- This cutscene mixes a few tracks together. The ones I recognize:
- The Path/The Traveler
- Diffracted Truth
- I See Fear/The Dread
There's also quite a few synth elements that are new and unique to this. Unfortunately there's no way to completely isolate the music from the sfx and foley in these types of cinematics.
Destiny music is uploaded here purely for archival reasons and to give players a way to hear the full in-game mixes of tracks. If Bungie or anyone working at Bungie have any issues with videos on this channel or the channel itself please contact me and I'll remove them immediately.
You can purchase and download the official Destiny soundtracks here:

By far the best looking cutscene we’ve ever gotten in Destiny. Just beautiful
Fun fact in Salvations Edge the Witnesses' body ultimately ends in tree branches of darkness and brambles, which spread throughout the raid.
While the cutscene here clesrly implies the traveller is being overtaken by the darkness, its much more literal when you realise that the final form of the witness was bonding with the traveller and as this cutscene impies, completely taking over it
It’s me. I’m the astronaut.
Bro thinks he’s him 💀
John astronaut
This would have been such an opportunity to tease a third darkness subclass.
Solar is to Stasis as
Arc is to Strand.
I can only imagine what Void’s companion will be.
(Resonance please Bungie)
Strand is actually the inverse of Void. If you reverse the colors you can see Solar becomes Stasis blue, Void becomes Strand green, and Arc becomes red.
It wouldnt make sense for the red one to be Resonance, as Resonance is pure Darkness. Resonance would be the opposite of pure Light.

@@destiny_music_archive interesting theory.
I do want to point out the placement of the elements in this trailer. Solar, Stasis, Arc, Strand, Void.
The mural in Vow also shows an orange color in the trifecta of darkness elements. While the color theory has merit through logic, I still stand by the conceptual connections between the elements
@@willl5659 indeed it really is a nice theory, but I couldn't find any mention of the colour perfectly red being the opposite of blue in this case as arc sub, the only image that was previously circulating on reddit of this kind of color opposites was of a colour close to brown with an orange tinge, which would match if resonance was the third subclass. But in fact, the materialisation of the ressonance being pure power and being the opposite of light makes a lot of sense.
Rumors are that we might get a nightmare based subclass because of some dialogue during the Ghost rescues post the final Final Shape mission
Each subclass and there inverse partner represent a something. Solar and Stasis are both “Elements” (Fire and Ice) Void and Strand are both “Aspects of the Universe” kind of like how the infinity stones are from the Avengers. Now we come to Arc which would be a “Force of Nature” (Lighting), so wouldn’t it make sense if Arcs inverse dark partner is also a “Force of Nature”?
1:59 and beyond. I am not sure what these cutscene is trying to say, the visions. It looks to me like this dimming of lights are ghosts or 'constellations' fading away and then when this weird 'core' looking thing inside of the tree inside the traveler is almost fully consumed, the traveler does a massive roar. Which never happened because this is just a vision that we see. But what does all these things combined even mean?
I could be dead wrong, but I think the vision is the graveller trying to convey the idea that light and dark are one and the same to give us the understanding we need to wield new power to best the Witness.
Simultaneously, the witness is trying to interrupt the visions, the black matter literally smothering the falcon, and then displaying war torn relics of the vanguard, perhaps to try and dissuade us and strike fear.
Lastly we see that as the witness infects the pale heart, the traveller is screaming in pain
Have you done the Final Shape campaign?
@@Toolumens the graveller 💀
It’s the traveler showing us what will happen if we don’t hurry. It shows us the universe being finalized as its heart gets fully consumed. I assume those are the last stars going out as they solidify their shape
I get the feeling this was supposed to be teaser trailer
So the way the Titan seen his past life when he went through the portal and died is this “vision” kinda us remembering our past life as well as guiding us about prismatic? I think it would be pretty cool if our guardian was on of the 3 astronauts that found the traveller on Mars and this scene with the astronaut using all subclasses then transcending kinda makes me think it could be our guardian before the collapse
the astronaut is simply just a stand-in for the guardian/humanity. plus, it wouldn’t make too much sense for an exo/awoken character to be one of the astronauts, along with the astronauts already having canonical names.
@@_nubby_ that’s true about them having names but them being awoken or exo doesn’t mean anything. One of the 3 astronauts could have been part of the Clovis project during the golden age and became an exo or tried to flee on the colony ship with the people who became the awoken
Bungie did say we'd know if they nailed Final Shape by the first mission. I agree with that.
1:28 whose stuff is that hanging on the branch?
Ikora's.
-Breshi
Okay...I'm trying to find the music that plays around 1:33, around when the Traveler is getting eclipsed.
That's something made specifically for this cutscene.
10/10
so who is this astronaut
Elon Musk
Us
I think this is "our" guardian and it would be a very cool plot twist if "our" guardian is from the crew of first 3 human astronauts who found traveler from the destiny 1 teaser trailer
Likely a metaphor for guardians and/or humanity as a whole reaching out into the unknown and wielding Light and Dark at the same time
@@notyouatall3000 it's impossible. Playable Guardians can be also Exos and Awoken. These last two didn't exist before the Golden Age. The 3 astronauts are Jacob Hardy, Dr. M. Mihaylova and Qiao, the team from the Ares One Operation. (Mars exploration in the D1 teaser), this cutscene is a vision, the astronaut having the paracausal powers is a sign that Humanity was always the chosen one to discover the balance between Light and Dark.
Kinda annoying that we are missing two darkness subclasses and one light subclass from this cinematic...
Solar at 1:37, Stasis at 1:41, Arc at 1:43, Strand at 1:47, and Void at 1:51. What are you talking about?
@@SpaceDude1998 Resonance, Nightmares and Pure light, those unfortunately are missing.
@@Falconer5752 Those aren't real subclasses 💀
@@Falconer5752 what are you talking about those are not real. who brainwashed you man 😭
@@SpaceDude1998 What do you mean those aren't real subclasses???
There is a whole mural in Vow depicting stasis, strand and resonance, there is also the arena under the Veil separated in there distinct sections with blue, green and red colors.
The Witness, Calus and Rhulk use Resonance, there is a specific quote from Micah (if I remember correctly) that the nightmares are a source of yet untapped darkness power and also we have the pure light of the traveler that we use in a heavy linear.
