For those who read on the cable the RUclipsr provided as since he didn't do his research. It's actually a very garbage cable it only outputs 720p. Look at the reviews for the cable. It's very bad. There are better cables then this one.

I never leave the house without it when I'm going to visit someone. Its just really convenient. Even when I'm just taking my switch into my bedroom, I don't have to take the dock, so thats also really cool. Do yourself a favor and buy it. You won't regret it.

Got a Switch OLED and ordered the exact cable and some similar alternatives from other videos/posts that should work. None of them are working. Tested on multiple screens with every cable. Looks like Nintendo "fixed" it and you cant use third party stuff anymore, sadly. My Switch stays in Handheld mode and you cant change it to TV mode. Guess Im going to buy a second f*ing dock and for travels it has to be handheld mode only.

I thought about that too, charging off a battery bank. Seems it could be unsafe. Because I want to bring mine when camping, to play late-night. But ill use my 500 watt battery and charge it with the supplied ac charger.
Depends on what the max draw when your switch is running. 30 watts is safe.. 45 watts is recommended. If your power bank or pd charger can output 15v/2.6a = 39 watts is brick safe assuming no overheating issues. Too many variables for a straight answer. Some cheap usb c cables not rated that high and might burn out at the connector damaging your switch or dongles or this hybrid hdmi cable. Short answer, your Anker bank is reputable and most likely ok under normal power draw/usage. Under high performance, u might want to go safe and stick with the oem nintendo brick for the time being.
Also no one ever mentions interference as well. Might short out under max performance and your audio or video feed might start to flicker. If so, disconnect asap.

I have yet to find a detailed video about someone using their switch portally (like in a car for example) Every video I watch it's got some sort of AC power for a doc accessory.. I recently bought a nice 17" monitor screen and a nicer mount that goes in between my 2 head rests for it. Its nice and sturdy. Here is my dilemma how does one use the switch to appear signal onto the screen. I have the battery banks to power the switch and monitor itself but after multiple attempts I can't find nothing about what cable I need that will work right..
That EhYoo cable is still a "dock" because it takes power. And it comes from a sketchy Chinese company. I would trust this far less than Genki or Skull and Co, as those companies have demonstrated they have done extensive R&D. Their reputation backs that up. Let me clarify some things as there is a lot of fear and misunderstanding about what is safe and what is not. You only need the official Nintendo AC adapter with the official dock, and you cannot use any other power adapter with Nintendo's dock. You are safe to use any USB-PD complaint power adapter with the Switch itself in portable mode. Third party docks may be able to use other chargers, such as a USB-PD charger, just make sure to check with them. The official Nintendo AC adapter is not USB-PD complaint, so it can't be used with anything else but the NIntendo Switch dock, or the Switch itself. If you are major paranoid you can just use the official Nintendo stuff. But otherwise, stick with the AC adapter with the official dock. And you can safely use a third party dock, just stick to known brands and stay away from the sketchy Chinese crap.

@@spcrri4796 It is possible but, only with modded/jailbroken switch lite, and your switch needs to be connected to internet. It's a bit like chromecast, I guess? The switch is basically streaming its screen towards an app you can install on your TV or computer.

nope already open the dock the new dock have a small motherboard that for now only allow better connectivity and also can get the switch to easily transfer the data instead of a simply adapter but also mean possibility of having it updated and unlock possible future feature
I bought an Eh-Yoo USB C to HDMI cable. It kinda works but it’s not stable. My screen flickers when it’s displaying on my TV screen and there are times it doesn’t read the connected cable at all. idk if my purchase was worth it or a complete waste. kinda frustrated right now. so, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

You can buy a hdmi to rca downscaler, make sure its the powered version, not the bare hdmi to rca cable. I use one to put raspberry pi hdmi output on a crt and works perfectly

It doesn’t work with switch lite. For standard switch or OLED it works, make sure you plug in standard Nintendo power adapter to hdmi end.

Nope you're wrong. It does work for the OLED. and they advertise such on Amazon. Just doesn't work with the Lite.
