OKAY actually i didn't realize that line on 1:44 is the SAME line you can find in VOTD armor loretabs. this literally just blew my mind. i absolutely love the witness and its voice. wit will never stop being my favorite and most beloved character in the destiny universe 🖤
This expansion and saga was an experience, played through the campaign, having stakes, forming an army to fight the witness, us waiting and cheering for the raid teams to defeat and weaken the witness, just so the army and our fireteams can move in and finish the jobs, i've never experienced something like that in years :D I want more menacing and dangerous villains for this game, not just expansion bosses that seem scary but can just be offed no problem like with the "hive god" Xol, i want to fear a villain again.

Good story telling takes time and we haven't even gotten to the first expansion yet. For once give them time, be positive, let them cook. I understand the game and even Bungie is going through a lot of bs right now, but trying to stay positive and looking ahead for something amazing can help. If you truly can't then it might be your time to say goodbye and move onto another game series. I've been playing this game since the D1 Beta and I don't know where you started, but for me I've see this game through thick and thin. I'll always stay just for the fact that the lore and the universe Bungie made for this game is what keeps me around. I know you may not give two shits to what I'm saying, but I really think this community NEEDS a lot more positivity while in a dark time. The devs want to listen, but are obviously chained to what people like Pete Parson have to say with the looming fear of being fired and such. I hope you can find love and passion in Destiny again, but just give them time and see how Revenant and Heresy are before you fully give up on Destiny.
The witness was right, I feel others only saw him as the big bad and nothing more, they never even listened to his philosophy. If you think about it, the witness offered an end to the flower game of control.
@@ballergamerdestroyer4455 I do see a huge twist coming where the "Gods" were in the process of ending/ resetting the "Game" and The Witness was trying to force a technicality to pause it the entire time. It seems to know a lot more than we do just by the delivery of "We..I....I don't understand" they genuinely believed they were saving us. They are the only being that we've come across that are very much aware of "The Game" and their words and actions only make sense if it knew something big was coming. Perhaps it was twisting a truth with its speech to the Hive regarding "A Godwave" in the longterm the Hive being chosen by the Traveler would still result in "The Game" coming to an end. I believe as time goes on many of the things they said will start to hold double meanings as we learn more about the Universe and The Game.
“Silence, you insolent speck.” The way he says that line is so good
real, acting like a piece of lint on his shoulder gained sentience.
Out of every of my favourite antagonists the Witness is definitely my personal favourite antagonist😎

Their lines in the Lightfall reveal trailer were actually so hard.
Never played destiny 2 but the witness is such a scary villain

The glitched out ghost voice of the Witness is Lowkey more unsettling than the normal voice. "In light, there is only failure" hits hard
Cringe. No way you are taking this over dramatic loser story seriously? Some of you haven’t experienced good storytelling and it shows.

Destiny's greatest villain since Oryx
I would say since Savathun. She was excellently played. But those 3 are top 3. I’d say Rhulk as well, even if he was in one mission.
@@magicmike3954 Savathûn was indeed top tier but still not as excellent as Oryx, imo. But yeah, they’re all my top 3. Witness, Oryx, then Savvy

The Witness's dialogue with Nezarec can be heard in the final Ghost mission from Micah.

It is honestly interesting that the Witness entrusted the Veil to Nezarec.
Nezerec was holding it on his Pyramid during the first collapse, he was meant to bring it directly to The Traveler before Savathuun intervened.
Anyone who watches this needs to go watch all the lines of dialogue from "the many" In the game System Shock 2. Its very similar if not the same.
