The Prince of Egypt is a masterpiece, the Road to El Dorado is an incredibly funny adventure, and Sinbad is criminally underrated. As for their 3D animation, Rise of the Guardians is incredible!

Anton Ego's voice actor is none other than Peter O'Toole who is most well known for Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Lion in Winter (1968), and High Spirits (1988). He's also had parts in Supergirl (1984), The Last Emperor (1987), King Ralph (1991), Troy (2004), and Stardust (2007).

As french I do have the culture of food (wich does not mean that everyone in France is cooking, far from it actually, but we do learn to taste everything at a young age and being critic about it) and I'm cooking a lot, my husband even more. French cuisine is a lot about meats (and not just steak, every part of the meat, even tongue or liver) and sauces, but in the south there's more vegetables in the plate, cooked in olive oil most of the time. Ratatouille is one of the most popular south meal, where zucchinis, eggplants, tomatoes, soft red pepper and oignons are cooked seperated and very slowly. What Remy is doing owever is a Tian because everything is cooked in the same plate in thin slices. Almost same taste, better presentation, but not same texture at all.
Also, cooking can be very quick, easy and fun, don't push you too hard :) You can do it. Making your own soup for winter, for exemple, is so simple : just cook your vegetables in boiling water (having potatoes in your soup recipe is always good for texture so had them before the water is boiling), then use a blender, a little bit of salt and tadaaaaam \o/

What I did when making soup is I actually made chicken vegetable soup 🍲 by boiling chicken with salt, garlic and onion and using the broth, adding as many vegetables as I could and simmering it in the broth to you’ve the broth the flavor of the vegetables. I also boiled dried peppers for a bit of spice. And some chicken bouillon salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, onion and garlic powder. Very delicious. Tastes like home and good for when you’re sick. It’s very healthy for you. I don’t like the taste of vegetables but to have the nutrients, I cooked it in the broth and the vegetables soak up the broth and it tastes good!

Given that description of ratatouille compared to what we see in the film, maybe they just went with something that was similar, but prepared in a simpler fashion for the sake of presenting it in the film.

It's a funny thing about recipes. Some of them sound really easy, but when you try to follow them, problems may arise, and you can only learn the proper way to avoid them by trying various approaches. Like custard. It will be burnt if the walls of the bowl are too thick or too thin... (sighs) Guess that the rule of 500 awful artworks works here too. I mean, they say that each of us has 500 awful artworks inside, and to create something worthy, you need to get them all our first. Now that is reassuring

I always follow the recipe the first time so I can see what 'they' envisioned. Then I change a few things here and there to suit my tastes. Never enough Garlic in theirs. I eat it raw or or my home made pickled garlic. Black pepper ?.....Keep grinding. Rosemary?.......I rub the plants and then on my cheeks and behind the ears for a makeshift cologne .

    beautiful, haunting, hopeful, heartbreaking
love it with all my heart
i had a VHS tape of shrek and before the movie, there were trailers for some other family movies, one of them - spirit
it had this scene where spirit jumps over the canyon (you understand when you see) and it was so gorgeous, i held my breath everytime i watched it

I’ve worked in a restaurant for a couple of years and some chefs I’ve met have been very snappy. The key is to follow how they want things done even if there’s a way you think is better. It’s very fast paced and a lot of time management so everything for each table is ready at the same time.

I used to only be able to cook stir fry, tacos, and boxed mac 'n cheese. But I wanted to learn to be better, so I looked up local cooking classes, and I found a Knife Skills 101 class that was about $55. I don't know if that's the standard cost, this was at a high end cooking store, but it was my only option, so hey 🤷‍♀️ The class was SO helpful. It taught the difference between a mince, a fine chop, medium chop and rough chop, plus how to properly a quickly cut the most frequently used veggies and fruits, how to quickly cut a variety of herbs, how to actually hold a knife, how to sharpen a cooking knife, and what certain words mean when a recipe calls for things to be cut this way or that. I highly recommend going that route on your cooking journey. It was SUCH a big help to me. Starting at square zero basically, just getting the proper technique in the beginning. From there I signed up for a couple of other classes for specific dishes. They were well worth their price in the long run. I learned lots of useful tricks, and they gave everyone a packet of notes to take home, so we didn't have to worry about forgetting anything.

It took me years to learn this but during Ego’s trip down memory lane as he tastes The Ratatouille, you can see that the house he grew up in is suspiciously similar to the one at the beginning where Remi stole the book. The old lady is Ego’s mother. That might explains how Remi’s cooking appeals so much to Ego since his dish made him remember his mother’s cooking.

My mom's famous heart-healthy apple dump cake:
    You will need:
2 cans of apple pie filling
1 box white (or yellow) cake mix
    Cinnamon shaker
    1. Pour pie filling into a greased cake pan.
    2. Set oven to 350°F. This will give your oven time to finish pre-heating.
    3. mix cake mix with water (slowly) until you have a batter only slightly thicker than pancake batter.
    4. Dust the cake pan's apple filling with cinnamon. Add as much as you like, within reason (I.e.: don't use the entire shaker, but if you're a tad heavy handed, don't worry, it all comes out fine in the end as the cinnamon mixes with the apples and the cake batter in the heat.)
    5. Pour the cake batter in the pan, directly on top of the cinnamon-apple section. Place in the oven for the time indicated on the cake-mix box. Keep cooking the cake even when the time is up.
    6. Each time you take it out to test, take a butter knife and slide straight down in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, your cake is ready to eat!
    7. bonne appétit!

I learned to cook in Jr. High, and picked up tips and treats along the way. I prefer baking over cooking, though. When my sister ended up diabetic; I would make sugar free cakes, and create my own frosting. I would use a sugar free Heavy cream and sugar free puddings with Stevia; to frost my cakes. French toast egg batter would be eggs, a splash of milk, quart tsp of Vanilla, a dash of Cinnamon, and a little maple syrup. Sprinkle powder sugar on top, and your good. When I bake cookies; I use both chocolate and peanut butter chips, with a splash of milk, so the cookies stay nice and soft, and gooey.

Great reaction. This movie is hilarious. You make me want to cook for you, you poor thing. :D I have a nack for cooking and I greatly enjoy it. Ratatouille is quiet simple. I just cut eggplant, zucchini and tomatoes into slices and fry them in a pan with a lot of olive oil. Then put the slices neatly into a casserole. Fry garlic and onions, add tomato sauce, salt and spice it however you want (I use rosemary and thyme). Then add the tomato sauce to the casserole and put it into the oven. Tipp: ad feta cheese and maybe some black olives.

I've only watched this movie a couple of times, I do love how lovely they made the Parisian cityscape. What I find strange is that the 2 main characters, both mouse and man.....have NO French accent yet they are French.😳 I've never understood that. But it just shows that when it comes to animated movies, that stuff doesn't seem to matter.😣😜 Anyways, it's a cute movie though not a fave of mine. As far as cooking, I grew up at times helping a Grandma of mine as well as my Mom. Mind you I'm no great cook but I can pull off making a few things. I in fact just bought some Collard greens and are going to cook them up along with making Cornbread dumplings to put in with them. Both my late Grandma and Mom used to make it. There's a few recipes I've found online that I do well with. I don't like anything too complicated. ☺Was fin watching you as always Nick! Take care 🌌🌌

Irl, rats in the kitchen is a recipe for disaster. However, I tend to stay in the back room in my house, mom in the front, with rats staying in the kitchen. As I don't know how to fight back, we (the rats and I) have somewhat of an understanding. Don't try to scare me, and try to procreate with inside volume so that I can concentrate when needed, and I'll never go after you. I do have access to the kitchen most of the time, but they seem to be learning my habits, and that when I'm overwhelmed and irritated, it's not about them, and as long as they follow the rules, they are still safe. Thus, even though they ran across (read:onto) my feet yesterday, they've never attacked me, nor bit me. I may be loud sometimes, and in the ending of an, "I'm starving, I'm exhausted, and my body hurts really badly" kinda day, they know they're safe.

If you’re looking for recipes, making pasta is an easy start! Fill a pot 3/4 with water and set it on the stove to boil. Once it’s boiling, dump whatever type of noodles in and cook around 5-7 minutes. You can tell if it’s done by taking a piece out with a fork and taste testing-if it’s still chewy cook it just a touch longer.
There’s a lot of premade sauces in stores, like alfredo for example, so it can be super easy to cook some pasta and add sauce. If you want meat, cooking chicken isn’t too hard either.

I cook chicken by getting chicken breasts at the store. If you’re cooking for one, you can put one in a pot, put enough water in to cover, and let it cook. Chicken turns white when it’s cooked. If you’re not sure, get it out of the pot and into a cutting board, and slice it open a bit with a knife. If there’s still pink, cook it more, otherwise you can use a knife and fork to shred it along the grain (where it parts easily). Another great thing to add to pasta!

I'm not in any way a professional Cook, but I have always been so happy with my progress
My Parents didn't Cook. Because they we're both really _really_ bad at it. I mean it, I love them, my mom is an absolute Genius musician who Plays 7 different Instruments, but she couldn't Cook to save her life and my dads aproacg to cooking was: if you drown it in enough oil, it'll be edible.
Thus I didn't really learn to Cook as a child. My Grandma cooked but she didn't really ask me for help, rather wanting to let me play and calling me in when the food was ready.
So, when I went to College and moved into a Dorm with a shared Kitchen, I realised that I had two options: Live the next four Years of off Instant Ramen and Pizza - or learn how to cook.
And I did. I started with things that didn't need many ingredients and pots or pans, since in the shared kitchen we didn't have much space, so I mainly made Terrines, Soups and Casseroles. After I graduated and moved in with my future Hubby, I had my own kitchen for the first time and I started experimenting. At this point I'm actually a pretty good cook, regularly cooking for our DnD Group and getting high praises all around (not that I haven't had the odd stinker, but luckily that doesn't happen very often)
My Husband even says that my Pancakes are second inly to his late grandma, which is definitely something I can live with. Grandma will always have the best recipes 😋 💕

Brought to you by Pixar directed by Brad Bird starring Remy voiced by Patton Oswald; a rat who is a great foodie. Unfortunately he's also a rodent which makes him a liability. When a rookie Linguini, voiced by Lou Romano, is a terrible cook, it is up to Remy to take matters into his own hands

Sure, corn dogs can be great. But I don't believe that detracts from them being stereotypical American garbage food. This coming from an American with nothing against corn dogs.
