I do appreciate your straight forward no nonsense approach to your videos ... That SG is turning into a beautiful bike ...
Thank you Michael! Much appreciated sir.
Great video Steve as usual, thank you for all your info! Wheels are awesome!
Thank you sir!
Great Video Steve, wheels look great and thanks for explaining about the belt tension procedure.
Thank you for checking it out! Glad that bit helped...always good to get that right!
Those wheels are amazing. Very informative video
Thank you robert...they turned out exactly how I thought they might. Pretty stoked about them.
Great video Steve, beautiful wheels, and belt pulley, best wishes mike United Kingdom 🇬🇧
Thank you Mike! Yes its finally all coming together!
yes really like the new wheels.
Thank you and thank you for checking it out!
Cool wheels. I was kind of surprised the belt pulley didn’t match the design like the rotors. Thanks for the content.
Youre very welcome and thank you for checking it out! Like I mentioned in the video they do have them that match however I had one already that was chrome...and with my down and out bags you will never see it anyway
@@sikbaggers Thanks for the correction!
Sinister has some beautiful wheels but just a bit above my pay grade.
They are a little more than others but man the quality is spot on!
Agreed
Beautiful bike and your right the chrome pulley is bad ass
Thank you mike!
Hey Steve, great video today. I see drums in the back, don’t tell me you play!
Thank you! And yes...since I was about 8 years old...Im not sure I got any better over the years but its a nice stress reliever
@@sikbaggers Bang on Bother LOL
Great video
thank you sir!
Steve, Been using Permatex Anti Seize Lube Brush on. Good for 1600 F. Use it on all hot items on bike. Works well on axels. Dissimilar metals. Ride Safe
That will work too! Love that stuff and im out! nee to re order!
Thanks!
Thank you David! Much appreciated sir!
Awesome looking set up. You seem to put the products on that always match correctly.
Thank you!
Wow those rims look awesome Steve. Thanks for the video it was very informative
Youre very welcome Max and thank you for checking it out!
IF YOU ARE LAZY LIKE MYSELF AND YOUR WANT TO GET BACK TO RIDING . PUT A JACK UNDER THE FRAME AND REMOVE THE SHOCK BOLTS AND LOWER THE BIKE SO THE AXLE CAN BE REMOVED WITHOUT REMOVING THE EXHAUST .
that works in most instances but if the bike has lowering blocks of any kind it usually doesnt work.....i hate taking all that stuff off so ill try anything before I do lol
Defiantly some cool looking rims Steve
Thank you Xan! Much appreciated sir
TY Steve whoa that’s nice
yeah man...got her out in the sun yesterday for a ride and man she blings!
@@sikbaggers yes sir shinning
What you got going with those old wheels sure could use a pair for my 21 king
already spoken for...sorry about that
Stunning wheels bud!
thank you!
Beautiful wheels
thank you!
awesome video, looks like a lot of elbow grease to keep them polished.
eeh keep a good coat of wax on them and it makes it easier to clean. I have a full blacked out bike and those wheels take the same amount of time to clean
Hey Steve, I’ve been out of the loop for a little while and I see that you changed your silver street glide to blue and I know you’re a big advance black guy so my question is is advance black doing the down and out rear fenders and bags now
They are releasing the Bagger Boss kit today sold by dealers and will be on thew website on the 8th. Includes heavy fiberglass bags, fender and side covers. comes with curved LED plate frame and Phantom sequential brake turn signals
Great job!!!
Thank you!
I see it’s been a year. Do you still like Sinister as far as quality of components and especially their chrome quality? So far they’re on top of my list, but reviews I find online are either good or very bad and the bad reviews are many years old now and I hope they rectified some of these issues over the years. I’m looking at their “new” XLace wheels for my “cholo” style road king. I think they’ll offer the old school I want to retain, but with some new school flare.
Im still running Sinister on the this SG and my cholo softail...I have a video on that fat spokes as well. Love them! No issues at all like the previous issues I had with DNA wheels. Everything from the fit to the finish is superior!
@@sikbaggers Thanks I appreciate it. I’m pulling the trigger Monday morning.
awesome videos you make my problem is with a 2020 police bike the wheels
are 17'' front and 16'' rear and i cannot find light weight wheels for this thing
Thank you ron...they do make 17 inch wheels and of course 16..thats pretty common rear wheel size on touring. And just because you have a 17 up front doesnt mean you cant change that to a 19 or 21 with no other modifications needed. We have even done a 18 fat tire on a police bike so your choices are not limited. Check out the drop down menus on wheels size and youll see 17" in there.
Thanks Steve. 👍🏽🤠 8/18/23
Youre very welcome!
Nice 👍🏾
thank you kenneth!
Hey Steve. perhaps I missed it but did you go with 19" in the front or 21" for the new sinister wheel?
Hey pete...got the 21 front and the oem size 16 rear.
As always, great install and insights. What size front wheel did you go with…21 or 23”?
Thank you! This bike has a 21 front 16 rear. 23" or bigger you will need to rake your front end
@@sikbaggers Thanks. The 21 looks great
What happened to installing the 200 on the rear? When the 2009 baggers came with the 180, the fad was the 200 mm swap.
its fine if you are not running air ride...which this bike has..too big and easy to bottom out on large bumps
@@sikbaggers The 200 wasn't any taller, almost 7/8 of an inch wider.
@@sikbaggers the 200 is the same dismeter, just about 3/4 of an inch wider than the 180.
Hey Steve, I have the flush mount axle I installed on my 18 road glide. The axle manufacturer states 40-45 ft lbs torque. You stated 70-75 ft lbs. Should I follow my service manual even if it's not a harley flush axle?
Hey frank then yes use what the manufacturer stated for the torque
Love the channel!! You have spoken of Willy Shiny before how do you get in touch with them? I have tried calling but vm full. Emailed several times and now response. I would like to do a wheel swap for my 05 Ultra
I only have the number listed on the website 1 (909) 815-4139
What Handlebars are on that SG? Perfect!
They are the 10" LA Choppers Twin Peaks, they are really popular set of bars....super easy to install and pull wires through. They have them in different sizes and chrome or black I got them from amazon amzn.to/48xMFFR
@@sikbaggers When I went to that link, it says it does not fit a 2014 Street Glide. They should fit correct?? Thank you for all you do, Bro. You have been a tremendous help to me.
@@DavidHolguin562 thats the oens I have on my 14....I dont know the year of your bike...those will fit a lot of bikes but you may search for your year bike
@sikbaggers it also is a 2014 SG
Love my sinister wheels but did not have the same luck with customer support. Wanted to know about the need of axle spacers and what size bolts to use on hd stock pulley. Wanted to know this in advance so I wouldn’t have to wait around with the bike on the lift. Stock size pulley bolts are too long and shimming brakes and axle spacers isn’t uncommon. Emails ignored and call eventually returned but with no real information.
Thats unfortunate..,.ive had great dealing with them...maybe they just werent sure on the OEM size? But as far as shimming that cant be guessed at...need to mount it up and see where your at and then shim if needed.
@@sikbaggers keep up the good work, great channel! Love my Sinister wheels.
What size tires you have on your sled? I have a 14 street thinking about going with a bigger front tire
130/60/21 front and 180/65/16 on rear
Thanks
Steve what rear fender is that it doesn’t look like advan dominator fender
It is an Advanblack...stay tuned it will be released in a few days. Watch my advanblack youtube channel. Its the Bagger Boss Kit. All fiberglass, side covers, fender, saddlebags, LED plate frame, LED Phantom sequential brake turn signal strips. Ill do a feature on my channel as well soon!
I'll buy the rims you took off for my 15 Ultra Limited, let me know!
Already spoken for sorry mate
What made you go away from the DNA Wheels? Any issues with them?
No issues with the chrome ones. Ive just always wanted these wheels here. The cards just fell out right and I had to get them. Had several issues with the DNA spoke wheels though...that was a sea of fun lol
What model are the wheels? Diabolical? thanks
yes they are the diabolical wheels
I cant find a free service manual on line for my 2015 street glide ? where do i find one ?
here is one on my google drive...open it and then on the top right corner you can down load it to your device..phone, pc etc. drive.google.com/file/d/1-ZGa3ZwXOC-sKAGbx1_EUlsqeb2Gskvp/view?usp=sharing
Thanks
Dose it matter if it's Nickle antiseize
Or Brons anti seze
doesn't matter either one will work great!
Trikes can they hook us up too
BOOM! Yes they can - sinisterwheel.com/sinister-gallery/trike/
Hey Bro how much for the Enforcer wheels
Give Willy Shiny a call and talk to Joe...he can hook you up! Those wheels were badass...I just went with a 21 and had to change them.
What is the name of those sinister wheels
They the Diabolical found here sinisterwheel.com/product/diabolical-custom-motorcycle-wheel/
What type of headlight you have
Its the Vision X from Ciro..here is the link shrsl.com/1xk3p its one of the best I have installed. Vision X is a huge LED headlight manufacturer ..I also have their light cannons on my RG on the crash bar....insanely bright.
@@sikbaggersthank you
Do they still hold the tire on?
not sure what you mean frank?
@@sikbaggers think about it a while
@frankfurther3828 got way more important thing to do than play word games on youtube man..if you have a legit question please let me know ..more than happy to help
@@sikbaggers Sure: How much did you spend on the wheels?
Whats happening Steve, you got some rims laying around you wanna sale?
already spoken for sir....sorry about that
@@sikbaggers Steve quick question, I'm trying to put a extended rear fender on my 2011 road king, but I want one with the tribar light built into the fender, any suggestions on who sales that? Thanks man
👍✌
thank you for checking it out!
I'll keep spoke. I wouldn't put those rims on a bicycle!
Sinister sells spoke wheels too! To each his own pal.
To each their own. Nothing wrong with stock wheels. I prefer to spend money where it really matters.
Absolutely! Everyone has their own personal preferences when it comes to modifying their bike, and there is nothing wrong with sticking with stock wheels if that's what you prefer. It's important to spend your money where it matters most to you and what will enhance your riding experience. Thank you for sharing your perspective, it's always great to hear different opinions and approaches to motorcycle customization.
You keep getting or is it just me
I think your sentence was unfinished "You keep getting or is it just me" if you mean to say, you keep getting fatter, or is it just me then the answer is yes..yes i am lol
@@sikbaggers I meant like bigger as you workout more? Don’t look fat to me lol.
@@tuwhelzreally741 WELL ITS BEEN ROUGH WINTER FOR SURE..ME AND THEM OROES HAVE A LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIP LOL
