NCC staff demonstrate manual control of invasive common buckthorn, including introduction, identification, control methods, restoration notes and other considerations.
Thanks for the video! We have lots here along the trails in Saskatchewan. This will help me get rid of them. I plan on using the girdling method in the spring and summer before the berries are mature. Also pulling young plants.

Great video, thank you for your work. Would like to see more control methods and identification of invasive plants in the area.
Thank you for the video. Together we can get a control over this aggressive plant!

Is there any edicinaj value in buckthon tree?
I there any medicinal value in buckthon tree?
You asked so you know the answer, it's something big money definitely don't want you knowing.
I was told that goats love eating buckthorn and if youkeep moving them around they will graduate defeat them
They eat all the natives too. They don't eat the big ones. Goats are trendy and nonsense.
Goats piss on their own beards, they are anything but trendy xD@@midwestplantgeeks8643
The process is correct but way too tedious if you really have a buckthorn problem. Chemical control is much more efficient.
No kidding chop/drop/treat hack/squirt girdle once/treat
