I'd like to thank you for posting your next video, to give us a heads up about the problems of making a channel. (I'm sneaking around the 'no comments' thing; sorry!) I just want to thank you for telling us the truth, because I've followed some really great channels over the past few years, that suddenly just stopped. In a few cases, the creators were so VERY enthusiastic about making videos that I wonder if they died or went bankrupt -- it seems so unlikely they'd just stop, even though I'd heard many hints about how financially unrewarding it is. I'd like to add that I started following your channel about 8 or 9 months ago when I decided to buy a guitar. I had no idea how many hours spent working on the videos, nor how much money you were investing!
You really have to love filming and editing videos. And it helps to be great at it. I am not good at it and it doesn't help that I loathe filming and editing. Editing more so. Takes a good 30 minutes just to delete most of the "umms" and "f***ks" in every video haha. I'd be willing to do it if it didn't cost money, but to pay to do something you hate is just ... not sustainable.
@@ArtOfShredYT Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Maybe if there were topics that you were particularly interested in sharing, you could do it now and then, but I don't think you should sink money into it. The give-aways are very generous, but not very tenable.
That's likely what will end up happening. And I'm probably going to finish all the videos I had planned (and purchased gear for) so it will probably look like a semi-active channel until then.
@@ArtOfShredYTCame in here to write a similar thing. As someone who would also loathe filming myself I understand.
