Routing the power wire through that grommet worked great. It took a little work to get that rubber block out of there, but I couldn't find any other spot to drill through. Thanks for the video!
I don't know how long I've been looking for this video (Couple months?)- but I am GLAD I found it! I was going to give up and drill till I saw this! Putting in a different type of radio, but same type of run. THANKS!!!
What is a 50 amp fuse going to do for a amp??? Put a 200 or bigger depending on amp! By the wat 2 bolts remove the water reservoir and then right near bottom of it use hole saw and cut a hole and you will not hit anything!! You can order a bulk head wire gasket on amazon for around &10!!! Zero guage runs no problem!! Worked perfectly in my 08 impala!! If you do it correctly all wires will run behind carpet and not show!! Add 2 battery in back please fuse at both ends for safety!!! Remember you need a big enough fuse to transfer at least what your alt put out!! Which is 125 amps for stock!! However if bigger fuse will help flow energy from rear battery for extra starting power if needed!!!
you need a diff adapter for impala w/ bose system because of the steering wheel controls. im looking at the axxess GMOS-LAN-01 on crutchfield i have an 07 impala lt w/out bose, its $129.99. but im going to run a kenwood double din reciever. i already have ran an adapter from my factory stereo to be able to use amp and subs. but if you want your system to sound good you need to get the full adapter and aftermarket in dash receiver. other wise you won't be able to access your subs or amps full
@@chrismcmurray8140 how much wire you think I would need to run wire for my second battery? I have an 02 Impala so I have a grommet on the passenger. I already have a wire running from the stereo battery behind the seat to the battery in the front but idk what's a safe amount of feet of wire to buy
I DON'T NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THE FACTORY STEREO INTO A SYSTEM I NEED TO KNOW WHAT PARTS!........ I NEED TO INSTALL A AFTERMARKET STEREO IN!!!!!!!
This is exactly what I was looking for! You didn't leave anything out and used very clear explanations. Thank you sir! My hat goes off to you.
