally and used it , cops came and arrested him, the courts and prosecutors finally did their job. We the people need to get together and make sure laws are in place to protect us ,not the criminals.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is the reason why it is so important to learn to handle a gun and practice. Op tried to get help from the Police and he did nothing until it was almost too late.
If OP called the police instead of training with a firearm, it would take them at least 5mins. In 5mins stalker would have done the unimaginable.
If you are scared of a person like this stalker, go and get train to protect yourself asap! People at the gun shops/range are more than happy to help you find a firearm that fits your needs and help you train, some even host classes for you to join.
If there are women out there too nervous to join a class like that, ask if there are women's only classes! It's all women, including the instructor! I been to a dozen ranges and every one has a women class at least 2 times a month. They will happy teach you the basics of firearms, including the 5 rules of handling, shooting practice, and learning how to properly holster your weapons when in public (especially conceal carry if it's legal in your state).
Remember, it takes an average of 5mins for police to show up vs 1200 ft per second of a 9mm

The federalists feared that by listing out certain rights it would lead to people concluding that no other rights existed as they weren’t listed. They believed the rights the antifederalists wanted to add to the constitution were so blatantly obvious that specifically mentioning them would do more harm than good. We now know this to be untrue and in the words of Thomas Jefferson:
“If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.”

If LV stands for Las Vegas it’s open carry I filed a police report for a guy who didn’t handle rejection well he went psycho saying similar threats. Even if the police don’t take you seriously still get a report stating you fear for your life due to threats made by this person because when you have to use your second amendment especially if he just pops up at your house or job you want no doubt it’s self defense and after you exercised your right call the police then call your lawyer and shut up 🤐. I can say this from experience because the cops will twist every event like that’s not how that happened. Once of my favorite gems was why did you shoot he didn’t have a weapon he’s smaller than you? Me 6’2 220 him 5’10 180 just wow had to sit silent for that and let my lawyer share the test where he said he would hang r@p# and skin me plus the revenge porn he sent of other women. If your state is “open carry”, there are plenty of places which will post NO GUNS signs, demand that you leave, or (this one is REALLY fun) some Karen will call 911 and claim that you are waving your gun around threatening to shoot people. So don’t tell me some locale is “open carry”, OK?
(Just try going into a casino with a gun openly; let us know how that turns out.
The philosophy of being “anti-gun” disappears real quick when you realize
You face a real threat to your life or family.

At this point we might as well pass a law just letting victims handle stalkers how they see fit, be it physical assault or worse.

Story 2: There are typically five signs of stalking.
    1. Love bombing. Typically the stalker floods the victim with messages, be it online, phone calls, etc. These messages can range from sweet and kind one second to violent and threatening another moment.
    2. Gifting. Similar to love bombing, the stalker sends an outrageous amount of money or extravagant gifts. They do this in attempt to make the victim feel that they “owe” them.
    3. Blackmail. Usually the stalker resorts to emotional blackmail by threatening self harm or self ending to emotionally manipulate the victim. Other times they threaten the life or well being of the victim. Other times they will attempt to slander the victim by posting and photoshopping the victim’s face on a naked image and threaten to spread it online.
    4. Manipulation. The stalker will typically try to manipulate the victim into thinking that they are in need of help, or anything they can to play on the victim’s sense of sympathy by claiming to have a terminal illness. Or they claim they will leave the victim alone but then come back like a demon in their life. Sometimes they will pull a “Max Cady” style campaign where it seems circumstantial when they encounter the victim, and often try to make the victim out to be the aggressor and themselves to be the victim.
    5. Harming an animal or other living being. Often the stalker will harm a small animal and leave the remains to intimidate the victim. Other times they will buy animal carcasses or by products from a butcher shop and leave it for their victim to terrorize them.
Invest in dash cameras for your vehicles, home security cameras, doorbell cameras, and firearms (please be sure to take safety training classes and learn how to use it, practice often). Always gather evidence, document everything, and file a restraining order.
