I found the ingredients on her Website. Ingredients: 1 cup of Water 1 cup of All Purpose Flour 3 Tbsp of Unsalted Butter 1 Tbsp of Vegetable Oil 4 Eggs 1 Tbsp of Granulated Sugar ½ tsp of Salt 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract Canola Oil for frying ½ cup of Granulated Sugar for coating 1 Tsp of Ground CinnamonProcess, 1) In a large dutch oven, add enough canola oil to fill the pan about half way, heat it over medium heat to heat it to 375 degrees. You can also use a deep fryer for this.2) In a large saucepan, add the water, butter, vegetable oil, 1 Tbsp of sugar, vanilla and salt, bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to low and add the flour, stirring constantly until the mixture turns into a ball, cook this mixture for about 1 minute. (Remember to constantly stir) 3) Add the dough into the bowl and add one egg a time and mixing well after each addition to make sure the egg is well combined. 4) Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. 5) Pipe 5 inch ropes into the hot oil (be very careful) and make sure you only cook a few at a time so you don’t bring down the temperature of the oil. Cook them for a few minutes on each side or until deeply golden brown. 6) Drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil and then dip them in the cinnamon sugar. Repeat with your remaining batter and serve right away! Post By: Laura Vitale

So i'm a gastronomie student and this are churros i mean not the tradicional ones but they are! Churros are made different ways it depends on the country you are. Churros are Mexican they made them after the Spanish came to México, also it has a French influence because of the batter, so this recipe is good. And the thing is since in every country are different also the way you eat them! In mexico you can find them with filling, with dulce de leche, with chocolate sauce or hot chocolate, Please don't judge every point of view.
+ChandlerKnowsBest Why do I have to go and search all over her website to find something that would take 15 seconds more to mention as she's preparing? The link provided does not even take you to the recipe, but only to her site where you then have to search for the recipe! I think it's rude to not provide the information that is needed and instead hide it on a website so you can drive traffic there.
+Jim Fleckenstein lol, poor guy, it's soooo hard to click some buttons. You act like she's sending you on a real life scavenger hunt. It was never that serious.
hijabi shaymah Everything turned out perfect till the mixture. But when I poured it in the deep fry bowl, My churro kinda swelled and was sorta filled with air. Idk what went wrong but the shape wasnt even straight, it turned round. Any idea why this is happening anyone?
These look yummy. And these do look like churros. Well in australia this is what churros look like. PEOPLE IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE RECIPE THEN DON'T MAKE IT, INSTEAD OF BEING SO RUDE.
Luis Llorens x Mexican isn't a race Spanish is and even if it was a race it would be Spanish because the race Spanish comes from Mexico leading people to think that Mexican is a race so you are wrong 👎👎👎👎👎👎
my mom makes this just with olive oil, salt, flour and water, maybe rising powder, but never with eggs, butter or vanilla extract and i´m spanish. anyway, I love you channel! suscribed ^^
I saw someone online making churros but it wasn't good enough so as I'm typing in "how to make churros" in the RUclips search bar, I was thinking that Laura should have one. Turns out she does and now I'm here :D
I made the recipe his evening. It turned out GREAT! The batter made about 40 churros. My nephew loved them and ate about 1/2 of them himself. The only thing I did different was to use a hand mixer to mix in the four egg. That was just too much stirring for me. The mixer will gum up the beaters some. However all you need do is to scrape the batter off. The churros themselves are not that sweet, but with the cinnamon sugar and dipping sauce (Chocolate, Strawberry and Caramel) it made up for it. I used a medium 9 point curve star tip on my decorator plus. Oh, I recommend using kitchen scissors instead of a knife to cut the churros off. They were beautiful. Thanks Laura.
I love your recipes but I tried this tonight and It did not look like yours after I added the eggs. It would not mix right was runnier then yours. what did you use to mix your eggs in to the flour mixture?
Fatma Albadri Oh wow...that sounds good...as a matter of fact I just made some yesterday. When i make the Churros on Sunday 10/26/2014, I will try it. Thanks for the tip!
You used to much eggs. I juist used 2 eggs. The reason is I did this is because you wil get a much nicer shape to the churros when they come out of the piper bag.
So I tried to make this and it was going good until I had to mix the eggs in. I added them in one at a time but the dough would not mix at all. I was very unhappy . There were a lot of lumps.
Didn't work for me 😭😭😭I just tried this recipe. I was so confident that this was going to work because I've made many of your recipes before, but that wasn't the case. I followed the recipe step-by-step and as soon as mycurros dropped into the oil they puffed up like 2.5x their size. I let them fu until golden brown and then I took them out of the oil and couple seconds later they were completely deflated. When I picked on up it was completely soggy and drenched in oil. I tried many different things to see what I was doing wrong but none of them worked. Did this happen to anyone else? Does anyone have an answer for me? Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Happened to me too but mine didn't deflate and they would be all nice and gold from the outside but in the inside not fully breaded and cooked so idk 😕
I really love your channel because it's clear to see what you are doing, I can understand you. And you have so many recipes I have wanted to make at home. I am obsessed with baking so you are my favorite. I don't know if you have done these thigns yet and I'm a little lazy to look, but have you done fried icecream, cookie cakes, country fried steak, toffee brownies, nutella croissants rolls, carmel apples, and funnel cake. I have more but I would like to see these first. Please. Thanx.
if i don't have any butter will it still taste good? also i don't have the fancy funnel thing i hope just using a ziplock bag and cutting a hole in the bottom will work
Awesome recipe it was very easy to make, my churros were so perfect and tasty that I only got to eat one:( I hate my siblings I was making them and every time I turned around they'll grab them. Next time I'm kicking them out of the kitchen.
Hi Laura, just wanted to give my feedback on this recipe. I LOVE your videos and have made a ton of your recipes but I just wasn't a fan of this one. They turned out so eggy it tasted like fried eggs rolled in cinnamon sugar - not good! They didnt' taste at all like churros. I will try a different recipe without eggs since that seemed to be the problem. I recommend re-vamping this recipe since it seems like many people are saying they didn't turn out well. :)
Laura in the Kitchen I'd like to try this one out and perhaps this is mentioned on your website but what do you do with the canola oil after you've finished? How do you dispose of it?
How we do the recipe in Spain is kinda different (vanilla is not required). And we don´t mix them with sugar very often. Chocolate, that´s the magic, we dip them into hot chocolate for breakfast and they are... amazing. I can still remember the smell of my granny homemade churros, eran increibles. Nice video!
Many people make this with choux pastry base, as she did. That's what gives it the very airy interior, because mixing the eggs into it incorporate air.
I'm so mad right now... I tried this recipe TWICE, and I swear I usually success at cooking but GOD, twice wrong... They didn't have enough flavour and they had air inside
+Mari Ramos Hmmm, I'm not sure about this but you may have cooked the flour mixture too long. Unlike cream puffs and eclairs, you don't need to cook the flour mixture to evaporate the excess moisture to promote hollowness in the center. I think you need the moisture to prevent hollowing, but I'm not sure. I compare this to cream puffs because it looks like the same process as with pate a choux.
Thanks for all Mexican recipes beside Mexican food curse Italian its my favorite food so Im so glad I found you I'll try to make all your recipes as soon as possible
Why do people from other countries think they can make our food??? This tastes NOTHING like Churros... it tastes like straight up French toast. Worst recipe eveerrr !!!
My friend and I made these, the mixture was perfect!! However we didn't put the oil in the oven first just straight into the pan. They were really yum!
You've inspired me to make my most favorite snack...I grew up with in Miami..Cuban churros! We make them the Spanish way..the recipe from Spain. And we only roll them in sugar..no cinnamon! The Mexican's dough is a different recipe...💖

Why do people from other countries think they can make our food??? This tastes NOTHING like Churros... it tastes like straight up French toast. Worst recipe eveerrr !!!
well then u make your won video and show us how to make churros instead of critizising...that is worst!!!! I MADE THIS VERSION AND THEY WERE GREAT...
My friend and I made these, the mixture was perfect!! However we didn't put the oil in the oven first just straight into the pan. They were really yum!
My churros turned really light and crispy, it was really delicious.Thank you Laura!
Realy simple and nice. Thanks for the recipe
You've inspired me to make my most favorite snack...I grew up with in Miami..Cuban churros! We make them the Spanish way..the recipe from Spain. And we only roll them in sugar..no cinnamon! The Mexican's dough is a different recipe...💖

well, canola is healthier for you but you can also use vegetable or soy or whatever you'd like to :)
