- Many people ask about increasing the speed of their punches, when really they just need to stop telegraphing! This fun partner drill forces you to minimizing telegraphing, which in turn makes you throw "faster" and land more punches.

Yessss! I love the vids , would be really cool to see more boxing videos 😁
Boxing is one dimensional
AceWolf Gaming boxing is very good but you want to be able to use all your bodies weapons!
Right, I'm with you on that, love Boxing more over MMA..
Nah
I think a lot of people underestimate the effect it can have on your opponent to land a punch they didn't see coming. Hit them with a few of those and you can have them on the back foot easily. It's not all about power.
100% fucking percent. Ppl out here focusing too much on power when in reality effectiveness and landing punches comes from precision on technique and non telegraphing as Michael Jai White says “Technique beats speed”
Jeff Chan needs to be featured on your channel man, he's awesome and you guys could produce some great collabs together if youre in Canada

I do this drill pretty often. I like the way you did it with the shoulders stopping before they pinch because it becomes too fast a with them that people are going for when they do the drill.
I’m very new to the channel but I’m very impressed. I learn a lot from the small amount I have seen so far. Thank you for sharing knowledge.
Right when I needed this lmao. Thanks for sharing this drill 👍🏻🙏🏻
micheal jai white did something like this with kimbo slice. Will try this drill out later today
I was going to comment this
Amazing vid Shane!!! It's the basic stuff that I tend to forget when trying to punch the pad or the heavy bag or even the guy himself.
Hi Shane, can you please do a boxing workout video for weight loss. I started boxing and feel slugish and slow, i would love some work out drills, like a boxing workout circuit. Love the videos 👍🏽 🥊🥊🙌🏽
Mate if u skip , that is so good, and run
@@deanogilligan5060 cheers, i am starting out and can do about 1.15min before my legs get tired and i have started jogging but a mile a day to start with as it takes me 20min but its knackering. I get what you're saying, just got to keep consistent at it, can't believe that just doing a boxing class can test me at all levels strength, endurance and stamina. I'm definitely enjoying it though. 🥊💯🥊
Basically I have to master Ultra Instinct 😎

Great video and cool little drill here Shane! I'd like to see a video on the "muay thai march" and the "stance dance" as with being in constant motion can also mask shots and cancels out any telegraphing shots there may be, being in constant motion also helps to promote fakes to lead into true shots.
Colby Covington vs. Robbie Lawler
Yes
Your cousin's broken ps2 nice channel name
Covington won with pace. People criticise him for being pillowfisted but the only way he scores 20 takedowns and throws 500 punches in a fight is by not putting his muscle into them, just touching you up constantly
Lance Biggums very Nick Diaz like. Except Nick would still put power into shots at the end of the combo.
Standard drill and technique in JKD (where the right hand is the lead hand). Cool to see it covered here!
You guys are awesome! Your videos helped me a lot in my sparring and in my fights, thanks a lot I am forever thankful
Dope technique. Excellent content thank you 🙏
Back in the day, we just called this game "hot hands" 😁
I like tuat you thouroughly explain it using examples and stuff
Very similar to the hammer principle drill, nice work!
Can't wait to try this out when I train next!
Wow this is a Great Drill. Simply too
Can you put together a video on how to put together an effective conditioning and MMA schedule.
Great little training tip. Looks fun too. Cheers
Mjw made a vid talking to kimbo slice about this
Today is a new chance to do better than yesterday
This guy looks like he is Fabricio Werdum's son.
Good vid, as always, Shane. On a totally different subject, have you ever thought of wearing a green hat and, say, carrying a bow and arrow?
@00:35 lmfao I’m done 😂💰
Great tips, thank you man.
Awesome video keep up the great work
Here's a better idea: telegraph intentionally to throw your opponent off, and then don't throw that shot that you telegraphed. Exanple: show the straight right, load up, then jump in with a gazelle punch left lead hook. It will be loaded up already just from showing that right hand and turning your hips into it a bit
Insightful as always. 🙏
!!!!!!!!!!!!Michael j White said this years a go!!!!!!!!!! >:0
Yea your right, but it's probably been done way before Micheal too so thought shit I guess
Vince's hand speed is...wait I was just standing toe to toe a second ago, how'd I get down here?
I remember Michael Jai White shared his views on this with Kimbo Slice. Very good breakdown and even from different distance was still able to hit his target with the left or right hand. But then again, he is Michael Jai White
To my mind, once you master your own body(minimize giving away your strategy through tells), then you can compensate the loss of power in quick sure-hits, with distracting and rapid hits to prep an alpha strike out of nowhere.
But, this is only an opinion from an imaginative viewer, who has never been in a fight, I could be wrong.
Also, I'd surmise you shouldn't distract yourself with focus on yourself, and learn to read your opponent as well.
Not exactly sure what an alpha strike is haha. But you're on to something. Check out Nick Diaz, he kinda does what you're describing. Throws constant weaker but persice punches and mixes in random power shots when the opponent isn't expecting it.
@@kvee6840 What I mean by "alpha strike", is a fight-ender, a KO shot. I'm a bit of a gamer, I first heard "alpha strike" in the MMORPG City Of Heroes. Alpha Strike was the most damaging, most powerful power that, if it didn't KO the enemy, it dropped their hit points significantly(usually to where a series of lesser shots should finish the job quickly.
And ty☺.
Shane is in funny mood today
Actually it's night here in India
@JAILEN ROBINSON thanks for noticing but I would recommend same to you mate 👍
nice
Yeah also here in Italy
i’m here for the longer hair, ok shane i see you
Great drill, thanks. Could you please do a video on the liver punch? Thanks
Good advice.. however I believe in false telegraphing and don't believe telegraphing is bad so long as you're in control of what's being relayed
Feinting is good, yes!
Yeah I’ll say don’t not telegraph to the point where you can’t do it like then right hook naturally takes more than the jab so it’ll need a bit more
We gonna need you for the raid
I think you can use telegraphing to your advantage, try to decieve opponent with fake shots.
Micheal White did a video with Kimbo Slice about this same technique years ago.
Have you ever thought of a collab with coach Anthony?
Dr. Beau did something good to you.
I have a big issue with telegraphing the cross and rear hook, I started to focus on it during bag rounds but I still have a lot of work to do.
i feel this. i throw my lefts with speed and try to land the shot perfect everytime. with my right i try to land the shot with speed, perfection and blast the bag. But if im blasting the bag, in an actual fight im most likely missing and gassing myself. This is when i realize im losing my technicality and i reset.
Did you come up with this drill watching Kimbo and Michael Jai white?

Love u sir.
Wasn't it the main fist of JKD that Bruce is explaining it in his book?
Thanks
Let's gooooooo!!!!!!
Shane, can you do a video incorporating rhythm/head movement along with not telegraphing. Since in boxing, i usually "sway" my head/hands/shoulders from side to side to avoid being in my opponent's centre line. Thanks
I've heard that if you drop your hand slightly before punching the punch is harder to telegraph
Daniel Bamsey maybe but wouldn't a smart fighter get wise to lowering the hand and use that to time a counter?
@@thedogfather-yu2ob very true
When will the fighttips hybrid mma gloves comeback i need it tsk huhuhu hope for a new stock soon
Shoulders stop moving, not a great habit to get into whilst in sparring or a bout. Man see your shoulders stop moving and step out way not to get hit. Can't faint a punch with your shoulders still. Not a bad drill to do, but could be a bad habit to pick up.
When are those Hybrid gloves restocking Shane??

i from India and i'd like to pursue MMA career.what should i do to train in America?
Head to a local gym or look up some MMA classes near you, I guess?
@@kexon2 Wasnt that kinda obvious lol
I mean your going to have to get enough money to travel to America and then land a decent job too. Probably avoid any big cities like New York or L.A since the rent is so expensive. I would advise going to somewhere like Texas or something, I’m not really an expert on mma gym or rent geography in America so take this with a grain of salt. If you have enough money after the plane ticket you could try to get some training in real estate, it gets you a ton of money and you don’t need a degree. If you do want to become a real estate agent I recommend watching Tom ferry, I’ve heard good things about him. Good luck on getting money for the plane ticket though.
I take it you want to be in the UFC? Train in local gyms, fight in local promotions. If there isn't one in India, try a neighbouring country. The stable route is by locally building your skills and name. Maybe then sign with a promotion where fighters tend to move on to ONE, or sign to ONE directly if they reach out to you and you're ready for the jump. Easier to angle for American promotions from the bigger Asian promotions like ONE and Rizin. OR if you can somehow get a visa and work permit to fight in America, do that and join the smaller promotions like LFA, Cage Fighter, etc. build a reputation there and UFC/Bellator will come knocking.
And usually to get to the skill level you need to get into the big leagues you need at least one striking coach, one grappling coach, and a team to train and improve with
U made a sparring with rolly?

Try that against a BJJ guy and you’ll be on your a55 with arms around your neck in no time.
