I used 4x4' cedar for the side legs only and although the chairs are beefier, the look is amazing, and you can set your drink on it ...I skipped the couch and just made six chairs .... I don't think people like sitting next to someone on a couch which is why I only made the chairs.

What's the angle on the lean back and is the arm rest the right height? They seem a little too tall but I'm not sure.

Hey, I recently purchased your plans. I've almost finished with finishing my first chair. I can't seem to find the spacing between the slats on the chiars. Could you provide that information?
That would end up being way more expensive than anyone who wants it would be willing to pay. It's still a hand made artisan set that would have to cost thousands to be worth it, except people will think it's IKEA and want to pay $100 for it because, after all, they had to assemble it.

I wish I could buy cedar in the UK without taking out a mortgage. For outdoor furniture here it pretty much has to be pressure treated timber and it never looks as good

ive done the same except i always use quarter sawn sapele flooded with high quality boaters teak oil
