They aim the screen down because if it was aimed up you'd really be pissed because it would get the glare from the sun and you would have a hard time seeing it. That's why they aimed it down a little.
Thank you so much for putting this video on youtube and sharing it. I have been. I'm decided about pulling the trigger on one of these cars for a good decade now. I didn't want to get the first couple of years of the car, so they'd have the kinks all worked out by the time I decided to get one. But it's Ben lik pulling teeth to find a video about the good, bad, and ugly about the car. I DO love them. I love the look and the street to race option. I thought that was a pretty cool feature. So thank you very much.
well I know ill love this car because I been driving 6th gen for 5 years and I'm use to all these things already lol few more weeks and ill have this bad boy!
I own a 2019 Camaro and they also came with rubber floor mats. But the mats have holes that clip into the floor to hold it in place. I agree with the seat belts Chevrolet should have did something similar like the C7 Corvette. But I found the best way is to just grab it from the lower end.
They should’ve made a button on the steering wheel to be able to control the Mirror so you can be able to zoom in and out and not reach above to be able to do it
It bothers be that the side mirrors can't be adjusted or pushed forward/back from the outside. That's really helpful for parking in tight areas in a parking lot or on the street.
Valid points. I hate the blind spot on the right A pillar. It can be deadly. Calm yourself on your weight. Im 5.7 and much lighter than you and still struggle with the seat belt. The gas pedal also hurts my ankle on long rides
thinking of getting a ZL1 by mid july but man are these prices marked up right now. the car market is way up right now 5k above MSRP. Did you pay above MSRP also?
Nice whip!!! I have the same car looks like ya have the carbon fiber interior only difference is your back windows and I got a a10 i had since late February only complaint is keeping it clean my ss was artic blue could do a good time before a wash but the blue we got now gesh I literally carry microfibers in trunk and sum fw1 cleaning wax works good on the fly,,,didnt see if ya got a sunroof but its a great addition even tho some dislike it good vid and Goodluck with your car
How do you overcome the blindspot issue? Is the rearview mirror, used properly, going to help you to avoid changing lanes and hitting another car? I know it has blindspot monitoring. I'm interested in buying one and want to know how to deal with that.
Only thing I can't get back to stock is demo mode with the lights,,,,I had it go to demo mode 24/7 while in park but it stays with my color now in park cant figure it out!!!TALKING ABOUT IT IM INSIDE IT TRYING 2 FIGURE IT OUT LOL I am at work tho so time 2 kill time 2 kill 😅
What I truly hate about my 2017 ZL1 Camaro is the stock piece of crap supercharger, came to me with an empty intercooler and had no top end power. The svc mgr and advisor sent me to a speed shop that will "wake it up". As long as the motor isn't torn down it won't void my warrantee. So bolt ons were ok then the speed shop tells me with baseline testing it wasn't what it should be on the dyno, stock hp should be around 520-530hp. Mine was barely 500. Put headers on with a 15%overdrive pulley and an exhaust. Then the SOB svc advisor informed me "it's modified I cant touch it". For 2 effing years I'm fighting with that asshole, especially since there's internal svc bulletins that describe the problem of a leak causing brick destruction. The dealers are incompetent idiots. The "LT4 guru" at the dealer told me that all is well and there's no leaks. I pop the hood the idiot put dye and pressure tested the radiator!!! They had no clue WTF they were doing, i actually gave them the doc #'s for this problem, about 10% of ZL1's shipped from the factory like this. Finally I went back to the speed shop THEY sent me to, and now I told them to pop the top and see what's up... The exact problem the docs described was what happened to me. This was the 3rd ZL1 in his shop that had this problem. They charged it for me over the 2 years for me several times and in 7-10 days it was empty again, the air wasn't being cooled and the computer shut it down so at 120 you floor it it downshifted (10 sp auto) but it was agonizingly slow. Chevy wouldn't sell bricks and a weld would've fixed it but only the full new unit and it was gonna cost me $7295!! For that POS 1.7, no damn way. For $7500 I bought the whipple 2.9 supercharger and had the same speed shop install, calibrate and dynotune it, that platform is good for up to 1100hp. I'm not doing that, it's set at its lowest boost and had to put a smaller pulley on it as unless I do a meth injection the fuel system is maxed out, 790hp at the crank and dyno at 646 at the wheels. The meth will easily add 100hp to the wheels. Not doing that however, no need to, now at least. The first week I had it back it embarrassed a 5.0 mustang, dusted a Porsche GT3 and a hellcat. Can't find a redeye as the power levels are almost the same, 797 to my 790. Before you even put on a CAI make sure your supercharger does not have this problem I had, the dealers are incompetent scumbags. If it wasn't the 50th anniversary ZL1 I probably would've ditched it, now I'm glad I kept it and this whipple has serious potential for power upgrades. I say again, make sure all is well with yours before doing anything to your ZL1, even a CAI.
How about the fact that the mirrors don't retract like the vast majority of vehicles. If you accidently hit one there is no give -- you run the risk of tearing it off the car. That's just GM being cheap as hell. Piss-poor design.
I fucking hate shit talkers like you, stop talking shit about other peoples car mustangs hellcats and zl1 are nice but who is driving the zl1? Him your not so stop fucking talking shit pussy

Love your honesty in the beginning
The only i hate i my camaro is that im unable to see it while driving :/ Wish i could drive in 3rd view like in a racing game.
My opinion is that you are right about the visibility on the rear window .
well I know ill love this car because I been driving 6th gen for 5 years and I'm use to all these things already lol few more weeks and ill have this bad boy!
I love mine! I got the 2021 with 1LE track package but I'm also going to be tracking mine. Definitely replaced the tires to street tires

For the screen they intentionally put it like that to reduce the glare from the Sun

I like your car. But I absolutely love my truck. You know that your truck was a Cadillac compared to that hot rod you have now LOL
a new 10 speed mustang with a tire and e85 tune would part your cars ass like Moses parted the red sea... crazy.
