- YIELD: 12 JUMBO SIOPAO
STEAMING TIME: 20 MINUTES AT MEDIUM HIGH HEAT. AFTER 20 MINUTES DO NOT OPEN TYE STEAMER LID FOR 5 MINUTES.
INGREDIENTS
500 grams all purpose flour (3 and 1/3 cup)
2 tsp. instant dry yeast
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 and 1/4 cup water (280-300 ml.)
1/3 cup shortening or 1/4 cup oil
filling
500 grams ground pork (skin removed)
3 stalks of onion leeks
1/2 part of large onion
1 pc. chorizo
1 tsp. garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
siopao sauce
500 ml. (2 cups) water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. liquid seasoning (optional)
1/4 cup cassava flour or cornstarch
1 tsp. garlic
black pepper

The colour of the flour ay depende kung ito ay na bleached or hindi .mostly ng flour sa Southeast Asia ay na bleached kaya maputi, unlike sa UK at EU na natural ang colour ng flour ( yellowish) dahil illegal ang gumamit ng bleach.Kaya kahit masahin mo ito ng masahin hindi ito puputi 😅
Oo Tama dto rin sa lugar ko kahit lagyan mo pa nang vinegar ang tubig sa pag steam hindi pa rin puti ang siopao dahil sa harina.
Meron dto sa Germany, pinoy ang gumawa ng siopao pero maputi ang dough nya at hindi dumidilaw at saka malambot.
tama ka bro. pati dito sa Australia unbleached din ang harina kaya di rin maputi ang siopao ko, kaya doon ako bumibili ng harina sa asian groceries .

ang galing nyo po. tinry ko kagabi sinundan ko lahat ng sinabi nyo ang nahirapan ako yung pag steam kc sabi mo ilagay ang siopao sa hindi kumukulong tubig tapos ilagay sa medium heat and steam for 20 mins. saan po istart ang timer pag kumukulu na o pag salang palang po. kc yung ginawa ko kagabi pumalpak hindi pa masyadong luto and nagshrink. thank you sana mabigyan nyo po ng time para sagutin kc ito yung paborito naming magpapamilya.
