    Michael Jai White is using indiegogo to raise the money, to make the film "The Outlaw Johnny Black" go to theoutlawjohnnyblack.com help him , because if you ever want to see "Blood and Bone 2" and "Black Dynamite 2", this is the only way it will happen. That is with your support.

      His net worth is 3.5 million. I don't think he needs the money, it's called investment. If the movie is good we the fans will pay to see it and he will make money. If the movie is trash then he doesn't deserve our money.

    There were whole schools of kung fu where nobody could do a punch that wasn't telegraphed.

    • @OhCrxzeh
      @OhCrxzeh 2 года назад +34

      Well… Kung Fu is not really fighting if you think about it. It‘s an art form and traditional. But in terms of real fighting? It‘s pretty much worthless. Chinese people themselves say it - it‘s just tradition.

    • @xyaeiounn
      @xyaeiounn 2 года назад +53

      @@OhCrxzeh Everything that isn't 'trying to kill someone else' is art form and traditional. Don't shoot for a takedown on someone who's willing to rip out your eyes. MMA competitors wear groin guards because those bouts would end right quick if you tried any of that crap without them.
      Kung-fu started as killing and turned to stylized crap because Confucian values really despise a fighting as a hobby. A man is supposed to have better things to do than look 'tough' and fight for money.
      Even so, you can still get all your teeth knocked out by a kung-fu master if you make a habit of assuming ALL kung-fu is garbage. These shitbird masters you see getting caned are the ones that take dumb challenges.

      @@OhCrxzeh Do you know the ruleset at all? I mean AT ALL? Because the list of things you can't strike with, or do, is pretty damn long which means it's a SPORT.
      Please don't make a fool of yourself saying MMA is "real life combat", you get immediately disqualified and removed from the whole SPORT if you break the rules too often or too egregiously.
      Oh, and those choreographies with the crouching tiger? They're basically shadow-boxing rehearsal for attacks to the eyes, throat, small joints, groin, you know, all those things not allowed in SPORT martial arts.

    • @OhCrxzeh
      @OhCrxzeh 2 года назад +7

      @@xyaeiounn: do YOU realise why these „rules“ are there (Which they are by NOW by the way, in the UFC, where before there were pretty much no rules and no weightclasses when it started)? There‘s no eye-gauging, no attacking the genitals, maybe no 12-6 elbows. But that is pretty much it. The absolut basics of rules were applied, in order to have more entertaining and honorable fights. That still means EVERYTHING else is allowed.
      My main point is and was: MMA is multiple times more effective in a real fight, than Kung Fu. Do you really want to argue that? Just look up any KungFu master fighting against a trained MMA fighter. There you will find your answer.

      That technique that MJW was teaching was absolutely spot-on, too. The moment I saw this clip YEEEARS ago, I immediately knew what Michael was going to teach Kimbo because of my own background. Ultimately, the fastest way between two points is a straight line, and if you don't want anyone to know an attack is coming, you obviously need to be as efficient as is possible.
      Measure, technique, timing. But "speed" can vary, obviously. :)

      Valhalla? Taken far too soon? With respect, like every human being, Kimbo Slice returned to his Lord the Most High precisely when our Lord determined so. The Most Great created all things with predestination(qadr). As far as Valhalla, this is a lie about the after life and isn’t backed by any truthful trace of knowledge or scripture. Allah tells us that there is only Paradise and Hellfire, nothing else. The believers will have Paradise as a final abode while the disbelievers will have the Fire as a final abode. The Quran is the revelation from the Lord of the worlds. My channel has a playlist of the personal favorite Quran recitations in English translation for listeners. Check it out In Sha Allah( God-Willing) you’ll be overcome with awe with the speech of our Master. There’s no deity worthy of worship except Him in truth alone without equals or helpers. We have no sustainer or guardian other than Allah, the Most Merciful, who has made the path to His pleasure and eternal Paradise straight and clear. May Allah guide us all

It's the distance travelled and less jerky movement that makes it hard to react. As far as his explanation of a car in front of you, your eyes do infact detect the distance/size change when they brake. So he's wrong. Maybe some people are better than others but if you're used to mimicking the speed of vehicles in front of you, you practiced this ability enough to know. Someone teaches a technique, but not from a know-it-all attitude and with a willingness to share. And others pay close attention, recognizing in all humility the value of what is being taught here, thus being teachable. There's a shared admiration here for useful techniques and an overall atmosphere of benevolence.

    I Love how Kimbo is a Great student, you can see him really listening and not trying to add or act as if he knows already. No matter where youre at in life you can always learn something.

  • @lsa2953
    @lsa2953 3 года назад +191

    This technique he is teaching Kimbo is the same technique GGG applies into his jab. That's why he lands the jab way more than any other active boxer today. His jab is so consistent and very effective in its power he rocks his opponents head back every time it lands as if it was a straight right hand. And it all comes from his body posture of maintaining his arm/left shoulder facing directly into his opponents face and NOT making a face gesture signing that he's about to strike also he never exposes his torso or legs gaining the power and leverage he needs to land the jab with such accuracy. I like to call this technique the "stinging strike" as something so sneaky, swift, straightforward and with very much power.

      Actually, Bruce Lee was first i ever saw punch like that. Bruce also said extend left and right fist side by side, one regular fist one corkscrew. The corkscrew is several inches longer, its the way the shoulder is made. If you practice distance with regular fist than incorporate the corkscrew in real fight, you'll have the extra several inches of power and punch through opponent

      @@jolosarmiento24 try doing the jab in the video, with your thumb facing up, and no telegraphing. then do a jab with your thumb direction facing either side (idk if you use southpaw or not). then do a corkscrew jab, with your thumb rotating all the way down, and your shoulder blade is supposed to open up and give you a few mor inches of reach.

      @benard Sellers I’m not going to show you shit. Do some research and you’ll find I’m correct. There are dozens of books about Bruce Lee’s training and his philosophy on fighting. The concept of not telegraphing attack is old and Bruce did indeed teach this. I used the techniques seen in this video for years and people would trip on how I could get through their defense so easily.
