By far the best music of this dlc and my new favorite destiny sound track of all time i wish this track was in the finale fight of the raid thou instead of what we got
It wouldn't make sense though. The reason unmade isn't triumphant is because Salvation's Edge isn't about killing the witness. It's simply about stopping the final shape. The constant "chugging" in the background along with the constant oppressive strings help convey this notion of a desperate attempt to stop time running out on the universe. Excision is when the guardian finally has the advantage on the witness hence why it's so triumphant
It’s hearing “untold legends” start to play and overtake the dark ominous theme that was the witness’ at 24:10 that drives me wild like you can feel that this was a victory of massive proportions as we begin to not only push this thing back but destroy it

Please can we get a mix of Cusp of Finality where the good bit repeats on a round a few times, it’s so good but feels like it gets cut off a little too quick
It’s amazing how it is already, but I really wish they tied ‘make your own fate’ to a threshold on the witness’s health for the raid as well as excision. Similar to the Fatalis fight in monster Hunter world. So when the witness got below a certain amount of health the full song would play in the background as a way of encouraging the players to push forward. The classic destiny damage phase music timing is still fine tho
Its not appropriate thematically. Final encounter is racing against time, which I'm betting the reason you write this is because you never pay attention. Ever noticed it? The sound of the strings literally urging you to be quick. The entire Raid is written in a minor key, including when you are triumphing a boss. Its going to be jarring to the listener if they'd immediately add it without a subtle key change. I'm also betting you suck at music theory. Excision is still considered part of the Raid, the intro to this would be the one where we stare him down again. Its written in a minor key, until we decide to damage him, bearing in mind its using its relative minor key. It works in Monster Hunter its because of the key in which the encounter was written in. There is a section where a male choir is heard in this (listen to it and you'll hear how depressing the tone is). Which is deceptively covered by the strings. That is all.
@@itsharibonph it’s also not thematically appropriate for you to get so mad at a completely harmless comment my brotha🤣. Spent too much time learning music theory and not enough on actually talking to real people👀.

If the Witness actually enacted the final shape it would've sought to do the same to the Winnower as it would have to the Gardener. It was all a deluded vendetta on a cosmological scale.
You people don't understand how hard it was to not make a "super laser piss" joke.
Alright, I was waiting for this one, and I was not disappointed. Definitly the best mix you've ever made so far.
Godspeed, Promethean. 😎
the interweaving of themes when you get sent to the ritual room is so fucking cool. Music team just outdoing themselves every single time.
This fight and ending marks the end of Destiny for me personaly. This saga had it’s ups and downs (lots of downs😢) but this music and this fight show why I love this game. ill always remember this game for what is was.
Eyes up guardians! ill see you all around❤
If it bleeds, we can kill it. This saying has always been proven true, even to wannabe Gods like the Witness. We wounded it in the campaign, we weakened it in the raid... And now in this 12 fireteam mission... We finished it.
From something that seemed unkillable bungie did a good job showing us slowly hurting it until we were able to finally put it down
*It wanted so badly to be a god, so it did, and ended like every other one.*
i was just looking for this a little bit ago, im so happy you finally uploaded it
one of the best things bungie has put out. i love 12 people running around slaying out even if it tanks my frames at times
Gm exision was such an amazing expirience with this music
Definitely the best Destiny mission we have ever experienced!!😎🤩
Hearing all the past expansion themes dating back to Regicide all the way up to Lightfall mashed together really sold it for me
I love how the darkness and the guardian motif work well together in the ritual room
YOUR PAIN IS POISON!
“WE ARE THE FIRST KNIFE, WE CANNOT BE CUT”
May thy knife chip and shatter.
Untold Legends ♥
Literally the theme of
WE
WILL
*not*
YIIIIIIIIELD!!!
This is peak destiny music.
Liked that little hint of oryx's theme in there
Where?
Much appreciate my bro 💠🩵
This might be the best song in Destiny history.
This gives me pure euphoria every time I listen to it
That's it we did it.... We... We did it
I could listen to this on a loop. Actually, I pretty much am. Thanks for compiling!
Unmade slander wiill NOT be tolerated.
@@-HezSEs-speak fire 🗣️🔥
Thank you for making it.
26:29 im not crying you are
No I’m not I’ve just been looking at the screen too long
,,WE WILL NOT YIELD! FINALITY WILL TAKE PLACE!“
"What was made can be unmade! I know what to do...Guardian! Channel The Traveler's light through me! I'm ready!"
instant banger.
We…I… I don’t understand.
then let me enlighten you smokey, sol:1, witness: 0, take a hike
It’s hearing “untold legends” start to play and overtake the dark ominous theme that was the witness’ at 24:10 that drives me wild like you can feel that this was a victory of massive proportions as we begin to not only push this thing back but destroy it
I think it's the first bungie puts 3 musics in the same fight, thats so cool
3:39 Free us... _Free us!_ *_Free us!_*
*”WE ARE ONE!”*
We won’t suffer one more day with you!
@@EJAXK13”It will end soon…”
leitmotifs I noticed (feel free to add more): oryx, neomuna, darkness, journey (I think), savathuns song (I think) and definitely more
There’s one for all of our allies, For Ketch and Crew, Cabal Stomp and I think it’s Bow to No One for awoken
I also heard the disciple motif in the ritual room portion
A true melding of our journey. From start to finish. The successes, failures, mistakes, and triumphs. All were in service to bring us to this point.
14:37 is when my soul leaves my body.
*WE ARE ASCENDING GUARDIANS!*
Don't mind me.
Just putting down time stamps so I can remember my first time doing the mission.
16:55. At exactly 18:55 skip to 19:41. In the middle of 20:06 skip to 22:36.
Not seeking attention. I just wanna remember.
23:54
"We--I--I don't understand..."
26:13
I AM THE ARBITER OF MY OWN FUTURE AND BY NO WILL BUT MY OWN WILL I BE DETERED. I AM NO MERE INSTRUMENT OF THE LIGHT, NO MERE TOOL OF THE DARK, I HAVE TRANSCENDED MY PURPOSE AND BECOME SOMETHING MORE, I AM THE ONE WHO MOVES TIME FORWARD, I AM THE ARCHITECT OF THE FUTURE i AM THE REASON FOR VICTORY ON THE HORIZON. I AM NO MERE PROTECTOR, I AM THE WILD GROWTH OF THE GARDEN'S HEART, I AM THE BATTLE THAT MAKES WAVES ETERENAL. I AM THE PRIME MOVER OF MY OWN PROPHECIES, I..I...AM DESTINY
23:54 is leitmotif from Destiny 1's ending theme...
you mean All ends are Beginnings
Would love to have a version of this with the voice lines as well. Basically just no gameplay
*WE.*
*WILL.*
*NOT.*
*YIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLD*
**Guardians make their own fate.**
Ik it’s a weird pattern recognition thing but one of the dps motifs sounds so much like the one from national treasure
I thought it was just me
Literal chills
"YOUR PAIN IS POISON!"
'you show that shape ain't final!'
"Your pain is poison!"
Throughout my years of playing D1 and D2, I always thought that this would all end with us going into the Traveler. When this came around, I took my Hunter who was normally wearing black, and spray painted her in pure white, like an avenging Archangel of justice.
My favorite part of the expansion is where Witness tells us its gonna allow us to kill ourselves.
"Fall on our knife, and accept mercy." Was so wild to hear in-game.
I just really wish they didn't change the pre-dps part in the OST.
There's something about the tone it immediately sets as you get boots on the ground.
Idk what the predps1 part is actually called but it makes me cry every week
16:55 *MAKE YOUR FINAL STAND GUARDIANS*
We 12 stand defiant in your presence we will not be bound by your final shape your perfect stillness we will fly free, free with both powers of light and darkness for the fundamental forces on our backs, and if you want stillness, so badly then by all means, we 12 will give you stillness
Once you get past that first DPS it finally sets in *it can bleed* and from then on out the music reflects that
Turns from our struggle against the Witness to its struggle against us.
*"WE..."*
*"...I..."*
*"...I don't understand..."*
WE are the FIRST KNIFE!!!! WE are the purpose that carved EDGING INTO BEING!!!! Your edging will be remembered..... within the SHADOW of the BLACK MEAT!!!!!
What is the motif at 10:17 , it sounds so familiar
Discipline, introduced in Lightfall
Discipline from Lightfall.
Please can we get a mix of Cusp of Finality where the good bit repeats on a round a few times, it’s so good but feels like it gets cut off a little too quick
Guardian... Show that Shape it ain't Final!
Proof of a Hero my beloved
@@EyeZee Not entirely harmless if your dissing Unmade like that bro.
@@-HezSEs- mb, Unmade did catch a stray fr 🤣🙌🏾
Thoughts in making a shorter version of this track? Just with the high action pieces put together, i love this entire track but my car rides dont go for 30mins 😭
Yeah just the last 10 mins would be perfect honestly.
I swear I can hear parts of the Archpriest theme in the first encounter segment
"A paltry resistance"
Can you upload a loop of Warpriest high action when the percussion ensemble is present
