My '89 LXi saved my life 20yrs ago. An elderly woman feel asleep behind the wheel and rear ended me. Replaced that car with an '88 CRX Si in June of 2000. Had a Gude "Bullfrog" race camshaft and all the bolt-ons before Fast and Furious came out a year later.
The definition of the word prelude (noun: an action or event serving as an introduction to something more important.) explains why Honda used that model as the one which introduced their newest technology. 😉
It was an amazing car. My 2 younger bros rebuilt an engine, and the brother that knew more about cars was pretty impressed. He said the prelude was like a hybrid between 90s and 00s honda. He saw some rsx and ep3 in there
That Type R clone is more impressive than the real thing. Maybe not worth as much to a "collector", but arguably just as well built and certainly cooler.
I just sold an 03 in Michigan. Bought it off the original lady owner with 42k miles. Stored each winter for $14,500! Flipped it the next day for 19,500
My dad had an 88 Acura Legend V6L. My friend had the same red CRX Si in 88, I had 89 Civic Si hatch...loved them...Good Type R clone (back seats still GS-R) ...I had a 98 Type R Champion white...loved it. This episode brought back good memories!
@@onelove381 The steering wheel was the same on regular Integras with no cruise control (RS and SE) and the USDM/CDM Type R. The JDM Momo steering wheel is so much better.

Interestingly enough, the discussion about the head rests not being correct sent me down a rabbit hole to see if there were others that came without the Si-specific head rests. While searching, I discovered that this Si was actually sold on BaT 1 year before I bought it-I had no idea. It looked pretty rough when it sold, but the current head rests were sold with the car at that time (8/2017). The car also had a gold-pinstripe at one point-glad that was removed!

I am super biased, so the 90-91 3rd gen Prelude is my favorite, especially since I have been supporting them since 2006. But I do love all the rest as well.
Hey boss i see many people collecting the 2004 to 2008 Acura tsx and they are getting popular in Florida and bc is type r k24 dtune from the factory Honda dirty little and it will be nice if you made a video about them bc many drag racing teams use the tsx engine

After the group that wanted to modify everything on these cars back in the day, it seems there's now so many more coming along looking for perfectly preserved stock versions. Thanks for the vid. So fun to watch and reminisce.
What an amazing collection. My favorite is definitely the Red EM1, but its definitely closely followed by the Red '88 CRX si. Great job on the Yellow ITR clone though. I just bought a white '97 Integra RS in great shape, clean title, that I will be doing the same to.

I own 2 identical 6th generation honda accord EX v6 sedans... I absolutely love my cars. Mine has 245k miles and is a 2000 dark green with tan leather interior. My wife's has 320k miles is a 1998 dark green with tan leather interior. They both have their little issues that I am working on ironing out but man do they run good. Wonderful cars.

I worked as a honda technician in Australia from 88 onwards, theres slight differences between usm and Audm. These are the best built cars honda ever made. 90 gem hondas are truly awesome, just like this collection. Did pre deliveries and in oz, no honda came fitted with air con, it was an accessory. Fitted aircons to all but the legend. They did this to keep it below lux car tax pricing. Honda couldn't keep up with supply of front and rear bars on 4ws as people weren't used to the steering geometry. The type r had no aircon in Australia

1990 Accord Ex, my parents (and family's) first Honda ever, after switching from GM for their whole lives before that. that car started the passion for Hondas I have today. My family has now owned over 25 different Hondas over the last couple decades and sill do to this day. I hope to be back in one very soon (I had to get myself a pickup truck for work and unfortunately the Ridgeline was NOT an option for me)...amazing condition these cars are in!
in 2006, my 6th grade friends, my two Russians buddies would not stop talking about the Integra. I never understood why they liked that specific car back then. Cant believe 6th graders where working on there own cars back then, they had it dismantled trying to get it working, lol wut, these guys where something, they where brothers and they even used to make guns in there back yard for fun.

1990 was not the last year of the Acura Legend Coupe. They made them through 1995 I think, although It was a newer body style.
