+Brad Bater makes sense as they have am electronic throttle control the older ls1s are cable. Probably the electronics cutting the throttle.
That fly by wire makes it so delayed an dowie response. They also put abuse mode in the vz autos too. Have to spend good money on a vz just to skid it. Thats the reason i sold mine now im goin vy
+Brad Bater yeah I heard about the anti abuse in the vz, absolute joke. When you buy a v8 performance sedan you expect it to chalk tyres on the fly. I've never driven a fly by wire ls engine so I cant imagine what it'd be like. My father has a vx sv300 and that feels extremely responsive.

i hate to say it but this is some of the most boring burnouts to watch, just because you are seeing almost identical engine setups over and over again. This just felt like watching the same car go round for 3 minutes
well it says LS1 in the title, what else were you expecting? hahaha
This is what we call the "Amateur Burnout", where the Bogan Australians mash their right foot to the floor and claim it as skillful, on the other hand there is the masterclass of the likes: Garry Myers, Peter Grmusa etc, where it is a constant, high rev burnout without a limiter touch or a lift off at any point.

YES. They are.... both. Probably easier and kinder on the diff etc in an Auto. But at the end of the day, if they are Rev Limiter Bashing then there is fuck all power being produced anyway... the engine is getting cut. If you want to get a decent burnout, you need power, and you are NOT making any power on the limiter... so, shift out of first gear!
John Coops you still have more torque tho. It is better that 2nd because of torque.
Holden is axeing the Commodore next year & I'm not sure if any replacement is available next year, it's almost like Holden doesn't want me to buy their cars now because I'm not buying the Colorado.
In 2008 when I was looking for my VY SS Commodore someone in Newcastle City Holden only had a supercharged VY V6 Commodore available & I told them that I didn't want it,so I found the SS online.
My question is who thought that I'd just drive a Hyundai Lanta NOW ?
I'd have to put one of them whose driving one of them through an apprenticeship !

We do. 98 - 02 Camaro's, C5 Corvette's and the 04 - 05 GTO. All use LS1 base.
