GOOD INFO... I am guessing, power is off, and the negative is on the chassis or screw on the Tcon board? also, how did you determine the Mosfet was bad? it was open?

Hello, thanks for the video, it has been very helpful. I have one of these sets, the e601i-a3 with the tcon being stamped with zc as the last two digits. Mofest is not shorted, and resistance from the diode to ground is 9.8kohm. Im assuming its likely a failed eeprom then, would you happen to have the bin file so i can try reflashing it? Thanks!
Hi, No we don't have BIN file for this model. Thx.
With a 1kohm resistance is the panel itself defective or is there a shorted cap on the board attached to the panel. Seen many sharps and sony's with bad caps on those little boards.
On 70 inch panels, we never saw any shorted caps. Smaller sizes like 40" to 55" - YES, we changed a few.
I just measured mine at 9.4k to ground on just the right side, and 1.1k on just the left side, just like Paul's. I followed all the connection boards at the edge of the screen from the center and pulled the last ribbon cable on the left edge. I was then able to measure 9.4k with both sides plugged in. Not really sure what unplugging just that board actually does. But my screen is still blank because now my 2nd T-Con board is probably dead because I didn't see this video before purchasing and installing the 2nd T-Con board. I wish I watched this video first. I watched a different video and that guy measured 12v on both output cables from the main board. Mine only measures 12v on the 51 pin cable and not the 41 pin cable. I thought my main board was bad and purchased a used board too. What a waste of silicon. I'd never purchase a Vizio TV with all the issues this brand has.
can this test be used for other TVs? or is it strictly more for just Vizio E701i-A3
I'm not sure if this will work for other models. If or when we'll get smaller size, we'll test it and update in the description of the video.
