i used the jumping squat, and bryce lewis warmup for deadlifts (from supertraining video) and had the best work out ive had in weeks. really activates and warms up the body. going to use both every workout now.

I Have incorporated the barbell jump squat and med throw with old jumping programs but never the banded kettle bell swing !!! Definitely incorporating tomorrow! Thanks

Before squatting doing some plyo box jumps with max power really fires the CNS up, been doing them for about 2 weeks now and it's amazing how much better the squats feel

I've seen Matt do a similar video to this one where he also recommended Snatch high pulls and seated Box jumps. Those 2 I really like, but the whole jumping with 135 lbs just seems gnarly. It's a good idea, but a scary one in the wrong person's hands. Because you know, somebody is gonna come across this and they're gonna be like, "135 lbs is nothing. I can do it with 205 lbs," and they're just gonna get wrecked.

If jumping and triple extention is great warmup, shouldnt hang cleans be great? Perhaps with light weight, or only the bar?
yes for sure can be good but many/most dont have rhe technoqie or coaching thats why Matt probably didnt involve them.
Power cleans from a hanging position is probably alot safer and more straigthforward than a weighted jumpsquat. Alan Thrall, Omarisuf and Mark Rippetoe all have great videos on powercleans, check them out!
I normally warm up with a couple sets of angry pooping prior to pulling or squatting. Have I been doing it wrong?
