Last year I went to Mérida, way down at the bottom of Mexico in the Yucatan Peninsula. I actually spent an entire month there. And while I tried to make a decent video describing the place, it wasn't well received. Why? Well … because I was an idiot and made a horrible video. LOL!
I actually loved the place so much that we came back for more! Only this time, we knew exactly what to expect.
    Or did we?
    💚 Thanks for watching!

"Be Yourself ... Everyone Else Is Already Taken"
Hi, I’m Rick Higgins and I’ve dared to create a slightly unusual lifestyle that fits me like a glove.
Well, mostly. The thumb is still a little bit off but I’m working on it. Yet despite that minor faux pas, I want to help you to transform your own life as well. Not into mine, of course. But into whatever makes your own unique boat float.
All it takes is a little understanding of how we humans work ... and that daring first step.

Honestly, there isn't much else to add that isn't in the video. Especially about the heat. I think I showed that well enough. LOL! But as far as the entire area, it's quickly become tied for second as my favorite place in the world. (Spain is it's co-silver medal sidekick).
The pace of life, the people, everything about the Yucatán screams welcome. And the food is incredible.

#1 issue is hydration but #2 is you need to keep your head covered you need to wear a hat and #3 don’t over do it or push yourself to hard in that kind of heat. Great video! Thanks.

Great video! Nice edits and nice to see your personality front and center! I'm an expat and have been living in a Mexico for two years... first in San Miguel de Allende and now I'm in CDMX. I looked long and hard at Merida, but in the end the heat and humidity scared me away! Truly enjoyed your video and looking forward to seeing more of your life in Merida!

During the heat season in Mérida it is a bad idea to take long strolls under the sun beyond 11am and before 6pm... If needed make sure you have at least an umbrella. I'm glad you're OK.

I always read through comments when booking regarding the beds. Yes matrimonial beds are very small. I am just putting the finishing touches on my second Airbnb in Merida and it is two bedrooms, each with an actual king size bed with Sealy Posturepedic mattresses. A good nights sleep is paramount to good reviews and repeat guests. Thank you for including Holbox on your video. That is my next place to visit. Great video. Thank you for the Content.

Good video, it was nice to watch you walk many places I've been and I do agree Merida was a very interesting city and had
one of the best and unique gyms I've been to and yes, very very hot. Progresso was ok but not a place I could see myself
living. All in all I really liked Mexico and looking forward to spending more time there.

Strangely, Miami heat is different. Nikki and I were trying to figure it out. The best I could come up with was Miami heat bakes you from the outside. Mexico heat seems to cook you from the inside.
