Awesome stuff man! After meeting and talking with ya at CSA you inspired me to restart my channel, As my hope was to what you’re doing now when I first started it a few years ago. Great stuff and keep up the great work. See ya in September hopefully!
Nice work shane .. 2 weeks ago a student of mine tried the same on me 2 bad i know it from pentjak but in k1 its not allowed and isnt it more like a trip than a sweep.. since u aint sweepin anything;)
Can anyone tell me this guys background? Has he had any actual fights? Experienced street fighter? It seems like he puts out some cool stuff but has he ever actually tested any of it?
Good against a stationary opponent, but for one who is evasive and pivots a lot, you'll find it hard to even get into clinch range. Interesting technique though
I dont like hanging that shoulder out there. I have dislocated both of my shoulders too many times in too many ways that I have become very protective of them. That move is a jacked up arm waiting to happen. If you try that on someone with a good low base, the shoulder will pop out trying to pull down.
Shoulders are hanging joints. Learn to "seat" the shoulder for power. I recommend Wing Chun techniques for striking if you have shoulder issues. Boxing techniques extend the shoulders, which are weak by nature.
David Williams I love boxing though. I have just adjusted my technique a little to protect them. My punches look more like Mike Tyson's. It means less reach but more power. I can take a lot of hits, so it is alright.
@@cobes11 Boxing is fun, and also gives a great workout. There are similarities to Tyson's approach and Wing Chun techniques [particularly the elbows, which are similar in nature to short hooks]. He's a good guy to emulate because he used more of his mass and movement. Yes, the range is shorter, but it results in much more power. It should help your shoulders. Wing Chun is more effective bare-handed, than gloved. Gloves cover a lot of the center and change the profile of wrists, so you can't as effectively trap or deflect. This forces one to use more "rounded" punches and often throw from the shoulder rather than using more straights and vertical fists. I love boxing, but really enjoy sparring without gloves and using throws and take-downs. It's fun to break an opponent's structure and take their balance and to be able to "sense" their strikes and respond. Every martial discipline has value in my view. Some are better for certain body types than others.
AZ Battle School tkd does actually have sweeps and throws but there not taught for some reason. But your right Choi used shotokan as his base for developing tkd. In essence tkd is an updated version of karate 😉
Tkd is actually mostly derived from taekkyeon hence all the kicks and guards but very linear and stiff because of karate discipline. They needed a more military martial arts so tkd happened.
If I sidekicked someone, they would fly. I would need to stalk them back down just to trip them. That sidekick trip combo looks lame as you would need not to knock your opponet back too far with the sidekick and be quick enough to grab and trip before they countered. Most adversaries are not just going to be standing around of they have any experience. It probably works on the people you were training as they look about 1st level fighters. It would be far easier to clinch and reap with a hooked leg and a push. Or many other possibilities.
Am going through a tough breakup, this really helped me.Thanks Fight Tips

Glad to see you growing man keep it and I love that your content never lacks.
Thanks for coming to Stout!
Yeah my old gym! 😁😁😁 Stout Training Pittsburgh is anything but class
Nice sweep dude, makes me think of a Thai hop faked front kick into a simple clinch sweep but this utilizes the side kick which Is my favorite kick 👌🏽
Great ad for Pittsburgh. Looks lovely.
Looks dope thanks for the upload
In Pittsburgh too...live in Lancaster...love Pitt...great town and people.

Yea Buddy on that guard manipulation
Cool video! Thank you! Also, if you ever feel like doing an europe tour too, you definitely have to make a stop in Czech Republic! ;)
Do spinning sweep kicks work in real life? It always seemed to tow the line between real and fake martial arts in my mind.
They work. I swept a dude trying to hit me with a tree branch.
Great technique
Its been great *tripping* with you..... ;)
Taekwondo technique/discipline is Great for Kids, I make my 7 Kids go. I used to sweep and throw many classmate's in school!🧘♂️🥋
Brazilian American Patriotic Soldier itf or wtf tdk?
Can anyone tell me this guys background? Has he had any actual fights? Experienced street fighter? It seems like he puts out some cool stuff but has he ever actually tested any of it?
Would this sweep be valid in kickboxing or only MMA and Muay thai? Thanks

Can you do some with jeff chan?
03:07 *This reminds me of what we were doing in Krav Maga on Tuesday.*
Imagine a sparring video with Jeff Chan from mmashredded
Box sings....
Yet in my TKD club at school I got kicked out for sweeping and other low body attacks.
Bad spot. They obviously want to teach folks how to fight in point tournaments instead of real Taekwondo.
If u don't pull this move correctly or fast enough ,there is a big chance of getting k.o with a over hand right.
Good against a stationary opponent, but for one who is evasive and pivots a lot, you'll find it hard to even get into clinch range. Interesting technique though
@Mark Lucchese Touche

Love your channel but tkd has no sweeps...Unless they steal it from the Japanese… Kind a like they did karate ( mass oyama )

Kim Jess good to see it evolving into a more practical thing over time - as many are
