    This case is heartbreaking and infuriating.

  • @Mott2

    Its the fact that Alex was so adamant he was not at the kennels yet you can clearly hear his voice in the snapchat video at the kennels. Paul was in the kennel likely out of eye sight from Alex so he had no clue Paul recorded a video and his voice was on it. Why lie about that? I think he is guilty.

    • @lexooo

    • @margaretk1962
      @margaretk1962 Год назад +40

      Agreed - he didn’t know his son was taking the video. In my view it is very damning - if I was on the jury this would wipe away any other possible questions /doubts the defence is trying to raise. Why would he lie if, as he suggests, he wanted to cooperate with the investigation - the only explanation that fits is - he is guilty as sin however i think the prosecution theory that he did it to distract attention from his financial crimes is thin - it might have been a factor but I read someone else comment that Maggie was very moral and would probably have left him once his crimes were revealed (as they were about to be). I also read that the bank who had loaned him $$ without paperwork ( that enabled him to replace funds he had stolen from a client and delay the discovery of his criminal activity, if only for a short time) was pressing him to get Maggie to sign mortgage documents as this was how he said he was securing the loan, and he couldn’t ask her to do so without exposing himself. I think it was the confluence of all these matters plus his narcissistic inability to have his family see what a crook he was that led him to murder them - just lucky that the other son wasn’t home. He is a family annihilator in my opinion. I hope he is found guilty but I have a bad feeling that he’s going to get off - people in the jury may give him the benefit of doubt because of his family’s history in the area.

      Alex suddenly realized after calling 911 or right after killing Maggie and Paul, there may be something on Paul's iPhone that could be damning to him. He searched for it then seeing he can't open Paul's iPhone for lack of a password. He felt forced to then unsolicitedly admit to going into Paul's pockets to retrieve his iPhone to account for his fingerprints on the iPhone. Alex was also giving up possible suspects and motives. Most people would be too overwhelmed with grief to go down the route because it seems so detached. As if he is going lead an investigation for law enforcement moments after seeing his wife and son with their brains shot out.
      Alex: "Don't worry officers, I got this."

    My theory: Alex and Maggie were coming apart. She wanted to be at the beach and not with him so much anymore. He had to almost beg to get her back to Moselle that night. Blanca and her sister had to convince her to go back.. As for Paul, there is video the night of the boat accident that showed Paul drunk , rude and uncaring about Mallory being lost overboard. The civil action, not to mention the criminal action was going to cost Alex millions, which we now know he didn't really have. That is why Maggie had to go; that is why Paul had to go.

    Right at the beginning of Paul's video that is minutes before the murders, Paul says, "Hi dad". He says it low because he's trying to get Cash under control but he greets his father anyway even if Alex didn't hear Paul do it. Alex was there the moment the triggers were pulled, he lied about where he really was, he used the hour before going to mom's house to clean up and dispose of the evidence that he could, and just like Chris Watts, Alex ON THE SURFACE looks like a good guy, husband, and dad.....right before he kills his family.

    My ex was the nicest guy but behind closed doors it was different. One time we had a great night around a bon fire with our neighbors, lots of stories & laughing until we went home. Once inside, my ex grabbed me around my waist forcefully & with intent so I told him he could at least be nice about it, which didn't go over so well. After a fun night, I am now being called derogatory names & being told I'm cheating because I asked him to be gentle, his anger just grew & grew until he was on top of me, punching me non-stop. At this point I am unrecognizable but the scariest part was hearing him say, "I can't let people see you like this", which I truly believe he would have killed me had he not grown tired allowing me to get out from under him. I ran, grabbed the cordless phone & locked myself in my bathroom wedging myself between the bathroom door & the bath tub so he couldn't get in & I called the police. The moral of my story is, not everyone is who they seem & projects to the world.

    When you work with someone that is considered an expert or professional, you look to them to answer questions with confidence, detail and specifics.
