My son jst gave me his Nintendo switch that he had never used after getting it as a gift of his auntie for Xmas.. he's an xbox player always had been.. now he's on PC with xbox.... so it was never used at his house... id been saving up to buy the docked switch after playing on switch lite for a few months.. n loving it...n my son gave me his instead of buying one..I bought it off my son.. wouldn't allow him to give it me for free even tho I'm his mum...!!! Anyway I've struggled n struggled to get it working on my TV...ive managed transfer my user and my save game data off switch lite to the dockable switch finally.... but getting it working on my TV.... no chance...!! Praying this will work nw...!!! 🙏🤣👌 will update in comment if it works...!!!

My brother and I have a TV that has a DVI port and my dad bought us a HDMI adapter for it. The sound wouldn't come out of the tv so with an aux cord we connected his Bluetooth speaker and it works! Just a suggestion for anyone with an older TV who's audio won't play from the TV and who happen to have a Bluetooth speaker 😁

My question is, after playing in portable mode for a couple hours and I am done for the time being and want to charge the system, if I put the switch in the dock will it automatically turn on my tv? Or is there an option to adjust that? I don’t want to put it in dock mode then my tv turns on and I need to take extra steps to turn the tv off.
Thank you for all your help, you were so helpful & thorough about teaching us how to do this. Have hooked up many systems but I was stuck on where & how to locate where to plug cables in at. I knew something was unfamiliar about underneath, just didn't know that all I had to do was pop it off, plug in cables & pop backing back on. It would really consumers of products if these companies would start being more descriptive on how to install, hookup, ect, ect. with there products in the diagrams they put on the boxes or by the putting actual instructions instead of people having to seek out other people all over the internet or by having others teach you through their pages. Not hating on people & their side hussles, I think it's great RUclips can do this. I have the problem with companies putting their responsibilities of providing consumers with full or incomplete details of how o install & use their products us consumers having to spend so much on all this tech & other material goods out there these days & leave it on consumers having to figure out all the things they keep expecting people to either just know it or seek out someone who can teach you or that you can learn from. I figured it out guys, you have to make sure the plug that charges ur system is plugged into the doc and the wall. Then I got the green light and it worked
I love the way you thoroughly explained every mention in detail and acknowledged that there are people who may or may not have the recommended requirements to get their dock working. But may get it working regardless. On an unrelated note, my girlfriend sat me down to watch this whole video while we were on work schedule then later had the audacity to say that we’re taking too long with work. Other than that, great video.

I have that problem too, nintendo just wants to make the cheapest console and overprice is with all these problems like dead pixels,the dock scratching the screen, not being able to tranfer data from 1 switch to another and the problem me and you have.

If you have several things to connect to the TV along with the Switch, I recommend getting an HMDI switcher. I bought one on Amazon that has 5 channels and I paid around $30-ish for it. I now have a DVD player, the Nintendo Switch, and 3 other video game systems connected it one TV. Switching between devices is as easy as the press if a button.

The way I figured it out is I was putting in the HDMI cable correctly, but I didnt have the charger connected to an outlet yet. Maybe try that

LASG Productionz all you need to do is go to settings, head to TV Settings in then, turn match tv power state Off. Hope this helps
