Classical music and Duo-arts will always sound terrific when played correctly on this instrument, but i also like to ad modern songs to my titles ,as it helps bring in the younger generation to learn and enjoy player music.By posting songs that they can relate too and know , it helps more people learn and talk about players and helps keep them alive.
I don't have one either and have the same ambition as you. I looked on ebay a while back, and you can find a pianola on there ranging from £500-£10,000. Quite expensive, but the prices will only go up from there as they get older and more rare.

I'm looking into getting a webber player piano or maybe i should call it a pianola, But was wondering what 'duo art' stood for. The one that i have it totally pnuematic and is power with your feet.
Now is the time for Americans to get player pianos back in their homes for mostly free of charge. So many fine old instruments are being hauled off to local landfills and "dumped" like household garbage! Such ignorance abounds . I bet that 1966 Chevy Chevelle collectors today realize how many of their priceless gems were sent to the car crusher 30-40 years ago before the "Baby Boomers" suddenly re-discovered" them 20 years ago! Player pianos did make a comeback in the 1950's- 80's but have been forgotten again, sadly for electronic keyboards and smart phones! Sad.Perfect family "interactive" pianos for house bound families right now. SO much fun. Keeps the kids away from 24/7 "screen time".
oh that is beautiful! now i want a Pianola. these instruments seems to sound better with time. if anyone can find the sheet music for this exact arrangement that would be greatly appreciated.
You have to take in account that this is a Rock song and not a Ragtime or Foxtrot.If any more notes where added (trills,runs/steps)the song would lose its general rhythm of flow.
Im happy to re-film this on my 1911 Steinway once back from restoration . When i did this in 2008 the camera was the best i could do at that time , and HD cameras have come along way since then :)

@@PiotrBarcz Hi , i actually brought off Ebay at the time , it wasnt cheap but as fully restored was worth the money i paid . I had it quite a few years myself and i was moving house and the original owner contacted me if i would sell it back to him , we made a deal and thats where it is now.

If you have the patience to learn it.. I've heard you can get a dot matrix printer and a puncher and convert midi files to sheet music to print on the dot matrix printer and punch out yourself and make your own rolls..

what? I got mine for free. it doesnt work but you can get working ones for like 300
If you look around, you can find working ones with the piano rolls for under $100.00
You can pick one up at a relatively low price on trading post websites.

Ok they were not originally called pianola the y were called player pianos so I can't stand when someone calls the pianola
The terms "Pianola" and "Player Piano" have always been interchangeable. The first Pianolas were separate units pushed up to a regular piano.
As this is an Aeolian player action ,its trade mark is pianola , all other brands are player pianos as the name was a patent to Aeolian.

Its most likely no longer on there books to order , but its worth checking ebay and craigslist as ive seen 2nd hand ones sold there.
