I actually like the printed top and it suits the LP style body. Not getting into politics or slogans, I completely dislike the inlay on the fingerboard. It’s gaudy to me but I rarely like any fingerboard inlay that surpasses dots if even that. However, given that this is the Trump guitar, I see why it’s on there. It just could have been done in a more tasteful way.

I’ll shoot it out with a cheaper Harley Benton on guitar friends that I think sounds better and plays just as nice or almost as well.
Dude, you should have shown us the wirings and components behind the plates on the back. The truss rod, and the underside of the pickups and the routing in the cavities and the 3 way toggle. What material is the nut? Is it bone? All things considered and given that it is bolt on neck, thats a beauty of a guitar. sounds pretty good too. I knew these guitars would end up being pretty nice. that guitar is going to be worth a lot some day. congrats on the axe, man.

I'm just here for the TDS comments 😂 It's modeled after a 60s Series LP with the silver top knobs, that's why you like the neck. Your bridge pickup is supposed to be raised as close to the strings as possible without interference. Just raise it up and you will get the sound you are looking for.

Get real, NONE of this object was made or assembled in US. It is cheap as cheap Chinese, not Korean or even Indonesian. It is a Chinese kit guitar, thus the bolt on neck, that has been pre-assembled and not worth anything like 500 dollars, not even 200 dollars. It is a joke.
Looks like a Gibson Les Paul to me. It has a bolt-on neck. It has a mahogany body and no maple top. It has Grover knockoff tuners. The pickups are called Trump buckers, and they have to be made in China. Where does it say where the Trump guitar is made? That can't be a USA made bridge and tailpiece. That overlay glued on the top cost $2 to make in China. You could have bought a new, made in Mexico Epiphone Les Paul Custom with a maple top, Grover Rotomatic tuners, Gibson USA pickups, a Switchcraft 3-way toggle and jack, and good electronics that are hand-wired with CTS pots with Mallory capacitors, and a case for $1,299. Anyone who bought that silly Trump guitar got majorly ripped off.

Its a collector's item. We didnt buy it because we thought it would be better than a Gibson Les Paul Standard. We bought it because we love Trump and Guitars. I love chibsons too btw. I'd love to have seen gibson make them but then the base model like this one would be 6 or 7k and I'd never have one. Its a piece of history. Thats its value.

I just got mine! Overall, it's nice. $1,500 nice outside of the collector's value? No. But if you love guitars and Trump and America then it's fantastic to behold. It's probably made in indonesia or Korea, maybe china who knows. It's obviously not made in America unfortunately. It has a couple blemishes but not bad. Frets are almost perfect. It does have small pots and a little green capacitor and plastic wires, but the pots feel good and work well. They are well built small pots not the cheap ones you get in chibsons. Soldering is nice. The 3 way switch feels nice so its decent. Output jack works well but there is not much resistance to pull the cable back out. Pickups sound decent obviously. Neck is good. It has some weight to it. Most important it feels great to play! And it's beautiful! And I love it! ❤

While it it is "being a LP" (Norlin-era) type guitar, it isn't being very Chibson with that bolt-on and headstock shape. A chibson can fool just about ~anyone~ from far enough away, but this guitar only 'fools' the sorts that are fooled by basic differences in construction and design - _at any distance._

Dude, did you really order ones those Trump guitars? The specs say it's worth about $299, and not $1,500. You could have bought a Sterling by Music Man, an Epiphone with USA made parts, or a PRS SE for a lot less. Good luck keeping that Trump guitar in tune for more than 30 seconds.
@@scotteepunk It's a collector's item whose worth is determined by it's market value. My actual American-made Gibson falls out of tune every 15 seconds besides.

Get real, NONE of this object was made or assembled in US. It is cheap as cheap Chinese, not Korean or even Indonesian. It is a Chinese kit guitar, thus the bolt on neck, that has been pre-assembled and not worth anything like 500 dollars, not even 200 dollars. It is a joke.

Looks like a Gibson Les Paul to me. It has a bolt-on neck. It has a mahogany body and no maple top. It has Grover knockoff tuners. The pickups are called Trump buckers, and they have to be made in China. Where does it say where the Trump guitar is made? That can't be a USA made bridge and tailpiece. That overlay glued on the top cost $2 to make in China. You could have bought a new, made in Mexico Epiphone Les Paul Custom with a maple top, Grover Rotomatic tuners, Gibson USA pickups, a Switchcraft 3-way toggle and jack, and good electronics that are hand-wired with CTS pots with Mallory capacitors, and a case for $1,299. Anyone who bought that silly Trump guitar got majorly ripped off.

But I am a musician, so I am not paying professional prices for an entry level product, no matter how funny it is.
Its a collector's item. We didnt buy it because we thought it would be better than a Gibson Les Paul Standard. We bought it because we love Trump and Guitars. I love chibsons too btw. I'd love to have seen gibson make them but then the base model like this one would be 6 or 7k and I'd never have one. Its a piece of history. Thats its value.

Obviously I agree it would be horrible for a gigging musician for many reasons unless you just got money to throw around and want it on stage. Id at least swap electronics if I was gonna do that. Id rather have a good epiphone or gibson studio or a prs se or something for a gigging band.

I just got mine! Overall, it's nice. $1,500 nice outside of the collector's value? No. But if you love guitars and Trump and America then it's fantastic to behold. It's probably made in indonesia or Korea, maybe china who knows. It's obviously not made in America unfortunately. It has a couple blemishes but not bad. Frets are almost perfect. It does have small pots and a little green capacitor and plastic wires, but the pots feel good and work well. They are well built small pots not the cheap ones you get in chibsons. Soldering is nice. The 3 way switch feels nice so its decent. Output jack works well but there is not much resistance to pull the cable back out. Pickups sound decent obviously. Neck is good. It has some weight to it. Most important it feels great to play! And it's beautiful! And I love it! ❤
I can't image a situation where that guitar would be worth more in the future.
Being an officially endorsed item and that it’s limited id bet it goes up in value by virtue of being presidential memorabilia and not so much going up because of the guitar market.
I agree that this thing is probably a Chinese guitar, find it hard to believe he endorses this with his tariff policy up and coming... would be cool if he came out and said he endorsed this product and would donate all proceeds to something like wounded warrior project, etc.....

While it it is "being a LP" (Norlin-era) type guitar, it isn't being very Chibson with that bolt-on and headstock shape.
A chibson can fool just about ~anyone~ from far enough away, but this guitar only 'fools' the sorts that are fooled by basic differences in construction and design - _at any distance._
