We arrived in Thailand today; Luke and I got a 5.5 mile run in. He's in the best shape he's ever been in, both mentally and physically, and we're feeling great about our strategy going into this match. Stoked to have you all following!
Been watching your channel for a long time I feel like I’m your friend now so the feeling I’m feeling for you to be coaching one of the best fighters in the world fills me with so proud for , let’s go bro 💪🥊all the best bro 💯
Anyone who says your fake needs a reality check. You know what you talking about and no lie your channel has been a source of great info and content since I tuned in 2015. Keep on going coach, I tip my hat to you.
Shane you’re literally one of the pioneers of RUclips fighting tutorials I remember my friends and I binge watching your videos freshman year when we couldn’t afford gym fees you’ve made an impact on an entire generation of martial artists and are still continuing to do so :) you definitely deserve to be in the position you’re in best of luck to you this 2025
Shane, this is one of the greatest videos of this year (and we´ve only begun). This one was very personal for me, as I am a kickboxing coach who has never fought professionally. After I trained for a few months, the gym owner recognized my passion for teaching others, and, as he suddenly lost one of his coaches, just threw me there to lead a group of beginners. It didn't take long and I had a full schedule of classes after just a few years of practicing and a few fights. I sometimes deal with something similar to imposter syndrome and this really helped me, because I have a group of fighters to whom I give a lot of my time and even parts of myself, and they are winning tournaments, some of them are considering turning pro. We are doing something right, even though I´ve never been a pro and even had fewer fights than the best of my fighters. You are right about a lot of points in this video. And your stretching is great.
Sorry guys - Alberta’s standing behind Cody Jerome! Chef is dope but it’s 🇨🇦time! I will say that this video helped me a lot man! I made the decision that I didn’t want to pursue fighting and then shortly after was offered a coaching gig. I have coached every day with big time imposter syndrome - but my fighters keep getting medals and making me proud! I am honored that they let me support them however I can.
damn i was like 14(27 now) when that win any street fght video came out i still remember waching it that was the time i got interested into fighting(did BJJ and some boxing at the time)..man time flies
Maybe it's because I've been teaching for so long, this video is even more inspiring to me than most similar videos about fighters. I also love the fact that after all these years, Shane is still being genuine and not let "the Dark Side of fame" gets the better of him. 🙌
I dont know if you've ever read Theodore Roosevelt's speech "Citizenship in a Republic" but there is a part commonly referred to as "The Man in the Arena" its a great reminder that confidence and trust in oneself is what truly matters. Your team is going to do great. Wish yall the best of luck!
Man Shane I’m glad you’re finally getting the recognition you deserve as a great coach brother you’re one of the reasons I got into martial arts and you’re coaching one of my favorite Muay Thai fighters all the more better seems like yesterday I watching you when you had the dreads
Met you while i was preparing for WKAs this year. You have me a quick tip in just the few passing secs. Wishing you nothing but the best, Coach 🙇🏾♂️👊🏾
Man that one video about the mouthpiece you showed here was the first of yours I saw 10+ years ago, been following ever since. Makes me very happy to see you healthy and successful, thank you for the great content and best wishes for 2025💪🏻
Awesome man, good luck to the Chef; he's in good hands. I know the crowds love the slugfests, but I really want to see Luke prioritizing his slick defense. I don't want to see his career getting shortened in those nasty exchanges.
It’d be awesome to get a behind-the-scenes look at your weight cut process, from the steps to drop weight to how you rehydrate and replenish afterward. Maybe break down your strategy for managing energy, staying safe, and recovering quickly. Also, if possible, a video showing how you prepare mentally and physically for your role as a coach/corner would be amazing!😁 Great work with the Chef! I saw him fight at the TBAs in Iowa a few years ago. It’s incredible to see his journey to the big stage such a testament to his hard work and dedication!🙏💪
Man what a journey bro, you deserved it all. Also since you coach Luke the chef i think you should also have a nickname, now considering your long majestic hair i think we should call you Thor
As an ammy thai fighter here in the states I’ve been watching u for over 10 years . Ur as legit as they come my man. No fake vibes detected . Ur the man Shane , good luck on the fight with Luke , u guys are top . Cheers
Haven't watched your videos in years, and I'm glad you went back to the long hair look. It just looks _right_ on you. You look a bit like Obi-Wan Kenobi from _Attack of the Clones._
23 been boxing since I was 15 and I was coaching kids classes helping out at the gym not even charging money and people who never even boxed or courage to even step in the gym asked me how I was a coach😂😂😂😂 I just laugh
It's crazy that the most qualified people question themselves when those that aren't have inflated ego's and yap like they're thanos. You've been putting in work since for forever (I remember when you went on the journey initially). Literally you went ryu when it came to seeking out official official knowledge. Also black sock gang!!
As long as you don't compete or hard spar you can stay pretty safe. Accidents happen, but my health is far better after spending most of 2024 doing MT.
At the end of the day, a lot of the greats had coaches that weren't acomplished competitors, or didnt event compete at all. Studying the game and playing the game are 2 different things.
After living in Thailand, and traveling back and forth, my best training tip would have been to go very early. The time change, jet lag and the intense heat and humidity, all take some time to get used to.
I’ve always dreamed of being a kind of RUclips MMA champion with the greatest team of trainers behind, which consists of: - Shane Fazen as head coach - Gabrial Varga for striking - Stephen Kesting for grappling - Ben David Christian for analysis & planning - coach PJ for strength & conditioning - Johnny from expertboxing for……… boxing 🥊😊
2:30 This isn't modern exercise science! This is modern internet guru BS; I've been practicing physical therapy for about 5 years now, and interested in exercise science for over a decade. This is bro-wisdom, which is really hard to dislodge, but it hasn't been backed by modern exercise science!

Good for you mate. Good luck to your fighter for the fight.
Good luck to your fighter on the 10th coach!
Eyyyy ramsey!!
Appreciate you, coach!
Ramseyyy whats up!
Been a fan for years and can’t wait to follow your journey here in Thailand 🔥
I remember over 10 years ago when i watched your videos on self defense, look how far you have come. Very well deserved.
Anyone who says your fake needs a reality check. You know what you talking about and no lie your channel has been a source of great info and content since I tuned in 2015. Keep on going coach, I tip my hat to you.
Hair on point bro

Yo Shane y'all should be in Ultimate Self Defense Championship season 3

Was thinking the same. To see Shane in a different light and mixing with the martial crew on here.

You really have a knack for storytelling, this was well structured and inspirational, good luck I'll be rooting for you guys!
As a part time self defense instructor, I see this as a big win for reality being more important than paperwork.

Absolutely love this video! You're open mindedness towards martial arts and now coaching is such a breath of fresh air.

Shane u were one the first ppl i ever saw on youtube doing tutorials. Ur so ready for this
Awesome man, good luck to the Chef; he's in good hands. I know the crowds love the slugfests, but I really want to see Luke prioritizing his slick defense. I don't want to see his career getting shortened in those nasty exchanges.
Broooooooo 2 of my favorites for sure... got the privilege of working with him twice and hes definitely one of the best
Shane, you and your team have got this. Congratulations on this opportunity. You can be my coach any day of the week.
Nice to see your hard work paying off. You've earned this. Good luck to Luke out there. Wai
Stoked for you Shane! Chef’s gonna cook 🔥
i still remember your original videos where you'd say "bullies suck." dang how far you've come.

Nice one Shane! All the best for Lumpinee
Dude! Shane is DA MAN!!! The Chef knows Shane can cook !
Crazy to watch a guy I meant at my ammy kickboxing fights in Iowa, turn into an incredible athlete. Both of these men are superior role models.
Stay the path, Austin -- you got this 🙏
Damn dude. I've following you since the very beginning. Seeing your growth is awesome. Congrats on all your success.
Excited for both you guys!
Luke's fighting style is so freaking cool
You're amazing for doing it and sharing the story! I wish you all the very best journey

Always been a goat bro, been learning from you for years.
Congratulations Coach! Well deserved!
Haven't watched your videos in years, and I'm glad you went back to the long hair look. It just looks _right_ on you. You look a bit like Obi-Wan Kenobi from _Attack of the Clones._
Best wishes, Shane! Enjoy this new and exciting experience. Regards from New England 🇺🇸☘️
Congrats bro 👏 u deserve it, you’re a beast 💯👏🥷

Man seems ready. Good luck to you. What a match up.
GREAT FIGHT. Amazing corner work. LETS GO
Because not only do you explain the skill it's how you explain the technique which Is most important
Great video man, great lesson.
This is awesome dude you’ve got this
congrats, big opportunity, good luck to the Chef
23 been boxing since I was 15 and I was coaching kids classes helping out at the gym not even charging money and people who never even boxed or courage to even step in the gym asked me how I was a coach😂😂😂😂 I just laugh
You ever play thrill of the fight on VR? It would be sick to see some of my favorite martial art RUclipsrs go at it in virtual reality.
Well deserved as far as I’m concerned. Awesome stuff, Shane.
Great video, didn't expect so many details 🙏
It's crazy that the most qualified people question themselves when those that aren't have inflated ego's and yap like they're thanos. Proud of you, Coach❤
Why not - you are a legend! love your videos
good luck with this endeavor!! ❤
Best of luck I’ll be watching!
Your boy smoked him, good job!

Good luck bro 💪
Amazing message 🙏🏽
Bro you been one of the greats. I’ve been following you for years and you still look the same. How old are you now?
Awesome man congrats!
Nice bro,you made me a better fighter ❤
Good for you!! Keep doing your thing!!
CTE is just way too serious and debilitating for me to ever seriously train. God speed warriors.
💯 you don’t play fighting. You pay the bills with blunt force trauma as the currency. It’s no joke, but martial arts are forever in my heart ❤️
Huh? Why so scared? I’m a lifelong practitioner and plenty of big bangs on my head but guess what, you can take it man
unless you spar hard hard every non professional fighter and many professional fighters are pretty safe from cte
As long as you don't compete or hard spar you can stay pretty safe. Accidents happen, but my health is far better after spending most of 2024 doing MT.
Great video 🔥
Thank you champ, big fan!
Magnificient hair brother.
Congratulations fellas, glad to have witnessed greatness and to more continued success🔥🙏🙂↕️

My hero.

After living in Thailand, and traveling back and forth, my best training tip would have been to go very early. The time change, jet lag and the intense heat and humidity, all take some time to get used to.
Great points, jeff! Gonna mention that
You deserve it bro
Truly inspiring ❤

My favorites are still Saenchai and Buakaw
Is there an online website I can watch the fight live?
Yeah, they're live and included on Amazon Prime! 8pm ET this Friday, Jan 10
The Chef gotta use a similar recipe as Nabil, they're both tall, strategical, and hard-hitting👌😩
That’s awesome
