An Elsikni with Dread markings Half Taken [in order to command Taken forces more accurately ie Sloan] Either the Herald of Finality is above Disciple or is one. I have a theory this is Chelchis Kell of Stone persuaded by the Witness after the Traveler left Riis
@@mrtoad6870I know Byf suggested the possibility that the Herald of Finality could be a disciple, specifically the one who wielded Winterbite. It's just speculation, but it's a cool idea That being said though it's not anything like "Insert Name, Disciple of the Witness." I wanna know what position it holds, why it's a semi-taken semi-Dread high-ranking Eliksni
There have been theories that this boss is supposed to be Chelchis (is that how you spell it?), Kell of House Stone. For quick context, when the Whirlwind (Eliksni's Collapse) happened, Chelchis was the kell who stood their ground againt the Hive and Black Fleet, in a legendary battle. Now of course they were defeated, but I wouldn't be surprised if Oryx at the time took Chelchis, and was just a taken enemy that never really saw any action/did see action but survived. I still haven't done the raid yet, but from some clips I saw, it appears that the possibility is there, since usually taken who exist for extended amount if time usually mutate with a redish/maroon color, or a opaque blue; however, it could be argued that some noticed that the "armor" looks to be of Dread design. Anyways, a plausible theory, especially since being the "Herald of Finality" and Chelchis's having their last stand on Riis. And no, this isn't a taken Taniks.
It's a cool theory, but it's got a ton of holes. The maroon colour on Taken doesn't seem to be time-based either, given that Primus Ta'aun and Baxx the Gravekeeper sported that same colour after being taken, and we literally WATCHED them get taken. The colour mutations seem more power based than time based, though Forsaken also points to the colourations having something to do with how much will a being has left after being taken. There's no indication in the raid that points to who this Eliksni once was, unfortunately. I hope it is Chelchis though, just because that would be really cool :P
Yeah, it's definitely not Taniks, especially given how we literally have his Exo body's head stored in a room on Europa The helmet designs are completely different here, Taniks didn't have the long, protruding side pieces on the helmet
I think it would make sense. Every civilization that the traveler visits and the witness conquers, it anoints a disciple. We saw this with Rhulk, Nezarec, and even humanity (Mara Sov was originally offered the position of disciple by the witness before it offered it to us). The only hole with this would be Calus, but I feel like Calus was made as a disciple out of convenience, a pawn used to link with the veil and nothing more. We know that the Eliksni were visited by the traveler, and oryx and the black fleet caused the whirlwind, but we've never seen a disciple.

Primus Ta'aun had the same coloration, yet he was freshly taken. I'd say it's more a matter of status or will that dictates what color a taken is. High ranks like the Herald and Quaria are obviously of a high status, so it makes sense they would look distinct. Baxx from D1 has purple, so I have absolutely no clue what that means.

No definitive proof yet either way, but people are saying that it’s likely Chelchis, Kell of Stone. He’s the kell that faced off against the black fleet during the whirlwind.
He's either the Kell of the house of Kings or indeed some random captain. Or he's the disciple that was mentioned to wield Winterbite and had half of his body blown off. Which visually makes sense since his lower half is Taken, and his upper half is completely new. His eyes are unique to any Fallen we've seen which are only visible after he dies.
